Whether you come to Guingamp on a touristic or business trip. Put your bags down at the charming and comfortable hotel La Demeure. In the heart of the town Guingamp, facing the ramparts, dates back to XVIII century, savour the refined atmosphere and warm hospitality that reign in La Demeure. The peaceful rooms are furnished in an individual style and a welle equiped bathroom with shower or bath. The conservatory breakfast room is bright and cheerful and look out into the garden. We have also an elegant lounge with a lot of map and documents about the area. No bar or restaurant but plenty to choose from in the vicinity. La Demeure is an ideal place for a relaxing holiday, jagged coastline where the ARGOAT ("Land of the woods") meets the ARMOR ("Land of the sea"). In Guingamp, market day is Friday and Saturday.

A LOVELY HIDDEN GEM We booked 2 rooms for myself and then one for my son and his girlfriend. We all loved the hotel and it was all furnished lovely. The owner could not have been better as nothing was too much trouble and she even waited for us to arrive as we were late arriving. We choose to enjoy the breakfast and everything was freshly baked and nicely presented. Absolutely loved our stay and although we were booked in for 1 night as a stop over we added on another night. We will return as loved the hospitality and the hotel. A real credit to you.

Ahh we loved our stay here! Our room and bathroom were massive with multiple balconies. The sunset was beautiful from the balcony, we has a special feeling like we were living here, not just staying one night. The bath and bed were massive! The breakfast was great and we loved the hotel grounds. Would highly recommend it!!

We spent one night each at the beginning and at the end of our cycle tour in Brittany. This charming hotel has some of the greatest staff we have ever experienced. They gladly held our heavy luggage while we were gone for four nights, delivered our bags to our room on the third floor before we returned. Most restaurants in Guingamp were closed or fully booked on Sunday night. Thus, we went to the grocery store nearby which stays open until 10:00 PM. We stocked up on salads, cheese, pates, bread, and wine. We enjoyed the libations in the hotel's spectacular garden. Our room was spacious, clean, and quiet. I will return to La Demeure when travels bring me back to Guingamp.

From outside this tiny place looks like a traditional breton house but once inside one will discover almost an art museum perfectly integrated with the classic style pf the structure. In fact inside everything is modern and ecleptic with a very good fusion of colors and paintings. The family who's taking care of this place will hug you with plenty of attention and the environment we can breath is a real familiar one. Honestly, even if you are in the middle of nowhere geographically speaking here you'll feel at home and very welcomed. The food is gorgeous and home made, the environment is cleaned, relaxed and funtcional, what should we ask more??? I really thank you the family for this great experience and If I'll be in the area again I'll definitely go back! Thank you and,,, very good job! …

We loved this beautiful 18th century house and we appreciated the warm welcome. Entering our room was like stepping into an opera by Mozart. It was an excellent value at 95€ for our big room with one window facing the garden, another opening onto a terrace with table and chairs. We also liked the excellent breakfast buffet at 10€. We noticed that La Demeure has many repeat customers, and it’s no wonder. The proprietor was very helpful with suggestions on interesting places to visit near Guingamp.

We broke our journey in Guingamp, and I am so pleased we did, as we found this gem of a hotel. The comfortable room in the very stylish new part was spacious, as was the bathroom, and very clean. Breakfast was wonderful - homemade pasteries and breads, and the old part of the house was like a beautifully period set. Downstairs the building housed a coffee shop - full of customers when we got there, and the owner promotes healthy and delicious vegetarian foods. Not a vegetarian myself, but the with the variety and flavours, I didn't feel at all deprived, Although my husband would like to have seen a carnivore option. We shall go back.

I loved everything about this hotel, from the family atmosphere, the exquisite food, the beautiful and spacious room and most importantly, the kindness of the host... It is out of this world, I would highly recommend it.

We have nothing but wonderful things to say about this place. The room large, bed comfortable, the décor eclectic/shabby chic, and the breakfast delicious with local products and homemade breads. The hot chocolate was thick and creamy. The best thing, however, was Carinne and her father, who gave us a warm welcome and wonderful information about the area. Carinne brought tea and muffins to our room after showing us around the hotel and tea shop. It is obvious this is their home and they are proud of it and the area. La Demeure is located in the heart of Guingamp, but free parking on the street was never a problem. The only issue was the wi-fi. It was weak in the room even though the router was immediately outside our door. The thick walls must the be problem. The wi-fi in the reception/living room worked great, however, so that took care of the problem. Thanks, Carinne, for a wonderful stay, although too short, at La Demeure and in Brittany.…

Our stay at "La Demeure" was out of this world. We did not expect to be received so warmly. We did not expect to have a huge room with great art work and tastefully decorated with a charming view of the garden. We did not expect to meet the owner Carinne who turned out to be a delighful person. She was an terrific hostess and an exceptional tour guide. It was a real jewel.merci, Carinne!
