This is a classic Vermont farmhouse which has been beautifully renovated - and lies within the fascinating area of the Northeast Kingdom. Very clean and comfortable. Nancy is warm, accommodating, an excellent cook, as well as being a great source of information about the area. A short 2 minute drive to the Craftsbury Outdoor Center - which, if you like...

We were only able to stay one night at Mill Village Road B&B, but we very much enjoyed our time there. As other reviewers have mentioned, Nancy's home is a tastefully appointed 18th century restoration that conveys the relaxed elegance of its owner. Although Nancy is an unobtrusive host it was we that sought to learn more about her and...

I have stayed at B&Bs for 30 years. This one was very clean with lovely views but I cannot recommend it. The owner was polite but stressed when I arrived. It soon became apparent that Nancy was irritable and does not enjoy guests. She even mentioned she would prefer to not have guests but could not afford the home otherwise....

This is the first bad review I've gotten in 4 years of running the b&b. I guess it proves you can have a bad experience as a host as well as a guest. Plus I'm puzzled as to who this is...no "Alan S" stayed here. But I did have a Lori S. She's right, I was stressed having had a...

A disclosure first: I generally do not like B&Bs because I have found the ones I stayed in during past visits to the US too "cute" in their attempt to fill the homes with too many knickknacks and ornaments. In other words, I did not like the cluttered feel in these B&Bs. The Mill Village Road Inn was a breath...

We and another couple were visiting the Craftsbury Outdoor Center for its wonderful Oktoberfest this fall. Nancy's B&B proved to be a wonderful place to hang our hats. It is very convenient to the center as well as the Commons and Sterling College. The B&B is a beautifully and artistically restored 1860's farmhouse which blends the 19th and 21st centuries....

I stayed at the Mill Village Road B&B last winter twice - in late January and late February. The B&B was quaint, clean, quiet and extremely convenient to the Craftsbury Outdoor Center. In fact, access to the cross-country ski trails are right down the street. Nancy is a great hostess, cook and conversationalist. Her dogs Sam and Trouble were also...

I spent several nights at Mill Village Road B&B last summer when I was participating in a program at Sterling College. The house is immaculate and comfortably decorated. Nancy is very friendly and helpful - always willing to offer a recommendation for outdoor activities or local dining. I found it very relaxing and welcoming, and looked forward to a glass...

It doesn't get any better than this for lodging in Craftsbury! Nancy is a great hostess and her Bed and Breakfast reflects her excellent taste. I live in Albany, which is the next town north of Craftsbury and I always suggest Mill Village Road B&B to any friends and family visiting the area.

Visiting Nancy's B&B is as comfortable as staying with your best friend from school. The house is beautiful, comfortable and very quiet. Just around the corner from Craftsbury Outdoor Center and across the street from the mill pond, it's a great place to sleep in, go for a morning run or walk and then back for a tasty breakfast and...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
A beautifully renovated farmhouse with a great location - a mile north of Craftsbury Common, a classic Vermont village, we're halfway between Sterling College and the Craftsbury Outdoor Center, and two miles south of Camp Hosmer Point. The B&B is owned by Nancy Moran, a former New York Times photojournalist who's lived in Saigon, Beirut, London and Paris. We're at the center of Vermont's local food movement - close to organic farms, dairies, cheese makers and breweries. Fish or swim across the road in Little Hosmer Pond or, in the winter, ski out the door. Or relax on the terrace or by the fireplace. The rooms are very quiet. ... more   less
