If you’re looking for a calm and relaxing place to stay on Koh Chang - this is it! We stayed at paradise palms for 9 days and it was absolutely perfect. Matt and Tara are super attentive and made us feel welcome. Matt even took us on an early morning jungle hike :) The place is super peaceful with three bungalows surrounded by a big garden. The bungalows are spacious and cosy and have all you need. The resort is right at the seafront and there’s a sun Terrace and some chairs for sunbathing. The beach is rocky, so you need to be careful when going in the water. But there’s some really nice snorkeling spots. And the sunsets are amazing! Definitely recommend coming to paradise palms resort for recharging at the sea :)
We stayed 3 nights ...(thai long weekend ) ..great hosts .. Our bungalow was spotless ..fresh smelling sheets.. Sunset to die for from our baloney ..a very very welcome break after being stuck in bangkok for months with this all this carona going on .. Thanks you sooo much ..are battery's are charged We are coming back for sure !
We stayed here 5 nights and enjoyed a lot! Tara and Matt made us feel welkomed and tooked really good care of us. The place is peaceful and beatifull. Bungalows are big and clean and the fridge is huge. The beach is rocky but you can still swim and snorkle in there, just be little careful when you go to the sea. There is sunchairs were you can relax, take a nap or maybe even listen Matt’s funny stories :) Near is a 2 big markets and many restaurants. We recommend! Thanks a lot Tara and Matt! - Maiju and Nina
We spent 4 nights at Paradise Palms and we couldn’t have been more satisfied with our stay. From the moment we arrived Matt and Tara made us feel super welcomed, remaining attentive and friendly throughout our whole visit. Matt shared great stories and plenty of good advice regarding the island, he was also very helpful in arranging a motorbike for us as well as boat tickets to Koh Mak. It was such a pleasure waking up everyday to the sound of the waves and birds singing, and stepping out onto the patio to be greeted by Matt’s friendly face taking care of their beautiful yard. We really couldn’t have asked for more! Our wonderful bungalow had everything we needed (have to highlight the extra comfy king-sized bed and large bathroom!), and the resort itself is located near several restaurants and grocery shops, however, has managed to maintain the island’s natural beauty and a secluded feeling. We also loved swimming here and weren’t bother by the rocks at all. Just take care getting in and out of the water, as some of the rocks on the shore were slippery. The place is very down to earth and has a wonderfully chill atmosphere to it. We really did not want to leave. Stay here if you are looking for something authentic, clean, and calm - and to top it off, right by the sea! I would be amazed if someone could not relax here. Thank you Matt & Tara for having us, we’ll definitely be back!…
We discovered this place by chance and are really pleased we did! Tara and Matt made us feel so welcome and it was a joy to wake up to the sound of the sea every day. Our two young boys loved bringing their breakfast down to the seating mats by the sea in the morning, listening to the mina birds and spotting beetles. We visited at a time when Koh Chang was at its most hectic, but felt immediately calm once we were back at Paradise Palms. It is quiet, but a few minutes walk (taking you past a lovely Thai restaurant and a great vegetarian cafe too) to the main songthaw route. We wish we could've stayed longer and are sad to have missed the camp fire on New Year's eve. We hope to visit again soon. Thanks to Matt and Tara and to their daughter for doing our laundry!
We stayed 6 nights at paradise palms ,super quite ,relaxing ,we bathed every morning ,directly from the bungalow ,only 3 bungalows and family run .. Clean and spacious bungalows fresh sheets . Well recommend .
Staying at Paradise Palms was a wonderful experience. Especially as Matt went out of his way to make my stay enjoyable. The bungalows are roomy and clean, bed is very comfortable. All you hear is the waves, birds and the occacional gecko. He booked my tours for me, always had time for a chat or at beer at sunset. I felt very welcome and cared for during my stay and I wish I could have stayed longer. As the beach is stony it is definately necessary to wear some shoes, it will making getting into the water much easier.
This is our 3rd time to visit Matt and Tara over an 8 year period. The recipe and ingredients are constant. Sun, sea and good company. Matt and Tara are so helpful and down to earth. They make your stay welcome and fulfill any need where possible. At its best, its a place to chill, stare out to sea and enjoy each sunset, enjoy a beer and restore the mind and body. We visited Penny's next door for dinner at least 5-6 times during our stay. Typical and good Thai food at a fair local price. The service is great and the taste is of Thailand. Thanks Matt & Tara for welcoming us back.
Natural, friendly, clean rooms, perfect location Matt helped us with amazing fishing tour.he will help you in any way he can, supermarkets and restaurant are nearby, highly recommend this hidden paradise in Koh Chang
An owner with serious attitude problem and bad karma, as far as we could get away from the good vibrations of thailand. this is our 7th trip. we have not experienced anything like it. the bungalows are waterfront, but no beach near by and swiming was nearly impossible. omg
