My husband and I have been to the Barrows House for several meals now (we live about six miles away so we haven't stayed there). We are vegan and Chef Matt prepares the most amazing meals for us, we just call ahead a day or two and voila, we get there and have not been disappointed at all with the...

This is one of my favorite spots in the area. Friendly servers and Scott the bartender is the best. We had the pork loin special and a few appetizers. The best items on the menu are the shrimp and crab spring rolls and the beef tenderloin. There are several rooms to dine in, the bar room (my favorite), the dining...

We spent a lovely weekend here in early November. I can't say enough about this beautiful Inn, the amazingly friendly staff and the fantastic food! The town of Dorset is quaint and lovely. There is a great bakery across the street from the Inn, serving pastries, soups, sandwiches, flatbread pizza and coffee. They have an outdoor firepit, an outdoor pool...

Barrows House is a beautiful property that prides itself in top notch customer service. The grounds are private and well appointed. They go above and beyond whenever possible. I celebrated my birthday there and they were kind enough to leave a lovely gift for me in our room for my arrival. The room had every amenity one could hope for....

Can't wait to go back!! We usually stay in Manchester but this was a fantastic change of pace. Dorset is the quaint and quiet - real VT - sister town to Manchester. Barrows House is newly renovated with a fantastic restaurant and bar. Richard, the manager, is extremely welcoming and gracious. Try the Barrows House!!

We had a great time at Barrows House. It's a traditional New England Inn that has been updated to all modern amenities. Clean and well put together. We have been there 3 times already and always look forward returning to it.

Spent two quiet and cozy days in the Cardinal Suite before Christmas with my husband. It was perfect! The room was an upgrade which was truly appreciated! The fireplace and open space made it so relaxing! We had dinner both nights right at the bar in the Inn which was great! The food was just what we wanted...and it was...

We discovered Dorset by accident while dining in Manchester, Vt. in the fall. Someone told us to go and see the Marble House and ended up driving into the village of Dorset complete with a country store and a bakery called Dorset Rising. When we stayed in early December, the village was covered with just enough snow to add to...
