We have chosen to stay at the Charlottesville English Inn repeatedly whenever we visit our daughter in Charlottesville. Beds are exceptionally comfortable, breakfast is excellent and hotel staff are pleasant and accommodating. We had a problem with one of the room doors, and they quickly offered to move us to a different (and nearby) room so that they could fix...

We needed a hotel in the Charlottesville area that was easily accessible to the UVA Hospital and that didn't cost an arm and a leg. The English Inn of Charlottesville offered a UVA discount, was in a great location and had very good Trip Advisor reviews so we gave it a try. Generally, we had a nice visit and I...

We enjoyed our stay very much. Breakfast was great. Hubby loved the baked apples. Afternoon tea was a nice touch. Front desk was very accommodating when we needed any information or assistance. Myra is amazing!

We stayed at the English inn over thanksgiving. The price was the main factor in staying and given the price we got its hard to really complain. Having said that the hotel was really nothing special and was a pretty standard 3 star experience and a little tatty around the edges. Breakfast was included which was pretty typical low cost...

We have stayed at the English Inn several times. Love the friendly staff and the overall welcomed feel of the property. A nice breakfast; tea and cookies by the fireplace. Extra surprise - the Christmas decorations were up.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was quiet and clean. There was an initial burst of noise from some very excited members of a debate club but all was quiet by 11 PM...except for the Muzak that was being played at the front door...which I could faintly hear when I woke up (several times) during the night....

Your policy for check in for a wedding is late for an early wedding. I had to make several calls to make sure that we had a room available to us in order to ready ourselves for the wedding. Kathy Brown and the housekeeping manager Jesse were very good and had us a room to get dresses in. Thank you

The rooms at the English Inn are comfortable, although on one side there is a highway that can be loud. I believe parts of the hotel have been redone, but our room was older, no thermostat to control the temperature. The breakfast is very nice, the staff seem pretty friendly. Our main problem was the pool. We stayed there specifically...

Our favorite place to stay in Charlottesville. We book it for all the home football games and some of the basketball games. The breakfast is a delight and enjoy the chocolate chip cookie after the game. .

We stayed here for three nights. A few items the first night had me leaning toward a lower rating - no clean towels at the pool, cold coffee in the lobby (better to empty the container and take it away than leave cold coffee that we dispensed and then had to figure out where to get rid of it), etc....
