We recently stayed at A Room in the Village while our daughter participated in an athletic championship at Middlebury. Staying here made our weekend absolutely perfect! The accommodations are warm and inviting. Breakfast was delicious every morning with so much attention to detail. Patti is so gracious and a wonderful host. We left feeling very pampered and relaxed. We can't...

We were so very fortunate to find A Room in the Village for a 3 night stay recently in Middlebury. As expressed by other visitors the B&B is very well fitted however what makes this B&B special is the service and hospitality. We were unlucky not to have met Guntram but Patty was wonderful attending to all our needs -...

We stayed recently at A Room in the Village while visiting Middlebury with our daughter. Our room was perfectly suited for this, with a separate lofted sleeping area for her and a private ensuite bathroom with a double vanity. Every detail was well thought out - the towels were plentiful and thick, the Vermont bath products were wonderfully scented, there...

Our whole family spent a lovely three days in August in this comfortable Bed & Breakfast. Patty went out of her way to provide helpful information for dining and shopping in the area, and, once again, provided amazingly delicious and healthy breakfasts. It was a treat to sit around the table in her comfy kitchen/dining area and visit with her...

My wife and I recently stayed with Patty and Guntram as a little honeymoon weekend. We wanted to be sure to find a gay-friendly spot and were happy to find ourselves totally comfortable there. We stayed in the Blue Room and were charmed by its clean, artsy bedroom space and loft. Breakfast was copious and absolutely scrumptious, and they thoughtfully...

I had the fortune of staying here for 3 nights while visiting my kids at a local summer camp. My almost-elderly parents (sorry mom and dad!) stayed with me as well. My parents are tough customers and after checking out they reported that they had never had such a wonderful experience at a B&B. I have to concur! Patty and...

I had the privilege to stay in Patricia's blue room for four nights. The room is new, so are the facilities. The whole house is beautifully decorated, quiet, with a well-kept garden and surrounded by a friendly neighborhood. Patricia is keen in respecting privacy and I have not been bothered once. The breakfasts are delicious, home-made, fresh, and generous. I...

We stayed there for Chili Fest and it was wonderful. Great food. Great coffee! Great conversation with the guests. We felt like guests not clients. My husband still talks about their breakfast. We would stay there again in a heartbeat.

I stayed here for a three day visit in early May and the experience could not have been better. Walking distance to campus and town in a charming residential neighborhood, it provides a private off-street parking space for your car as well. Very clean, well-kept, and well-run, it provided the perfect blend of privacy and warmth. At breakfast (menu varies...

I came to Middlebury, Vermont to visit Middlebury College and discovered "A Room in the Village" almost by accident. From my initial convivial conversation with Patty I couldn't wait to arrive, and the friendly voice I conversed with transferred into thoughtful and well-meant hospitality; the breakfasts were delicious and conversations with Patty and Guntram were delightful and open. The Blue...
