Although it is difficult to find in the dark when coming in late, it is one of the most relaxing places to stay as it is extremely quiet and very comfortable. Its location on the UVA Campus makes it the perfect spot if you have business in Charlottesville. It is in a perfect location for walking to the JPJ (basketball...

I stayed here for a few nights given activities at Darden, and the location can't be beat. The parking is terrific (and free!), and everything was clean. The facilities are a bit old though - the bathroom isn't modern, and the ventilation in the room was particularly poor ... I was always either too hot or too cold. There are...

Very nice alternative to the English Inn. No breakfast but a nice room at a good rate. We even got a 20% discount from the rate quoted when we booked the room. Good location. We would stay there again.

It is my son's fourth year at UVA and I just a few weeks ago discovered The Inn at Darden. What a pleasant surprise it was to be able to stay right on the grounds of the university and feel like I was part of the pulse of UVA during their annual film festival. The room was clean and simple...

I had a tolerable 2 night stay here in August 2016. The location is excellent for anyone with business at UVA, or visiting children or friends at UVA, It is a short drive or 10 to 15 minute walk to the Barracks Road shopping center. Furthermore, parking is easy which is saying a lot on the UVA grounds. However, the...

" Our room was very nice". King size bed. We had a nice view from our window". Maid service good". Had to walk a mile to get to the nearest soda machine". Parking ok as long you have a parking voucher for your vehicle". " Check-in was somewhat rude". Be there at the time required". "We were too early and...

Coming from a 1971 UVA grad, it's time to give back what I received too often--a "C." This is not a bad Inn, but just "Not great"--average! It certainly has the potential to be a beautiful Inn, but has missed the mark. My wife and I come to C'ville often, and usually stay at the Hampton Inn near the hospital,...

The location is great for visiting UVA, but I found that they were not great about accommodating any requests. My friend and I were in town for a wedding and would have liked to check in about an hour early in order to change in our room. We were informed that this was not possible and that we would have...

I came here as part of an executive business course and it was first class all the way. From check in to check out, everything was great. Chris who checked me in was an awesome and very friendly employee. The bartender in the bar below the check in office was very friendly and accommodating as well. PS the bar doesn't...

I stayed here for a week in conjunction with an Executive training course at UVA. The room had a queen sized bed with comfortable (firm) mattress, a comfortable chair and ottoman to read or watch TV, a fridge and microwave, coffee maker, safe, iron, hairdryer. Very clean and able to also control the temp. The inn has 24/7 front desk...
