Had 5 nights here in late Jan 2023, had a room virtually at the back of the hotel (luckily) on the ground floor. A decent location, but not close to the beach at all. My room had a bad ant problem, using ant spray a few times a day helped to kill them. The cleaning staff didn't seem surprised at all The hotel was fairly quiet, until 8:30pm when the bar right next to the hotel on the right as you look at it from the road started playing loud music, until 12:30am every night. My room was at the back luckily, it would be a lot louder the closer your room is to the front. Cleaning is upon request, rather than the normal everyday cleaning you get in virtually all hotels. I wouldn't stay here again, there was nothing that impressed me or made me want to come back & stay again

Alina Hotel is a wonderful hotel. The staff are all super friendly and attentive. They were very accommodating and did everything they could to make our stay most pleasant. The rooms are very clean and spacious and great for families. The pool was also very good. There is a convenience shop in the lobby with snacks, drink and other products. There is off street parking also available. The motorbike rentals directly from the hotel were less expensive than other rental shops near by. We look forward to returning in the future.

Our stay was cut short because this hotel was not what we expected. First the positives. The rooms were big. The pool area had sun on it most if not all of the day so if you are a sun worshipper this is perfect for you. If you are looking for somewhere with hardly any children also a perfect spot. Buffett breakfast at Dutalay over the road at 150 baht was good value for money. Cocktails next door for 100 baht were very good! They blew my mums head off haha! Now to the negatives. Very bad WiFi could only get connected down in reception. There was no lift. We were on the third floor. I was travelling with my parents who struggled and actually I found it hard in the heat to walk up the stairs too! No beach at that end of white sand beach. No bars on the beach because there is no beach! We thought this was more of a youth hostel type of a hotel and it was very expensive for what it was. I was actually ready to leave after the first night. We did move to another hotel further down the road for cheaper on the beach with a pool which also included breakfast. It just depends on your own personal preference.

I stayed in a small chalet for one night. The beach right in front of the Alina is not a great beach but for a quick dip, it's not bad either. The Alina is located right in the centre of the main street, about a 100 meters from the food night market. This was why I chose the Alina when I drove through the town. It was a Saturday night so I don't know whether the food market is every night or just on weekends, but I'd assume every night. The hotel is a bit worn but works fine. Would not want to spend an entire holiday there.

We stayed at this hotel on our previous trip to Koh Chang over seven years ago. We came back for a quick visit to reminisce and see what’s changed in that time. The answer is nothing, literally nothing. Upon arriving, we were given the choice of a room across the street at Alina Resort or in the main hotel Alina Grande. We checked out the room on the resort side, and it was terrible - small, cramped, musty, with a horrible smell, like mold and dirty laundry. So, we went back to the main hotel and got a much more spacious and cleaner room, at a discounted rate. The room was very basic. It had a fridge, but no safe, so we had to carry our valuables around with us, as the hotel takes no responsibility for anything lost or stolen from your room. They advertise this openly near the front desk and in the room. The air conditioner was good. The Tv was easily over 20 years old. The sheets had several holes and stains on them, very gross. The “blanket” was made of towels that had been sewn together and sandwiched between two sheets. I also found a few small bugs crawling around under the blanket so I inspected the rest of the bed carefully, and I did not sleep well worrying that bed bugs were biting me. The bathroom also flooded slightly when we took showers. Our toilet also gurgled when anyone above us flushed theirs. Overall, the hotel needs a serious upgrade, new sheets and blankets, a fresh coat of paint, and new TVs for starters. Alina is more like a hostel than a hotel. It’s a cheap flop and drop for backpackers, but not somewhere to stay long term. I will not be returning.

We stayed here because our friends stayed there. Otherwise we would have not chosen it I guess - at least not after seeing it on location. First we got a room on the beach side, it was horrible, rather small (which is ok) dirty, worn down, smelly. They moved us to the main building to another room which was bigger and a bit cleaner but the shower had no pressure at all. The staff was friendly and tried their best (I hope so) to fix it but no success. So they moved us again to another room even bigger now and shower ok, it first smelled bad in the bathroom but after some flushing it was ok. If you dont have high expectations, are just staying for a couple of nights and need a cheap place then its ok. Pool is cold and small. No breakfast available.

Having been forced out of a fairly swanky resort - by my budget, not the hotel, I hasten to add - I must admit I didn't get my hopes up too much before checking in. However, I was pleasantly surprised. The room (for 4 people, the only one available) was spacious and clean. There was a big fridge and a big wardrobe, and a decent-sized balcony with an oblique sea-view. Strangely enough, there was only seating for 2 people on the balcony, but that didn't worry us. The pool was a good size with enough sunloungers and pool towels were provided. There was a small cafe selling drinks and snacks by the pool, as well as a minimart in the hotel. The beach is over the road - 2 minutes walk, and on this same road you'll find shops, restaurants, travel agents etc. There wasn't a kettle in the room but if you ask at reception they'll give you one. I'm not sure how many they have though, so it might be a case of first come first served. The only thing I didn't like was the lack of a safe in the room.

A clean and friendly hotel a stones' throw from the beach and at 1,000 THB a night - a bargain! The beach is superb here. The pool at the hotel was OK, but had some missing tiles. I'd miss the breakfast package and just nip next door to 'Monkey's' - they do a great breakfast.
