We truly enjoyed staying at this neat and clean B&B located right in the heart of the D-Day beaches. The remnants of Cold Beach’s artificial harbor visible from our bedroom window provided a tangible reminder of the magnitude and complexity of D-Day’s history-changing endeavor. The location also scored high on the walkability factor, with the Musee du Debarquement and the... More

Within an hour of making our booking at Arroplace, I received a detailed e-mail confirming our booking and providing a raft of useful information, including instructions on how to find the private parking area (which turned out to be very easy to find!). The B&B is situated right on the sea front at Arromanches and our room overlooked the sea.... More

First, Jacques is as friendly and helpful as every other reviewer has claimed. We arrived and had the slightest bit of difficulty finding the place, although it is exactly where you see it on google maps (just not obvious from the street once you're there). Head inside and Jacques will help you with parking, which is literally outside the window... More

We were greeted by Jacques who gave us a very warm welcome. Our double room was lovely, had a great sea view, the room was clean and well maintained. Coffee and tea making facilities in the room, a TV, plenty of wardrobe and bathroom space. The bed was comfortable, we had a lovely night sleep and the sound of the... More

We had an awesome stay. Great place to be a home base to explore Normandy. Jacques (owner) was very accommodating and made our stay wonderful. Room is very simple (no TV, etc.), very clean and nice. Room looked east toward the water and hillside. The town gets very quiet in the evening after the tour busses are gone. Bakery and... More

Stayed at Arroplace for three nights and used Arromanches as our base to see the D-Day sites, Bayeux tapestry and cathedral. Jacque the owner was very welcoming and helpful. We had a double room for three of us that had a nice view of the mulberry harbor and channel. The B&B was in a perfect location near the heart of... More

Jacques is a welcoming and very helpful host. We had a pleasant if simply furnished room with a partial view of the Mulberries, and a roomy bathroom with a separate toilet. Tea and coffee making, hairdryer, free wifi. No TV, which was fine for us. Excellent position on the main square, opposite the D-Day Landings museum, near a wide range... More

This quaint friendly business sits right on the centre square looking out across the channel. We were visiting the D Day landing sites for business purposes, this was an ideal place sitting right in the middle and being 30 - 40 minute drive from all of the iconic sites. Its not the Hilton but it has all the amenities, the... More

We stayed at Arroplace for one night on a cycling tour of Normandy. We had a very long, wet ride that day and Jacques was wonderful. He had a garage where we put our bikes and the view from the room of the beach was amazing. You could buy breakfast from him or get croissants etc and eat them in... More

Un grand mercie à Jacques, a perfect host! We were staying at Arrowplace in 2013....sorry, a bit late with our review;) Imagine waking up at the sound of waves crushings against the Atlantic Wall...right beneath your bedroomwindow. Location, location, location where it is all about! Buy your own lovely petit dejeuner around the corner, Jacques has a fridge downstairs where... More
