Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The receptionist said they could not get a hold of me to tell me they had flooding and had to cancel my reservations. I stayed at eight other hotels during a ten day trip. One of them contacted me because the office was closing and wanted to tell me they would put a key in a drop box. I used the same service to book the hotel. It still showed the booking was confirmed on priceline. They said they had to cancel the reservations through priceline and had a room available. The room was not cancelled thru priceline and it took me over a week to get my money back thru priceline. This was them most expensive motel we stayed in and the AC did not cool the room down. Did not sleep very good. They have a few hotels and you I had to check in at the main hotel which I did not know. Found out over the phone. It had no breakfast, not a big deal. Room was ok. Just needed a new AC.

If you have any other choice do not stay here! Rooms are very outdated with uncomfortable beds. Very over-priced for what you get. No breakfast or amenities were offered and you have to register off-site at a different hotel

The was mold in the bathrrom. The coffee pot had mold growinng in it. The sliding glass door had mold on it. Multiple holes throught the siding. Wooden walkways were rotten with multiple trip hazards. The room reeked of stale urine, probably from all the animals living in it

Worn down since original owner sold. AC leaked , was noisy, and not very cool. Slider door glass was opaque, not by design. Curtain pulls we’re not smooth operating. Handicapped accessible shower was jerry rigged with hose down side and up to shower head. Coffee, but no tea in room or office. Couldn’t split bill so each could pay half.

If you go to this motel, be aware that they have rooms on both side of the street and it's confusing when trying to find the office. A very clean but very OLD motel. Don't lose your room key as there is no one to let you in after

My week at Chalet motel in Manchester Center is very comfortable for me and my service dog Kep. It’s very clean, with very nice carpet I like the towels and there is a heated lamp in the bathroom. I see the pool and beautiful Vermont hills from my window. Appy, Kristi, and Hanley were very courteous and helpful. The grounds are well taken care of. Very pleasant and close to all Manchester. -J Gavroy

My family and I have come to Manchester, VT for years and have stayed at this hotel nearly every year since before it was taken over by Travelodge. There is a decent amount of us with children of varying ages and we prefer to have adjoining rooms so that we can all spend time together. In the decade or more that we have been staying here we have never had a problem. However this year, even though we made our reservations a month in advance as well as called and spoke with someone about adjoining rooms, our request was not noted down and my family had three separate rooms. We found that all other rooms were booked and there was nothing they could do. Our credit card was already charged and it was past 7 pm so it was too late to find other accomodations. I know this might not seem to be such a big deal to others but I think customer service is important. If you tell a customer a request has been noted, you follow through. If a mistake is made, you try to do something to make up for it. We never had this problem in the past when the hotel was family run. There are many other options to stay in the area and we only continue to stay here our of habit. Next time we'll get a suite at the newer Hampton Inn or one of the many other options in the area. If this is the example that is set by Travelodge, then I suggest others do the same. There are much newer hotels in the area and some lovely bed and breakfasts as well. The Chalet Motel is not worth it.

Only rated a 1 because you have to choose one. DO NOT stay here! Place is a total dump! Room was in annex down the street. No ice machine and we were told to go to the Econolodge (another dump apparently run by same people) for ice. The room smelled like years’ old smoke, moldy carpet. I brought Clorox wipes and wiped down anything we would possibly touch and each wipe was brown/black after. Wore socks when in room and they were filthy! Sheets were strange gray color, same for towels in bathroom along with yellow stains. Just really gross The Wyndham Hotel group is buying up these dumps and selling franchises. Apparently they collect their money and don’t give a flying crap about how they’re run or kept up. NEVER AGAIN will I stay at a Wyndham property. Beware; you’ve been warned

Good experience, just the internet and the 200 minimum characters was the issue, why do you need 200 characters to describe what you need to tell? Again just typing to fill, but overall experience was good
