My family and I have been eating at this inn for 30 years. Since being renovated and acquired by Jim Barneslast fall, we figures that Thanksgiving weekend of this year was a good time to try it again. We made a reservation, requesting the main dining and not the bar faire. We were 9 people.upon arriving for our reservation we...

To begin, we would like to offer our apologies for a less than stellar experience. The Hermitage Inn is our flagship property and we take your suggestions with great concern. Our fine dining menu has been updated for the Holiday season and will be in place starting December 9th and we would your encourage your return. We also use extremely...

The Hermitage Pub was redone a few years ago, but has retained the original casual feel, but now has an upscale touch. The menu is varied and original with salads, fish, steak, burgers, chicken and Mac N Cheese, etc. The flatbread is excellent and original - great crust. The service is always friendly and attentive, but last night (Nikki I...

Don’t read into this too much. And don’t hold this against them as this is probably one of the nicest places to stay in the surrounded area. It is a very nice inn. Very luxurious. We stayed in the Coldbrook suite. Relatively dark room with small windows that you would expect in a refurbished old house. There really are no...

My family and I went to The Hermitage with another family for three days and two nights this past New Year's Eve. We had a great time! The club itself is more than anyone could ask for with skiing on a private mountain, spa services, entertainment in an incredible clubhouse that has to be experienced. The food was excellent and...

My family and I visited the Hermitage Inn and were pleased with the coziness of the bar and the dining room. The service; however, was the worst imaginable. My son-in-law made a reservation for 9 people 3 weeks ago. When he called to confirm, they had lost the reservation so he made it again. When he called to confirm a...

The vision Jim Barnes had for the area is not only beautiful but provides the vehicle for the community to sustain itself. The quality of the service and people made our visit memorable. Thank you Jim, Donna and family for your commitment and allowing us to share this most wonderful week end! Pat and Don Griesdorn

My wife made reservations for our 25th anniversary back in early September. When we arrived we were told that the pub and restaurants were closed for renovations. As part of the package we would have access to The Hermitage restaurant and a couple of their affiliated inns for dinner. It would have been nice to have been told in advance...

We had a great time in Vermont, and loved staying at the Hermitage Inn. What a wonderful place to stay, definitely planning a return trip. Can't wait to see the fall foliage again, we didn’t realize just how amazing the fall colors can be. Thanks for the great food and accommodations!

A ski area of decades-long high repute and a golf course that was the childhood home of PGA pro Keegan Bradley - there's something here for every sportsman. Plus it's the most convenient and centrally located resorts in Vermont.

We were in Vermont for a friends wedding at the Hermitage Inn. The rooms were excellent - large and great bathrooms. The settings were very pretty and great walks around the area. The staff were very helpful and accommodating and rooms kept clean and nice touch with free water and soft drinks in the fridge. The only downside was the...
