Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Nice hotel, but: we had bedbugs in our room, I was full of bite marks. The staff did a search and we got to change to another room. At the same day I noticed there was already next customers in our first room?! I hope the staff sprayed the room well after we left. The second room was fine without bedbugs, but the aircon didn't work so well. If the sea water is high, you can hear the waves hitting "stairs" outside at night if you get room right next to beach. The pool area is small and all the sunbeds were reserved before breakfast with towels, books etc but luckily the beach is near. :)

Located at the southern end of White Sands beach. The beachfront is rocky but a path has been cleared of rocks to allow access to the sandy bottom beyond. For the start of the sand only beach you only have to walk along for about 50 metres. Reception staff were friendly and cheerful. We had booked triple rooms for 5 nights due to late booking. I assume double rooms are an option. The buildings are aged but fairly well maintained. The room was clean with one of the most comfortable beds I've slept in around Thailand. Eveything worked just fine. The cleaning ladies were doing their thing on a daily basis. The breakfast was adequate. Juices, coffee, toast, fried eggs, omelet, hotdogs, thai dishes more than enough fuel for day's activity. Anyone who is critical of breakfast is just a whinger IMHO. Our group came together one day for lunch at the restaurant. No complaints from any group member about the food. I did not use the swimming pool as I'm a beach person. It did look well maintained with a number of sunloungers and deck chairs provided. To the reviewer who compared Banpu with Kacha I say they are incomparable. Why? Well the Banpu property has been established a lot longer than Kacha. Plus Kacha is not a beachfront property and their rooms, albeit more modern looking are at the same time a lot more expensive. Overall, I found Banpu good value for money and I enjoyed my stay here.

Restaurant had good cheese pizza (tho seems all the pizzas on the island look the same) and large portions of fried rice and pineapple fried rice. It’s situated within some nice greenery and a garden which gives it a nice atmosphere. Staff were quite quick and efficient. We would go back

The place is very well manage. All the employee do their part to maintain the best out of the hotel. Everywhere you go is cozy... morning, afternoon and night you name it. Location is also very good, restaurants, shops, supermarket etc. There are only pros no cons 😊

This resort is amazing. The vibe is very tropical, living in a small wooden house. It has a balcony aswell, looking over the ocean. The swimming pool is right next to the see, with the most amazing view. There is swings looking out to the see, hanging in the big trees on the beach. With plants, and trees around you in the resort, birds everywhere. Very tranquil!! The breakfast buffet they offer is nice. Good amount of variety, and you can have your eggs freshly made by a chef. The milkshakes they have is very good and big ( try it ). Staff is friendly and helpful. Would definitely come back when I visit Thailand again. Highly recommend this place.

It is two years since I stayed here. The place is still as lovely with a real Thai feel about it. The rooms are excellent with a private balcony, and the prices are extraordinarily low. Breakfast is OK; air con works well, cleaning is thorough and done before 10.00am, I like that so you can reclaim your room. The beach is disappointing for some as there is a rock section immediately in front of the resort, but this quickly disappears. The pool is OK, and loungers are facing the pool and the beach. I will come back here as it is excellent value, friendly staff and it is a pretty nice place to stay.

The location of the hotel was ok. But the beach was full of stones and rocks. If you wanted to take a swim in the morning, when the water was high, you had to be avare. Staff was ok. Breakfast basic, but several good restaurants close by. The rooms was really dark, and not mosquito safe. But beds had mosquito nets. WiFi did not work very good.

I stopped here for one week in seafront bungalow no 103. It's the worst seafront room due to the situation between the pool and massage stand. If you can choice ask for those apart from the pool. Even though it was an extraordinary place to chillout by the sea. Interior was super clean and was cleaning daily. The super friendly stuff build different figure from the clean towels on the bed. It was a nice everyday surprise. The room is big enough and has my first quiet and working air-conditioner :) On the front of the bungalow is a small piece of sand and stony seaboard. Fortunately a few meters jumping over the stones starts extraordinary white sand beach. On the opposite you can find great Thai see/chicken food restaurants. I recommend this place if you require kind of touristic, European standard by the seafront.
