Kalergis Studios is a luxury accommodation by the sea, at Saint George Beach in Naxos town. It's a typical example of cycladic architecture with pure lines and the best sea view in Naxos island. The wonderful garden, the balconies and verandas with sea view and our lounge cafe bar "Vammos" is the ideal place for relaxation and romance. The accommodation consists of 18 fully-furnished studios, all decorated with high quality and taste. The studios are spacious, all of them looking to the beach and they accommodate 1 to 4 persons. Self catering facilities are provided (fully equipped kitchenette with utensils and refrigerator). All of them have private balcony or veranda and they enjoy a breathtaking view of the sandy beach. All our studios offer: air conditioning, private verandas or balconies, satellite TV, safe box, fully equipped kitchenette with cooking facilities, hair dryer, daily maid service, free WiFi. At our beach bar "Vammos", located just on the beach, you may enjoy refreshing drinks, juices, cold coffee and fanciful cocktails that will cool you down in the heat of the summer and will keep you in high spirits as well as many umbrellas, deck chairs and other facilities for sunbathing.

This was our second year staying at Kalergis for myself, my husband and our young daughter and we loved it again! Soazik was wonderful, as were all the people working there, who made our stay dream. Thank you Studios Kalergis.

The studios are literally ON the beach (which is a great beach by the way). And the studios inside are very well equiped and furnished, carefully cleaned, always happy to provide extra service such as extra bed for young children, more pillows. They even tried to find a baby stroller when ours broke down.... ! Excellent choice to go to !!!!!

We have just spent 10 wonderful nights in Kalergis Studios. We leave later today with a heavy heart and only wish we could stay longer. The room was lovely with an expansive balcony overlooking St. George's Beach out to sea.

The kitchen could have been designed better with some space for preparing food. As it currently stands there is only a hob and sink with no work top space. It would also be great to have a pan and brush in the studio so we could sweep over the floor and balcony on Sunday's when staff do not attend the rooms. However apart from these we could not have asked for more.

I want to especially mention the receptionist Soazik who was totally amazing even chasing down a top I left in the taxi from the airport. She was so helpful, informative and kind to us, we truly appreciated it.

Until the next time, efcharistó

Mark

We were welcomed by everyone! This was our third stay at Kalergis. It is RIGHT on the beach and that's why is a favorite to my kids (4 and 9). You can't go wrong with the beach as is protected and shallow as it can be. Also very close to the Chora. You also can walk along the beach and find several beach bars and restaurants to have fresh food. At night, kids can run around while we were sipping some drinks at Vammos. The folks and manager at Vammos were so gracious with my small Nicholas who loved to hang out by the bar with the big people.
This time we got a family room, it is two rooms interconnected...so each one got a bathroom and each kid had a large twin bed that were put together make it a big queen. We had a king bed in the other room and a balcony overlooking the beach.
The housekeeper clean our room every day, hot water is no problem and the wifi works perfectly.
A great perk is the 10 euro laundry service (including folding) for the same day! Best of all, everything is walking distance from here. Supermarket, groceries, chora, multiple restaurants to choose from.
Sure it does not include beach towels, but few years back we bought couple and we had no problem bringing them. Also the Turkish towels are now a great option to avoid the bulky ones.
This is the atmosphere we always like...relax, if we need anything, they are there to help. We didn't need a covid test to return home (we were going to stop in another place before return home), but they also inform us if we needed arrangement for that, they could do it for us.
A plus for me, is the Latin American music at the bar...as I am originally from there. Love it.

Way overpriced. The hotel is very basic, No breakfast, No beach towels, one fitted sheet on the bed, no regular sheet, just a blanket, rooms are small and outdated. Bathroom small and very out dates, rusty fixtures. Additionally is seems you can ‘t close the door shutters (maybe rust?) and keep the room dark when the sun comes up. I initially chose this based in proximity but upon arriving there were hotels just a few minutes further up that were also on the beach but had newer/cleaner rooms (met people staying in other hotels and saw) better bathrooms, a pool, beach towels provided, and breakfast included. The kicker is they paid nearly half if what I was charged by this hotel. I wanted to switch hotels but already paid so much and it was non refundable and had no choice but to stay. I feel I got duped by the online reviews. Please look at Alkyoni Hotel, Astir if Naxos, Princess if Naxos which are not to far, a 2 min walk from the same beach, half the price and much much nicer. Alternatively can check out hotels a bit farther out (Imperial Naxos is very nice/half the price). You will need a car here—the cost of a daily rental and hotel room will still be cheaper than a night at this hotel. This place to me was like a “glorified” hostel.

