This is an amazingly nice and clean place. The rooms are extremely clean and well maintained. The bathroom is top class. While the rooms are basic, there is no compromise on the basics - the mattress is excellent, the beds are proper, the extra bed is also proper, the blinds are great and the table and chairs are proper and...

This is a wonderful, private boutique-sized hotel right on the banks of the Ganges in a quiet forest area outside Rishikesh - perfect for the yoga and meditation retreats and trainings we host in India each year (kookaburraretreats) as it provides a tranquil, secluded centre and easy access to the ashrams and attractions of Rishikesh. Rainforest House is comprised of...

This review should have been up sometime back. We drove down from Delhi basically to run away from the regular grind. Wife and the two kids. The place is not that difficult to find if you are following the navigation which we did. The walk down to the hotel from the highway is not for those with dodgy knees, my...

Whilst difficult to find because it is tucked away down an unmade track (so avoid arriving for the first time in the dark as we did), it is precisely because it is tucked away that makes it such a retreat. Overlooking the Ganges, the terraces offer a tranquil setting for quiet reading and meditation, close to nature and away from...

We would rate it as the best place in Rishikesh to unwind / relax, spend quality time with closed ones (family or friends) amidst nature. You have to experience to believe this & it's worth taking an extra effort of walking 500-700 mtrs to reach this exclusive house / property. We had a great time with the host (loving family)...

My wife and I chose Rainforest House as we wanted a place a little away from town and were drawn to the fact that it overlooked the Ganga. The booking process was smooth and we were given the number of Manish, the manager, who we corresponded with prior to getting there. We stayed in one of the upper level rooms...

It was a most refreshing visit to rainforest house. Here are some of the things that I enjoyed the most 1. Place is cut off from the hustle bustle of rishikesh city so it's peaceful and quiet. 2. Ample tree cover makes you feel like you are actually in a rainforest. Great experience. 3. Private stream which is calming and...

On the shores of the Ganga it has a beach close by, you can do yoga in this tranquil and beautiful place and feel at one with the universe. It is owned by a wonderful family...

We've stayed in lots of types of accommodation in India however this house has got to be one of the most relaxing and chilled out places we've been to. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The food was tasty and fresh , eaten in a lovely space which has outside and inside areas and classical Indian music gently playing....

Awesome location! perfect for a stay in the midst of nature! Only hitch is the approach road is pretty steep and one has to be very careful when it rains! Not recommended for older people and anyone with knee or back issues. Whoever can make it is rewarded by staying right next to the serene Ganga! Kids had a lovely...
