Welcome to Normandy ! Situated on the Normandy landing beaches, along the road to Deauville and St Michel Mountain, the Arromanches Villas are located just 8km from the town of Bayeux, and 18km from the American war cemetery in Colleville sur Mer. The hotel’s beautiful stone, and XIX century half-timbered buildings are nestled in the middle of a small wooded area. Its calm environment invites you for a mini-break or short holiday in one of its comfortable rooms. Everything here is built with your comfort in mind: with attentive service, and a friendly welcome. The hotel’s brilliant location, just 200 metres from Arromanches beach, and a few minutes walk from the town centre, means that all the local attractions, such as the landing museum and the coastal walking paths are all easily accessible. Or why not just take a nice dip in the sea ?

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Very poor, terrible experience, we booked fir 3 nights but left after 1 night, this hotel needs to improve a lot on everything when having a 4 star rating! Bad customer service, smells, noisy and small rooms need to be renovated, fly’s in sink and I will stop with my feedback now.

Up-to-date rooms in a vintage Normandy manor. Rain kept us from sitting outside on the communal patio or our room’s private terrace. So we enjoyed drinks two evenings in the cozy lounge bar. Be sure to try the older Calvados! The optional breakfast buffet is generous, open until 10:30, and designed to be enjoyed at your own pace. All the staff was friendly and helpful. Just a few minutes walk downhill into town for restaurants, shopping, and museums. The Harbor Museum right in town is being expanded (as of Oct 2023). The 360 Museum, atop the hill opposite the hotel is about a 15-20 minute walk with the final part steeply uphill. We did it, but you may want to drive. If you do, set your GPS for Memorial Royal Engineers, which is the public memorial and overlook *with parking* immediately adjacent to the 360 Museum/movie, which has almost no parking and is accessed only on narrow roads. Overall, Hotel Les Villas is an ideal central location for your visit to the greater Normandy region or the D-Day beaches. A scenic half-hour drive through small coastal towns to Omaha Beach (you must go) and about the same time inland to Bayeux, home of the 1000-year-old tapestry/embroidery telling the story of the Norman Conquest of England in 1066 (you must go). After two successive nights in Air B-and-B’s in Rouen and Honfleur, it was a highlight of our week in Normandy to spend two nights at the wonderful Les Villas d’Arromanches.

Beautiful chateau in Arromanches, 5-10 minute stroll to the beach and village. Well appointed rooms, friendly staff, fantastic breakfast, free and plentiful parking, albeit sometimes under the trees. There’s also an outdoor pool area which we didn’t sample as autumn was fast setting in. A very comfortable bar, perfect for an aperatif or dígestif as, unfortunately, they don’t serve dinner. Our room was at the top of the original house up a spiral staircase so if that’s an issue, let them know. As a base to explore the Normandy beaches and nearby Bayeux it can’t be bested. We stayed five nights and ranged up and down the coast every day. After a long day’s sightseeing, it was a relief to return for a verre de Vin blanc or a kir. Good value too for what we got. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

Too expensive for what it offers: small room, tv has no English speaking channel … I had to insist for 3 days to have additional water, breakfast buffet is expensive and offers little choice of non carbohydrate. No veggies, little fruit …

Initial allocation of room was not practical with a dog. The room was too small with no place to put the dog bed. The room was at the very top of the hotel which would make it more difficult in the night if needed if the dog needed to go out When this was discussed with the staff an alternative was found for the three nights which we were grateful for. The staff appreciated our concerns

Stayed here on our tour of the area. Hotel is easy to find perched on the hill. It’s a medium size. As we got here parking is a free for all and not well suited for a low car - I had to park in the trees ! Sleep quality was compromised on the heat level - with no air con. The breakfast was ok to be fair. Overall ok

Lovely place, great room with country and sea views. Fresh and very french breakfast. Small but warm swimming pool, the gardens and terrace are perfect to sit out with a drink on a summer evening, really helpful staff....would strongly recommend. J .

We enjoyed our stay at this clean, updated accommodation with a view of Port Winston and the English Channel. The room was spacious for our family of 3, tho it was hard to sleep on a warm summer night without AC. The hotel is set in a serene, park like setting, quiet from cars. We skipped the hotel breakfast and instead walked into town to a cute boulangerie. We're sorry we didn't have time to try the swimming pool. We did enjoy a kir Normand for a nightcap one evening. The staff member was friendly and accommodating.

Beautiful hotel with lots of charm, friendly and professional staff. The property was recently completely renovated: rooms and breakfast room are modern and nicely appointed with nice view of the sea out the windows. Breakfast selections are very nice. Grounds are nice as well with comfortable seatings and even a small heated pool. Would highly recommend staying there.
