I felt confident I had picked a special place for our 37th anniversary, and L'Auberge Provencale exceeded all expectations. When we arrived, Rutledge interrupted a conversation to welcome us and show us our room. I had picked the blue room which proved to be beautifully decorated, elegant, charming and comfortable. When we arrived for dinner we found the menu had...

We return to L'auberge Provencale again and again. The food is outstanding - including the wonderful breakfast - creatively prepared, cooked perfectly, and always delicious. The rooms are lovely, the owners and their staff are friendly and caring people, and the grounds and surrounding area are beautiful. Happily for us we live close enough to come frequently.

L'Auberge Provencale has a caring staff that truly takes care of your every need before you’re able to ask. The property and room scream relaxation from the hustle and bustle of city life. Everything was first-rate until we reached dinner at the inn. The service and wait staff did a fantastic job, however the food left a lot to be...

We are glad you enjoyed the property; the fantastic service and staff and we too are disappointed of your review of the Halibut dish. Poach Halibut is not for everyone , even fish lovers. We wish you would have addressed the issue with our wait staff at dinner and it would have been remedied. We take every compliment and critique...

The first activity planned for my husband's birthday week was a stay at L'Auberge Provencale. My husband has a high stress job and is usually wound pretty tight. After a fun cooking class, a delightful chat over wine and cheese with the owners and a relaxing steam shower you could just see the stress melt away.

I chose this B&B to propose to my girlfriend, and I couldn't have picked a better place. The room was warm and inviting, the food was exquisite and the service was kind and professional at every turn. The innkeepers helped ensure that our stay was perfect and an everlasting memory. We will be returning.

For my husband and me, this inn is quite special. We were married there on the porch several years ago. The wedding, food and hospitality was perfect! Now, it's our favorite place to go celebrate big birthdays/ anniversaries. We love the beautiful drive out there. Once there - it feels a million miles away from our stressful jobs. The Borels...

We originally booked a room because the restaurant had good reviews and the inn is 10 minutes from I81 ( easy to get back on to continue our journey) and Winchester is halfway between our home in the Hudson Valley and our family in Raleigh NC. We had not anticipated the lovliness of the short drive to the inn. From the...

I have had the extreme pleasure of staying at L'Auberge several times since they first opened over 25 years ago. It is located in White Post, VA not far from the lovely sight of the Shenandoah River and in full view of the Blue Ridge mountains. Consistency is the best compliment. I have been there for every season of the...

My boyfriend surprised me with a trip to the Virginia wine country, and our stay at L'Auberge Provencale made the trip outstanding. We were treated to a stay in a gorgeous, very romantic suite, complete with woodburning fireplace, jacuzzi tub, champagne on ice, roses, chocolate-covered strawberries, and even a selection of music. The staff treated us wonderfully, even preparing a...

We have stayed here 3 times - each time is better than the last! Great Rooms. Service that is attentive and extremely thoughtful without ever being overbearing or intrusive.
