Awesome spiritual atmosphere. The one and half hours Arti gives you peace of mind. One must visit this place once in lifetime. Also the ashram is very neat and clean and i love the food and atmosphere.
I love this ashram, it is second time I have visited this year for the very good yoga and spiritual retreat meditation course. The courses are very instructive on the HATHA yoga philosophy, and teaches you all from the very base of breathing to asana,...More

Laurie here, a sevak at Parmarth Niketan Ashram, and the first person who responded to your question was pretty thorough but a couple of things I wanted to clarify. If you want a tea kettle, you can buy them inexpensively in the market. The ashram does not generally provide those. If you are registered for a yoga course, we ask that you wear white loose fitting top and pants--the top needs to cover your shoulders and the pants need to fall below your knee. You can find plenty of options in the market, again. Finally, we are often fully booked so you may not be able to request a room change, particularly to the Ganga block. Plus there are additional charges if you choose a room that's not designated for your course. We look forward to your arrival to your Himalayan home!
