Everything about this place is just WOW. This hotel was THE BEST experience I have ever had with any hotel stay in my life. The owner and the staff are so awesome. They treat you like a king. The free breakfast is so amazing that I will pay 20 euros just for that. The hotel is located on a hill just 5 min away from town. You can watch awesome sunset while sitting on the cushy furniture right outside their hotel while sipping your favorite cocktail. I agree with another reviewer that if it was possible to give 100 stars on Tripadvisor, I will give them. After my stay here, I have recommended this hotel to every tourist who asked for suggestions while my time in Greece. -Manoj D.

Simply great! It was our first time in Naxos although our daughter and her husband have a house on the nearby small island of Antiparos, which we have been visiting very often over the past years. The hotel is located conveniently near - in fact within easy walking distance from - the harbour and Naxos Χώρα (the old town). Yet far enough to provide a peaceful night’s rest, far from the hubbub of the more mondaine Naxos’s nightlife. Outstanding rooms soberly decorated but fully equipped with all modern amenities, perfect AC and super comfortable bedding. TIP: we do strongly recommend going for one of the ‘sea view’ rooms with large balcony if available because the view on the Aegean and Apollo’s Temple (Portara) is simply breathtaking at any time but especially at sunset. Prices include breakfast and believe us: this is something out of this world and definitely the most fantastic experience you shall ever have in an hotel in Greece! The breakfast buffet not only offers the more ‘current’ breakfast ingredients but also an almost endless panoply of freshly homemade pies (both savoury and sweet, many still warm from the oven). But what is the most amazing and absolutely endearing about this place is the exceptional friendliness and warmth of your hosts (both the owners and the members of the team). Guests at the Grotta hotel are cared for and made to feel so very welcome, it’s like you are part of the family. It’s as if they anticipate your every wish or need. We stayed three nights and were very sorry to have to leave (albeit to return to Antiparos…). We definitely plan to return if at all possible ! Our very VERY warm thanks to everyone (Nikoletta, Marine (who is half-French) , Despina and the sweet young Maria) for making our first visit to Naxos such a great experience!

From the minute we walked through the doors everyone made us feel so welcome! There was always someone to answer questions, provide recommendations or just say hello. The breakfast truly is amazing and we always had a snack left in our room while we were out. Highly recommend Hotel Grotta. Simply incredible service!!

Hotel Grotta is the best! Stayed there during July of 2021 and although COVID cases were not high, the team of women running this place were TOP notch!!! They are kind, compassionate and cleaning all the time. The room was impeccably clean and the breakfast was amazing. If you are looking to be in a central location - walking distance to the port and all the shops - pick this place! Also, the air conditioning and WiFi worked very well.

Incredible value. The rooms are superb for the price. And the people running it really are as friendly as people say. The breakfast is lovely. The view amazing. The only constructive comments I might give is that you should be aware it is a walk to town and the majority of restaurants/bars. And it's not completely ideal as a walk at night. The other thing is that they arranged a private tour for us - and that was amazing of them as it was so last minute so I don't want to be ungrateful- but the guide we got wasn't great with kids. So I wouldn't do arrange a tour through them if you have a family but instead I would rent a car and do it yourself.