Response from Λουκία Βαρθαλίτου, Ιδιοκτήτης at Kalergis Studios
Responded 1 Jul 2021
We really feel the need to reply to a critic made by a customer of Studios Kalergis. Since 1987 (year of starting our business) any critic was welcomed and appreciated as a mean to keep improving our services. Therefore we are welcoming any critic on the base of its truthfulness and fairness. • No breakfast: It is of high importance to clarify the difference between studios and hotels, something that people who travel a lot know as given. Briefly, the main difference is that studios offer their customers the ability to make their own breakfast and meals due to the fact that they are equipped with a kitchen. Hotels on the contrary, offer ready meals every morning on a specific timetable or room services. • One fitted sheet on the bed: This is called a runner and it is decorative. Above the runner there is a basket with the towels and below there is a folded sheet • Bathroom: Our bathrooms are exactly as shown in the photos of our website. Maybe a little old-fashioned, but very clean and not small . • the door shutters: In the Cyclades islands there are very strong winds. That is why shutters have a safety mechanism. It is easy for someone to see it, and if not , there is a reception where they can ask for help . We never received any complain from you regarding any damage. Therefore, we are wondering why you never came directly to us to address your problems but instead you decided to proceed to an on line complain while you were actually staying in our studio. • a pool: The sea is located just below the rooms, it is very clean and easy to swim. Why would anyone prefer to swim in chlorinated water? Furthermore we never said we provide a pool. • Overpriced: The renowned Guardian newspaper in its online edition by Joanne O’Connor, has made an attribute to Saint George Beach and especially to Studios Kalergis. In more details, he suggest that Saint George Beach, in his own words, is one of the 10 best beaches in Europe for families as well as one of the 50 best beaches in the world and also refers to Studios Kalergis as an accommodation of an average price regarding its rooms. • already paid so much and it was non refundable: According to our cancellation policy in 2021 we do not have non refundable reservations because we know that due to the covid19 our customers might not be able to travel… How did you already pay? Again we are wondering why you didn’t request a cancelation if you felt that unsatisfied. • Last but not least. Don’t you have any positive comment ? Not even about the fact that when you were ready to loose your ferry , we transferred you with our own private car to the port? We are very sorry our kind gestures and welcoming atmosphere wasn’t appreciated. This kind of sharp critic based on an unfriendly attitude, is an incident we are rarely faced with. We are always eager to provide any help to our customers to secure their pleasant stay. We highly appreciate it when our costumers allow us to serve them the best way we can and help us to improve.

Spent four nights here. Perfect location, so walkable to Naxos Town and restaurants along the beach. The rooms are of a higher standard than actually shown in the photos. So clean and big. All have kitchenette and view overlooking beach. Soazik on Reception was amazing. Organised some things for us and a fountain of knowledge. Mike in the Beach Bar (which as a resident you get discount) makes fantastic cocktails. The service in that bar all day is brilliant. The waitresses and the gentleman who looks after the beach, all wonderful. Food was great the days we spent on the beach. The beach has very soft sand and shelving beach so suitable for small children too. Brilliant music was the bar all day too but not too loud as in most places. If you want a very good value for money beach holiday with high customer service and services, then I highlyrecommend Katergis.

I have lost count of how many times we have stayed here now. Its just the BEST! Location is fab, almost ON the beach yet only 5-10 mins walk to town. The staff are great, the rooms are clean and big and airy. The compact bathrooms are good with strong shower pressure. Small kitchen with fridge, kettle etc. Rooms are cleaned 6 days from 7, more than you get at many an upmarket hotel in the UK these days. Sitting on the balcony soaking up that view, be it at twilight, midnight or breakfast time is simply magic. For this part of Naxos, for us, it HAS to be the Kalergis. And for Naxos, and this location the prices are reasonable too. There's nothing negative to say

Our room walked out onto St Georges Beach
The family owned restaurants neighbor the hotel. The town square is a few minute walk away
The staff are kind, hardworking and knowledgeable
The room is finished with marble and white plaster. Feels so beautifully Greek

Stayed at Kalergis with my family of four in two units, both looking out over the beach. The lower level room opens right onto the sand! The location is perfect- on the beach but one block to grocery, shops and 5-10 minutes to all the activity in old town Chora. The beach is stunning. I've seen prettier sand elsewhere, but the water is clearer than anything I've ever seen. Perfect for families. The staff were very responsive and helpful with local information, booking a car and airport transportation. The property is a bit more rustic and worn than the pictures suggest or than one may expect from a luxury property. But the service and proximity make it well worth it.

This about the 4th time we have stayed here since 2012 and we love it. Its not been 'messed about with' and is still the perfect Greek accommodation, clean, bright, spacious, a nice bigger than average, powerful shower, a VERY big and comfy bed. And 'Swazeek'...I know I have spelt that wrong..on reception who is SO helpful and friendly. Its right overlooking a beach, so wonderful to sit on the balcony and read and watch the sea and have a coffee or a pre-dinner drink, or even a very late night Metaxa or 2 under the moon. Perfectly placed for town, and the port, a 10 min stroll away so close enough yet still quiet & peaceful . Free parking 5 minutes walk away and only 10-15 minute drive to the airport. This place just ticks EVERY box for us, and I always feel when we are there, that the other guests are like-minded..of a similar age and all proper Greekophiles...and this is just the accommodation our sort of people love. Please don't ever change! Already planning to come back in June next year! And again in September if we can!.
