The facility and location on top of the mountain is very nice, however the owners, especially Mr Lawrence, is not someone who belongs in a B&B. We stayed at the Lodge on July 14th and 15th, to check it out for our family's (30 people for three days) Thanksgiving get together, the breakfast is plastic rapped crullers and cereal in...

John I preferred not to answer your email but from a business standpoint I must. I never hard sell my home to anyone. I never told you you could use our kitchen to cook and prepare meals. It is against health department regulations and you will not find it on our website. I explained to you that caterers are required...

We spent two nights here while cycling on the Blue Ridge Parkway. The accommodations were excellent, Jesse and Bonnie were great and the 360 degree panoramic views from the deck were spectacular. I would highly recommend it.

The place is nice, fantastic view but the room was old fashioned, cold with no extra blankets We were welcomed ( not the exact word!!) By an unsmiling man who showed us the place Usually in this type of lodging breakfast is the opportunity to sit around the table with good things to eat cooked by the owners and an...

Our website clearly spells out that we provide a continental breakfast and what we offer. We have never offered a cooked breakfast as some folks offer. We are bound by health department rules that food must be offered in separate packaging. We regret that you did not understand our offering. We wish you had raised your concern to us and...

This was one of our night stop overs heading from Front Royal to Asheville and it will be hard to beat. Located at the end of a gravel track at the top of the mountain is this amazing ranch. It has a beautiful setting with huge views in all directions. We had the place to,ourselves. Waking up early I watched...

I was one of a group who helped out with a wedding at the Bent Mountain Lodge. The location is beautiful, the rooms are nice, and the sizable system of decks seem a perfect place to have a party. BE WARNED: The proprietor is as unaccommodating as he could possibly be. A bit like Fawlty Towers, but utterly lacking the...

This B&B was totally unexpected. We arrived in the dark, so we couldn't really appreciate it. The house is approximately 15,000 (no mistake) square feet and is captivating. Everything was built of wood and is extremely well kept up. When we woke the next morning, we were overwhelmed by the beauty of the the house and the surrounding mountain range....

I have read with interest the review below, whereby the lady states she almost went over the edge of the mountain. Losing the cars engine, power steering and brakes is scary, but please don't make it more than it is. This is a total fabrication. The road up to the lodge is approximately 1/2 mile long on gravel, from the...

We were visiting friends in Raleigh and decided to take advantage of a Bed and Breakfast.com gift card our children gave us. I gave Bonnie my credit card number for the deposit money, then found that they didn't accept the B&B gift card. Jesse offered to cancel our reservation, but we decided to keep it anyway. We arrived late, about...

“If you like traveling with a canine companion, this place is quite animal friendly. Several other guests had their pets with them, which we enjoyed immensely. You might want to bring a cooler with your own supper food, since the place is fairly isolated. There is a convenient kitchenette for guests, with refrigerator, microwave, and even a washer and dryer. A "guest" frig is inside the main lodge, and is stocked with drinks and a few snacks.”
