lovingly restored (the owners did all the decorating and will be delighted to tell you how they did it and share the history of the mansion) and expertly managed, this is the place to go to experience the quintessential new england B and B. Each room has a different literary theme and the breakfast is truly elegant. Coffee is ready...

The Marble Mansion was a very historical and impressive bed and breakfast. We found the architecture very interesting. And plenty of room. There were some high end touches--like soft pillows, ironed sheets, real silver, etc. In addition-the breakfast was excellent and filling! We would visit again if in the area.

We spent a night at The Marble Mansion in conjunction with a tour on the Caldwell Belle. We found the building to be very well kept and the owners friendly. It is a great location facing the town square and exactly what you would think of when thinking of a quant Vermont B&B. The rooms are spacious with high ceilings...

My husband and I stayed at this wonderful Inn while traveling through the area. We were so happy with our decision to stay at the Marble Mansion. Our room with attached bathroom was beautiful and spacious. We were treated like royalty. The home has so much history. The rooms were all tastefully decorated and we had so much fun looking...

Breakfast was served in the sun room overlooking the back acreage. The inn's resident feline offered up the morning entertainment as he jumped at the lower branches of a tree to scare a pigeon. The hospitality was exceptional. Sharon greeted us at the door upon our arrival. We were shown to our rooms and given a tour of the mansion....

What a great place. We've stayed at a few different inns in the area and this was by far the nicest.Plus its made out of marble! The rooms are beautiful and the place is tastefully decorated, not overly cutesy like so many inns. The breakfasts were great and the people there went out of their way to make us happy....

My hubby and I stayed here while visiting family in the area and we loved it. In fact, my husband is still talking about the breakfasts. We stay a quite a few B&Bs through the year, and by far, this was the very best spot for breakfast. Each day was different - stuffed French Toast, individual baked eggs in ramekins,...

I just spent a great night at the Marble Mansion Inn with my husband and three friends. Upon our arrival, Sharon gave us a tour and a historical account of the Allen family who originally built and lived in the mansion. The mansion, built in 1866, is decorated with antique furnishings and lovely elaborate chandeliers. Both Sharon and her husband...

On the wall of the sunroom of the inn an artist had stenciled the phrase, to the effect of "enter as strangers, leave as friends." The quote shows up at a lot of different establishments. Here, it is true. David gave us a grand tour of the most beautiful B&B at which we have ever overnighted. His wife Sharon is...
