Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Where to start, the tiny bedroom and bathroom, the 2 flights of stairs, the parking that doesn't really exist, the grumpy staff, the rip off breakfast,. 12 euros for, baguette, cheese, ham and coffee. If you got down late there was nothing left and was not topped up. Location however is great. Suspect the hotel trades on its historic interest

Unfortunately the hotel is very tired and dated.I would definitely not recommend it to the larger or less agile visitor. The staircase is very narrow and twisting. The room was a good size and the beds were comfortable, having said that the ensuite had no ventilation and could be rather wiffy! The toilet seat was loose and the grouting could have done with a little attention. The TV didn,t work. Permanent smell of fish Breakfast was adequate. Be aware, you will have to lug your suitcase from one of the carparks .Despite my review it is still a great location to be.

We stayed here for one night before getting the ferry back from Caen. It’s nothing special but the staff were friendly and the room was clean and comfortable. It’s a great base from which to explore the many brilliant D Day museums and there is a free car park in the town a 5 minute walk away. I appreciate not every parent would be happy doing this, but it was great that there is only one way in and out of the hotel and the baby monitor worked from the little restaurant down stairs (although the menu is a little limited) so we were able to have an evening meal which can be tricky with little ones. We had room 3 which also had a lovely sea view.

Hotel is Modern, friendly, perfectly located, super quiet and inexpensive. Wonderful restaurant too. Staff went out of their way to assist us. The main D-Day museum is across the street. Free parking easy to find one block away.

We stayed in Arromaches for a couple of nights and on the second evening dined at Hotel D'Arromanches. I just had the chicken salad but it was superb. The staff were very nice, pleasant and helpful. A lovely clean restaurant and totally recommended

The hosts were warm and welcoming, and made an extra effort to make sure we were comfortable. The fish and chips and the quinoa salad were just right, and it was a wonderful respite in the midst of a busy day of seeing sights.

We stopped in here for lunch while on a tour of Normandy. I'm glad we did it's a lovely place. Even I could order and I don't speak a word of French. The fish was perfect and the chips were tasty and it was a good size piece of cod. So if you're in the area and you don't know where to eat my suggestion is here you won't be disappointed

One needs to understand that this hotel is a historical building and that some rooms are quirky and some have fantastic views. The restaurant has an extensive menu with a welcoming staff. Reception was gracious and kind to help us with an unexpected illness in the family. We appreciate the hospitality that we were shown during our stay. Highly recommend this hotel.
