I stayed in this hotel for a week in February for skiing and the hotel is only a mins walk to the bus stop that drops you close to the ski lift. The bus is a necessary as it's a long steep hill to the ski lift and if you have ski boots with you this walk is almost impossible....

My small single room was basic, clean, and comfortable with my own balcony. Bathroom small but, like everything here, not luxurious but perfectly adequate. But also you are not staying in a sterile, corporate environment but a family run place that has character and charm (built 1905 I think). The ski buses stop immediately outside when you return from the...

Travelling with my adult daughter we arrived on 25th January for our skiing trip. On arrival we were given our room key and shown where the bar, restaurant and toilets were by a brusque but efficient gentleman behind the counter. He turned out to be the owner and we were later to find out he could be friendly and was...

We were placed here after our car broke down by our recovery firm. The staff were very helpful and liaised with the garage and car rental firms for us. Made an unplanned stop pleasant. Our room on the fifth floor had amazing views of the town and mountains and the dated decor added to the atmosphere of old world Austria.

An old-fashioned hotel. Classic style interior. Nice personnel. Clean rooms. Food ok. Smoke-filled bar. Not very common any more. If you are a smoker-this is the place for you! Nice view from balcony. Close to ski buses. A 15 minute walk in steep terrain to the ski lift system.

The Mozart is a classic style older hotel, our room was a bit jaded but the public areas and other parts of the hotel were well maintained. The hotel is located near the edge of town, but only a 5 minute or so walk to the centre. The ski bus stops right outside the door and only takes 5 minutes...

The hotel is 100 years old. The hotel surely had some glorious past. Now it is still fine and looks a little nostalgic. Its location is right at the ski bus stops, which makes it very convenient. There are other hotels closer to the main lift, but they are further from the bus stops. The food is fine on some...

The Mozart is a rather big a bit worn down rustic hotel. The rooms vary but are quite OK, clean and relatively spatious with balconies and inviting bathrooms. Hotel service is friendly but varying depending on the individual employees. Breakfast buffet was good but dinner nothing special and hardly OK. There is a charge for WiFi-access. The location is close...

Hotel Mozart was everything we expected. Nice, clean and friendly. Dinner was included, as was the breakfast too. Better be careful, dinner had some sausages that were so greasy. Could not eat them. :) Over all, the hotel is recommeded by me, would stay again. Almost forgot, beds were wonderful, tha blankets and pillows were huge and puffy.

I stayed at the Mozart during the Easter break 2012 for three nights for a bit of skiing. It is on the side of the town but that doesn't matter because Bad Gastein is not very big and the centre is a 10 minute walk away. That way you can get to know a very beautiful town. The mountain views...
