Have been going back to Emory for many years and staying in hotels in Abingdon. I found this gem through friends and am so glad I went there. Rocky and Jayne were incredible hosts and made sure we had everything we needed....from the amenities in the cabin to making sure we had a fire pit every night overlooking our beautiful...

Our family grew up in the sixties in Emory, Virginia when our dad was Dean of Students at Emory and Henry College. We went back this weekend to see where used used to live and walk the campus. Now Emory has NO grocery store, NO gas stations, no shopping, but it does have a beautifully restored "Dr. Hillman's house" bed...

In keeping w/ my effort to be honest, I would like to first say this: There is a tiny, self-serving part of me that does not want to write this review. Because it means next time I want to go here, the rooms may all be booked!!!! Our stay here with friends for a weekend of football at the Battle...

My Mom, Sister and I try to have a "Girls Weekend" every fall. This year, we stayed at The Emory House B&B in the Underwood Suite. It was wonderful - all the comforts of home with the benefits of being away! The Emory House has lovely antiques and beautiful decor - but our suite had very up to date bathrooms,...

My husband and I recently spent a lovely night in the Hillman Suite. It was beautifully furnished, very comfortable and perfectly suited our needs. The bed was just the right combination of firm/soft and the pillow was heavenly! Rocky Underwood greeted us in the parking area and escorted us around to the entrance of the B & B. I was...

Such a wonderful and unique experience, staying at the Edmondson cabin (behind the Emory House B&B, owned and operated by the same folks). Once you open the door to this very authentic old cabin, you fall in love with it! To me, it's was like taking a walk back in time, like in the 1700's time period. The snacks, the...

I was attending a conference at Emory and Henry College and, never being in the area before, was searching for a place to stay that wasn't miles away. Emory House came up in my search for Bed and Breakfast places as a first. This was a perfect stay! Their website provide great pictures, which incidentally don't really do it full...

At this Bed and Breakfast, they have thought of everything. The decor was perfect for a comfortable stay, very clean and charming. The beds were very comfortable, beautiful linens and quiet atmosphere for the rest we desired. The breakfast was one of the best we have had at a bed and breakfast (and we stay at them frequently!) served by...

We spent the weekend at the Emory House during my son's recruiting visit to Emory & Henry! What an unforgettable experience! Greeted warmly by the owner, Rocky Underwood, we were treated to complimentary wine and snacks in the cozy living room of this elegant bed and breakfast! After a relaxing evening by the fire listening to soft jazz, we retired...

My wife and I recently stayed at the Emory House in Emory VA while visiting our daughter who is a freshman at Emory & Henry College. It was one the best experiences we have ever had at a "bed and breakfast" type lodging and we have stayed at several ! Rocky Underwood is the consummate owner/operator... not only is he...
