My boyfriend and I spent a long weekend at the Brass Bed B&B at the end of Summer. Such a beautiful property and the room was so cozy and comfortable. Our visit to the Brass Bed B&B exceeded our expectations. Laraine and Skip were great hosts. Their home is warm and welcoming. The breakfast was delightful--great muffins, breads, fresh fruit, hard boiled eggs--perfect! Our living area was perfect. Their beautiful landscaping was a reflection of their love of nature. We will definitely return.

My husband and I spent a long weekend at the Brass Bed in the middle of the summer and had a great time. This isn't your run-of-the-mill B&B. Laraine and Skip only rent out the room (which is really a suite) to one family at a time, so you can avoid the awkward breakfasts around community tables at so many... More

This is a beautiful place! the owners are both shapers of landscape: on the hillside setting are rock gardens, terraces, sculptures and a pond. Art abounds mostly Skip's humorous graphics which are lots of fun. Breakfast is great, partyly because Larraine is a great cook and also because you get to enjoy it in private either in the sweet living... More

The Brass Bed B&B is in a beautiful and quiet setting not far from the main road. Charming decor. Laraine had thought of everything to make our stay comfortable and convenient. We just wish we'd had more time to spend there. We've already booked a return!

No only was this a lovely location and accommodations, but the owners Laraine and Skip are very sweet and made our stay that much more special. The views are beautiful, the surroundings quiet and peaceful...it really does feel like a home away from home. A perfect get away....we will definitely be back again!

My father and I came to the Wilmington area for a mutual friend's party and stayed here at our friend's recommendation. The location just outside of Wilmington was convenient and easy to find because there are small signs from the main road directing travelers to the gallery attached to the B&B. We discovered the Brass Bed serendipitously, and we are so glad we did! We love it here...so cozy, so comfortable, such great hospitality. And such a beautiful setting. Our stay for my birthday in February was our third to the Brass Bed, and we hope to visit again soon. It's our favorite getaway!
