A very low range hotel that is recommended in the Morocco guidebooks by Lonely Planet and Rough Guides. The price is 60dh per person so 120dh for a double. Been there on the way to Merzouga, we reserved a room to find out, arrived in the evening, that someone else took our place! The second options was dirty, without toilette and bedsheets, while the staff mood was sort of "Take it or leave it"!!! Obviously we left.. Be aware of a small shop next to the Hotel, the guy... This hotel is very ordinary and not recommended. The room was tiny and outdated, the TV had only one blurry channel and the place was filthy. The wall decorations held a thick layer of dust and the bathroom was creepy. The pink toilet paper even made the water... pink. Midelt is a very useful stop-off between Merzouga and Fes, and we spent one night at the Atlas Hotel in April 2007. Both the Rough Guide and Lonely Planet described it as being friendly, Berber run and offering outstanding cleanliness and value.
