The hotel has changed ownership since last year but there were still a couple of familiar faces. Not too much had changed, there have been new sunbeds and parasols on the beach and new comfy seating to the side of the beach bar. The beach has retained its Blue Flag status for another year and rightly so, it is a safe sandy bay which is wonderful for swimming. The sun loungers were free for residents and could be reserved on request. We never had a problem finding somewhere to sit, however it may become busy in the high season as it is a public beach.
We had a different room this year on the top floor, dual aspect, with a massive terrace plus another small balcony. It was wonderful with comfy sun loungers and bistro set on the main terrace and another table and chairs on the other. I would think that every room here has good sea and sunset views. We were well looked after by all the staff from Breakfast to Reception to the boys in the Beach Bar. Orpheus had even converted us to coffee at breakfast by the end of the holiday. Most people sat outside to eat breakfast; the wasps were annoying some mornings, but it is possible to sit inside too.
We enjoyed the 20 min walk into Batsi for dinner (take some comfortable shoes), however there is also a good little Taverna 5 mins downhill from the hotel which is set right on the beach. Sunsets and the night sky are amazing; although the road back to the hotel has lights we did find a torch useful.
Efi, the General Manager, and Alkis, the Front Office Manager were both extremely helpful assisting with travel to and from the hotel. In 2022 we travelled with Sunvil and this year made arrangements ourselves with the help of Efi and Alkis – very much appreciated.
This is a very well maintained friendly, small hotel in a lovely location and we would very much like to return.
The hotel is in a perfect location just beside the beautiful beach.
The beach has chairs/beds and sun umbrellas.
There is also a bar restaurant which is great.
Our room was outstanding with all the necessary amenities and very comfortable bed but the highlight of the room was the very large balcony facing the sea with a table, chairs and 2 sun tanning beds.
The room and the entire hotel was spotless clean.
Perfect!
Breakfast was according to the Corona limitations but you can order what you want such as fried eggs etc.
The entire staff were very pleasant and helpful but above all was the manager Maria.
This lady is an angel. She completely went out of her way to help in any needed aspect. Booking us in advance ferry tickets which waited for us on the ferry itself, helping us with the car rental, arranging us the Covid 19 test on the island etc etc.
THANK YOU MARIA!
We will definitely return to Andros island and no doubt that we will stay again at the Aneroussa beach hotel.
The breakfast was varied and tasty, no complaints! The bar makes excellent cocktails, try the Aperol Spritz!
The staff (both upstairs at the hotel and downstairs at the beach bar) were all extremely warm, helpful, and pleasant to interact with. Thank you Efi, Alkis, Vassilis, Orfeas, and Venetia (I've likely forgotten a few names).
Speaking of the beach bar downstairs, it's got a great and reasonably priced selection of food and drinks. I'd recommend the club sandwich and the freddo espresso as an afternoon combo. The beach is beautiful, clean, while the background music definitely has that Greek summer vibe. Importantly, I noticed there's also an accessibility ramp to get to the beach, and the hotel is serious about recycling. Kudos!
Totally recommended! Next time I'm in Andros, I know where I'm staying.
We stayed in a Superior room which was kept beautifully clean with regular changes of bed linen and bathroom towels. We had a secluded balcony with sun beds and a lovely view over the gardens, across the sea and of the sunset.
There are several steps around the hotel, significantly down to the beach (although there is a path as well). There is a beach bar and free sun beds for anyone staying at the Aneroussa. You can also snorkel from the beach which is in 2 part - one sandy and one rocky. Beach shoes are recommended for the latter.
Breakfast is typical Greek buffet style with sufficient variety to cater for most. They served great coffee and a special mention must go to Jenny who prepared my Americano without my asking.
For those who do not like walking, car hire is recommended and there is plenty of parking at the hotel.
All the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful which contributed to making this a great holiday.
The beach has been upgraded since the previous years with new infrastructure and this upgrade can be seen in the fact that it is the only beach on the island with a blue flag.
Maria is the soul of this hotel and great support in whatever you need- Big thank you to her, makes the stay really different.
Rooms in 2 floor were small bit brilliant view.
Breakfast which you can have until 12! was very good, could maybe be organized a bit better but they want everyone to have the same choice as if there would be a normal buffet. staff was friendly besides the elder men who was not very nice most of the times.
We enjoyed the location and the stay in general a lot and hope to come back.
Thanks again Maria for all the support
Amazing place , staff always friendly and extremely helpful . From the time you arrive you feel instantly relaxed . Always enjoy the private beach and the beach bar of the hotel .
Andros is a wonderful green island
Highly recommended!
"Plenty of space on the beach so lack of pool was not a drawback. Superior room was good."Read full review
