Stayed here on previous occasions and keep returning due to the quality of the accommodation, food (lots of it) and the friendly and welcoming staff. One of the highlights of staying here is the atmosphere at mealtimes sharing the days experiences with fellow guests who come from all parts of the world as well as the UK. Look forward to...

This is the forth time we have stayed here and never disappointed, lovely people, great food and very reasonably priced. The bonus is that on can take dogs (we have two large ones). No onder people go back time and again from all over the country. Also excellent for vegitarians as nothing is too much trouble in the food department.

We visited Seatoller House for the 6th time in July this year. For us, as keen walkers, the welcome, food, general comfort and atmosphere was, as ever, exceptional. The location is hard to beat for convenience and accessibility to the mountains.

We ended up in Seatoller House by chance - and are so grateful we did. Our room was comfortable and homely, we loved the guest lounge and kitchen facilities. The bathrooms had just been renovated! The dinners and breakfasts were fabulous. And probably the best part was the other guests - mostly regulars who return year after year - were...

I have stayed many times at Seatoller House. It's always magic to arrive and sad to leave. Seatoller is a tiny village in a gorgeous Lakeland setting. The house is full of history and character, but also very comfortable and relaxed. Every room is different, each with a lovely view of the surrounding hills or the large garden that surrounds...

Our group of friends met again at Seatoller House for nine days in early September. We calculated that we have now been going every year for twenty five years. Nigel and Trish continue the tradition of providing a homely, comfortable and friendly atmosphere whatever the weather throws at us outside. The food was truly luxurious and I fear we all...

Location ideal for serious fell walking. Hotel itself has lots of history, quirky layout, friendly hosts, boot room, cosy room for pre-dinner drinks and socialising, nice library for after-dinner coffee and brandy, superb cuisine, brilliant breakfast. S Frankingle night stay with my two middle-aged sons prior to our climbing Scafell Pike on my 72nd birthday. Far better than our original...

We come to the lakes every June for a long weekend of hill walking and have stayed in some top notch establishments along the way. This one is right up there with the best but it IS a little bit different. For a start there is a home cooked evening meal served every night at 7 pm when all the...

If you choose to stay here you have an excellent chance of seeing a red squirrel which visits the bird table outside the dining room window. That is just the added bonus of Seatoller House, with hosts Nigel and Trish working incredibly hard to make your stay enjoyable. The rooms are charming, each named after a British mammal or bird,...
