We loved the accommodation. Quiet and very "NewEnglandy". Jean is wonderful So attentive and warm and lovely. Was so wonderful to not be in the hustle and bustle of Burlington during a busy time of year to see the fall colors. The food was "comfort food"! Delicious. We are "sorta" healthy and were able to have oatmeal and fruit etc.... More

We were fortunate to be Jeanne's guests at Heron's Way. She is a delightful person, full of local lore, a great cook, and such a generous soul! (We needed an iron, we could borrow hers. We needed an umbrella because we forgot ours - she offered us one. Our son was late and then had even more travel complications, and... More

My mother, daughter and I stayed one night while we were spending a long weekend that involved exploring the Champlain Islands and taking the ferry over to NY for the remainder of the weekend. Jeanne's home makes you feel right at home as does her welcoming nature. The view through all her windows is just gorgeous. We stayed in the... More

My husband and I spent 4 nights at Heron's Way in late August. The accommodations were perfect for us. Heron's way is very homey and has a laid back atmosphere. The owner Jeanne is very friendly and welcomes you into her home like you were family. We had the second floor room and it was spacious and comfortable. Jeanne is... More

We prefer to stay and B&B's rather than chain hotels. This one did not disappoint. Now, if you are looking for luxury, do not stay here! You will not be pleased. However, if you are looking to be welcomed as family into someone's home, this is the place to be. You walk into a lived in home, not a sterile... More

Jeanne, the proprietor is the reason to visit this B&B. She makes you feel like a college kid coming home for the holidays. My husband and I visited this B&B for his family reunion, and I'm proud to say that we were her first visitors from Alabama. Now she can boast that she's had visitors from all 50 states! While... Herons Way was a great B&B and we loved staying there. Jeanne was extremely welcoming, friendly, helpful and was fun to talk to. And the breakfasts were plentiful, varied, and delicious. The location was great for us, as we were biking for several days in the late Fall. There was easy access, and the view of the bay was fantastic.... More

Heron's Way is probably the best B&B that I've ever stayed in. I hardly know where to begin. We stayed for four nights on a short bicycling vacation around the Champlain Islands. The proprietor, Jeanne, is very welcoming and accommodating and is also very knowledgeable about local wildlife, the lake, restaurants in the area, biking in the area, etc. Our... More

“Heron's Way has two rooms available: a downstairs suite, actually two rooms with a bathroom, and a large room upstairs with a bathroom. The rooms are smaller in the downstairs suite, and I don't think there is a view of the lake from those rooms, but they are probably very suitable for a family with children.”
