Even if not located near the city centre, this charming bed & breakfast can satisfy all the needs of the traveller. Ms. Betsy is so a kind host that cannot be forgotten. To point out: breakfast, naturally wholly home made, is superlative with great taste and flavours. I suggest the pancakes with orange taste. The rooms are located in two... More

We really enjoyed our stay here as the lovely folks of Vermont welcomed us into their B&B for a night. We had been touring round New England and this provided a reasonably affordable stop off point in Montpelier (State Capital). The breakfast was a highlight, home cooked and lovely conversation around a large, shared dining table. Our host also gave... More

We stayed in Betsy's in October. The check-in was fine and the location very convenient to downtown. We stayed in the adjacent street fronting house, but still found it a bit odd that the proprietor did not show us our rooms, but only gave us the keys and said see you in the morning. The overall impression was that the... More

Stayed here one night, check in was friendly and quick. We got the room above the garage. Nice but a bit small. We slept well but beds are bit soft for my taste. Great breakfast, cocked to order. You share table with other guests if you like. The location is good, you down to the town in a few minutes... More

Breakfast was great and Hostess was courteous. Rooms we had were in adjacent house on second floor and it was nice because we were with another couple and we had two bedrooms with a sitting room and kitchen between the rooms. Rooms were clean with antique furniture which we were looking for. Street a little noisy early in morning with... More

We came in late and were offered the room above the garage a 2 roomed ( the suite) old shack and as we were only 2, were offered it at a good price, there isn't a lot available in Montpelier so we took the room, the room we had was tired but generous in size had wifi and cable TV... More

We had a confirmed 3 night reservation ay Betsy's B&B. There was no one around when we got there, but there was a key and a piece of paper with our name. The note said to go to our room in the house next door. We opened the room and someone's stuff was in the room! We called Betsy and... More

Some BNBs tend to get nothing but rave reviews, this doesn't seem to be one of them. However don't let the few poor reviews scare you away. True the buildings are old (they were after all built in the late 1800's), may not have been renovated or painted recently, and the interior not as neat or updated as newer and... More

Betsy's is actually two houses and as others say it is a bit dated, the owners and staff are nice and it is only a few minutes off the main street. However, it is a steep hill to walk up so the trips for evening meals was always in the car. The breakfasts are freshly baked to order and there... More

The house was nice but a bit dated. The owner was nice as was the help. Our main issue was it could have been a little cleaner. Also, no toiletries were provided in the bathroom. Only towels. Overall not too bad but no more than average.
