My boyfriend and I went to Dublin for 3 nights and upon reading reviews of this hotel we assumed it was in the centre, or a short distance away. However, when arriving in Dublin, we were told by several people that we were miles away and would require a bus pass for the time we were there so that we could get into the centre and back. Taxis from the hotel to the city centre (around temple bar area) were 20/25 euros and a taxi to the airport was 50. It was so much hassle trying to get out and about as the buses were only every hour and stopped running after 11:30pm. Although this isn't entirely the hotel's fault, I do feel that their description on the hotel site is very misleading as it is not an ideal location for young couples such as ourselves or anyone else wanting to go out into the city centre at night. The hotel states its 0.9 miles away from the city centre, this is not true and I would recommend staying elsewhere if you're not going to stay local. On the other hand, the hotel was fantastic and staff were welcoming and friendly, couldn't fault them at all. If the city centre does get boring, I recommend going into the local village Clondalkin as there's so much to do and plenty of bars and live music acts, it was a nice change from the pricey drinks around temple bar.

We chose this hotel as it’s located on the motorway heading west which suited our onward journey. The hotel is in a pleasant site with a large reception area with a restaurant and bar located in this area. The hotel has leisure facilities but as these were closed during our visit I cannot review this area. The hotel, both the general areas and rooms is clean and in good condition.
However, for a 4* hotel it is on the basic end of the scale. The room had no iron and ironing board and no safe. The hospitality tray had only very basic tea and coffee with no options available. The en suite had no bath sheets (just very skimpy bath towels), no shower caps or tissues. The toilet roll holder had a missing edge so the roll fell off when in use.
The breakfast was basic in the extreme - nothing at the tables you collected knives forks etc at the buffet. The selection was very poor, no breads (other than for toast) no cold selection of meats, cheeses etc. The coffee was from a flask and the tea from a hot water tap with teabags (no choice) available beside the tap. The hot selection was OK but I had to wait until a member of staff finished clearing tables to serve me.
The bar food was of a good standard with very good sized portions but again all on the cheap and cheerful end of the scale. You had to order and pay at the bar and get a numbered sign for your table .
Judging by the number of works vans in the car park I got the impression that the hotel had a large number of commercial guests.

Started badly lift from car Park buttons missing on panel, dangerous. On checking in reception required a credit card in case of damage
Room was large and clean but basic, toilet seat cheap and moved when sat on, cheap loo roll. Only window was a patio door opening onto a shared balcony, can't leave open at night anyone could walk in, then we heard people running up and down outside the window late on. Notes telling guests not to charge drills! No microwave allowed!

Self service cafe not a restaurant with no service or serviettes. Full of work men.

Pool and gym closed but no reduction in price .

Stay at a premier inn and use a beefeater it would be better than this hotel.

I have stayed in the Greenisle recently on a few occasions I am a frontline worker and the hotel is catering for all essential workers and frontline staff . All necessary precautions are adhered to safety glass at reception tables in restaurant spread apart and excellent hygiene standards . I have to say i can only give a positive recommendation about this hotel .Staff have been highly professional and friendly from check in to check out like to give a special mention to Diana and Ronan and the friendly waitress in the restaurant . I have asked not to be disturbed during a the day as I work nights which has been honoured and found the hotel very quiet with double doors near bedroom corridors which helps with noise control . I have found the bedrooms to be very clean and comfortable . The Bar/restaurant is open for food daily and there is a takeaway option for coffee/ food also .There is a little shop in the hotel for toiletries snacks water etc very handy . Plenty of free parking on hotel grounds. Hotel also offering a very good rate and location of the hotel is so handy near N7 M50 .Also a local park if you need a stroll . So would highly recommend this hotel a home away from home during these strange times.

I wanted to surprise my parents for their 40th Wedding Anniversary. I wanted to take them back to the Green Isle Hotel, where they got married in a March 1980. I contacted Hazel and she was absolutely amazing. She booked us a perfect room for dinner, created a 3 course menu and there was nothing that was too much trouble.

Hazel organised bedrooms, balloons, candelabras and anything else you may have needed...

