We booked to stay here but couldn't get there because the river was flooded. We didn't find them very helpful or good with communication. Especially given we had just spent 18 hours in a car trying to get there. The oasis of Skoura however is definitely worth visiting

A very relaxing overnight amidst the palmerie (date palm grove). Beautiful gardens, nice walks close by (head to the tallest kasbah in Morocco...just a 15 minute walk away and climb to the top). Be sure to order dinner at Dar Lokam too - the best couscous we've had yet. And breakfast was delicious too.

We recently travelled to Morocco with our two young children (2 and 7 years old) and had the pleasure of staying at Dar Lorkam. This was our favourite stay during our 2 week trip and, in retrospect, I regret not staying here longer and cutting out a couple of days elsewhere. Interesting road there, crossing the river bed and then...

After a rather long and hot journey from Marrakech through the Atlas Mountains we stayed at the wonderful Dar Lorkam. It really did feel like a little oasis after the rocky terrain of the mountains. The garden is breathtaking and so lovely to walk through to the well kept pool. The rooms are gorgeous and the food was absolutely delicious!...

While staying at a Riad in Marrakech (Riad Tchaikana - see my other review for that) I mentioned to the owners that I was thinking of renting a motorcycle and riding up into the mountains. They suggested Dar Lorkam and called ahead to secure me a room. After a long, beautiful day's ride up and over the mountains, I found...

The journey to Dar Lorkam was long and a bit stressful, over miles of unpaved roads and a very dry river-bed. But, once there, it is a treat! An oasis of calm and tranquility, which the owners clearly cherish. They have worked hard to create a beautiful garden, with a decent pool, middling wifi, and beautifully presented rooms. The food...

We stayed a night here en route to our Sahara camp. Thierry, the French owner, was friendly and served breakfast himself. This hotel/inn is isolated, so you may find it a little cut off from the hustle and bustle of Moroccan urban life, but that is precisely its strength. You are really at peace with the world here. Plus point:...

We stayed at the Dar Lorkam for one night mid October because we made an mistake with our booking for an other hotel. But after our stay we were happy about this mistake because this was a great experience. We booked one of their double rooms. When we stayed there we were the only gests. We used our navigation to...

Sadly having been let down by a booking at an alternative Kasbah in Skoura, we were taken to Dar Lorkam and we are so glad we were! Our only regret is that we arrived so late in the evening and had to leave so early the next day so we could not make the most of the relaxing gardens and...
