Let me start off by saying that under no circumstances would I expect a place as cheap as this to be anything of luxury. What I would expect, is for it to be clean. Please see attached photos. This place was actually so disgusting that we had to be rescued from it by our friends, to go stay elsewhere. Upon...

This is hardly an Inn. Irreliable heating in the winter (freezing in one room and hot in another), dirty common area, dirty floors, dead flies, TV from the 1990s, so-so breakfast. It is worse than a cheap motel.

I stayed at North Troy Inn with two friends after finishing the Long Trail. It is close to the trail, convenient and cheap, and I had heard that the breakfast food was amazing. I wish I had done a better research. The rooms are dingy and the bathrooms very outdated. The owner seemed very inconvenienced by having people stay there,...

Sam was an excellent inkeeper, and made me and my siblings feel very welcome to the area. She had a thorough knowledge of the surrounding area and all it had to offer, and as Canadians who have never been to Vermont before, this was invaluable. She and her husband were friendly and attentive to the needs of me and my...

One of my favorite places I've stayed. We used this as a place to recover as I finished section hiking the Long Trail. Yes, accommodations were modest, but clean and well maintained, and relatively inexpensive. The owners were very friendly and very accommodating. The antiques and paintings were just like being in a museum/gallery. Breakfast...amazing and the town of Troy...

I have stayed here each of the last 2 winters for ski trips to Jay Peak. I spend long days on the slopes, enjoy a good and leisurely dinner afterwards, and return to the Inn for a good night's sleep, an awesome breakfast, and great company around the breakfast table. Accomodations are modest, but clean and well maintained. The innkeeper...

My wife and I stayed at the North Troy Inn for 2 nights for a summer road biking trip. After 3 hours of biking on a Saturday, we returned to the Inn to change and shower only to discover that we were locked out. We were given no indication that we would not have access to our room or that...