Then I got to speak to Catarina... the most loveliest receptionist I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. She suggested that she would meet my Parents at the hotel when they arrived, welcome them to the hotel and show them to their ‘surprise party’. It was perfect.

Looking after us was Restaurant manager Masum and the lovely Kelsey! They both looked after us so well, served us delicious food and joined in the fun with our party.

As we checked in to our room, we had the pleasure of being looked after by Niall. An absolute gent who was so welcoming and so kind in his manner.

We had a wonderful party and felt so well looked after the whole night long. Next morning at breakfast the lovely Ester was at hand if anybody needed anything extra!

What can I say... except it was a WONDERFUL night with WONDERFUL food and served by WONDERFUL staff.

Thank you thank you thank you x

We visited the hotel on the 11thOctober, our reason was to enjoy some swimming with our son & have a nice break. It could not have been further from the reality. no Face masks on hotel staff, no masks on SPA staff. we could not have dinner as the hotel was so badly managed and people not at their tables. We went back to our "smoke smelling" room at 9pm and were still awake at 3pm with people running up and down the corridor. having a live band on is an absolute joke and simply alcohol should not be sold after 11pm. People are boking the "cheap" rooms to have a party all night and the hotel allows this. We did not have breakfast in the hotel as there were over 100 people queuing with NO masks on for the buffet.

absolute madness how this is allowed to carry on.

Was disappointed, had stayed here in the past and had much better experiences.
We rang in advance to tell them neither of us had a credit card and lady on phone said no problem and she would leave a note with our booking. When we were arrived we were told we could not check in without a credit card. Took ages to explain and resolve which was frustrating. Receptionist was unfriendly.
Both mornings at breakfast we were asked to pay even though we already had paid on checking in.
Rooms were absolutely boiling and window couldnt even be cracked open.
Leisure centre was not clean, the pool deck had visible dirt and clearly had not been cleaned and staff there were unfriendly.
Food was good and waiting staff were nice.

Very pleasant and helpful staff. we checked in on Saturday the 25th of July. The receptionist was local and told us about corkagh Park which was very close. Our girls loved the playground there. All the staff from the leisure centre, bar, restaurant and reception that we encountered were great to deal with.
Our family room was very large and clean. The built in wardrobe was very dated. The beds were very comfortable.
We ate at the hotel for the three three nights we stayed. The food was good. The chicken supreme on the Wednesday night was excellent. I asked the waitress to pass on my complements to the chef. There was a two blonde staff in the restaurant who where particularly helpful. Saoirse(my daughter was also saoirse) was one I can't remember the name of the other girl. My only complaint in the restaurant is the kids menu is limited and charging 10euro for a kids carvery is extortionate!
Other than that we had a great time exploring Dublin and the hotel is in a great location to allow this. We would definitely return to the green Isle hotel.

Stayed in the green isle on Sat 3rd Oct with my partner and baby and we could not fault it. We went for the dinner+BB package and food was lovely. Staff in restaurant at dinner were so polite and the chef serving breakfast this morning served everyone with a smile on his face and was very jolly and pleasant. We felt safe at all times and hotel adhered to all covid guidelines. We have stayed in other hotels during the pandemic were we didn't feel welcome and couldn't escape COVID constantly in our faces, confined to our rooms with no hotel experience or atmosphere. In the Green Isle we felt relaxed and found restrictions easy to follow. It was a great experience and nice escape. Rooms immaculate and other hotel guests were respectful. Lady on duty at leisure centre was absolutely lovely. Shout out to Diane the receptionist who was dealing with a busy hotel, queries from a lot of guests on the Saturday night and Sunday morning, she was calm, professional and courteous. We will definitely be back as it was great value for money. Thank you!!!

We have stayed here on a number of occasions primarily best of access uo Luas into Dublin. Checked in during afternoon, had a swim, had early dinner (basic food, no frills ) went to Theatre with our granddaughters. Back in time for late drink.
Breakfast in morning before leaving to return to Clare in the afternoon.
Nothing flash, kids liked the hotel. Clean and user friendly. Bar staff were the flagship of this hotel
