I stayed at this establishment as I was in County Dublin on business and have stayed a number of times previously. I have always always found it to be comfortable and convenient due to its location outside of inner city Dublin and its extensive onsite car parking.
I specifically requested a quiet room as I was arriving late and checking out early, hence was pleased to be upgraded on arrival to the 8th floor of the new building. The check in process was seamless, friendly and efficient, and on reaching my room I found it to have everything one would expect from such. It was clean with a large comfortable bed and good quality bedding. The en-suite was spacious and thankfully with a large stand alone shower (I do detest these stand in the bath showers in some establishments) all the services and substances one would expect to find within such were present.
I did experience a little bit of noise pollution migration as people returned to their rooms after, I assume to be closing of the bar, however it was just about at an acceptable level as I had booked an early check out. As mine was an innocuous Sunday night stay noise may of greater concern at busier times when concert patronage etc may be a factor.
Breakfast was substantial with the usual buffet hot breakfast supplemented by a comprehensive selection of cereals, fruits, porridge and cheeses etc . I have noted some reviewers commenting on the buffet being stale and old ! In fairness to the establishment the time to complain about these issues are at the time of dining. I have found that most establishments are more than happy to provide a freshly cooked breakfast on request. With due fairness to the hotel it is an increasingly difficult task to keep a buffet fresh due to the staggered attendance of the guests.
Check out, as check in, was prompt and efficient. The reason I have deducted a single star rating is the noise migration which may in other circumstances have been an issue of much greater magnitude and also as even though I can understand the rational behind the separate charge for parking (an issue which is becoming annoyingly common place throughout the country) I find it an unnecessary inconvenience, particularly for commercial clientele considering the extensive onsite car park. This issue could be dealt with at the time of reservation with a simple tick box option to be included in the room tariff.
All in all this is a good quality hotel offering a comfortable stay with efficient service and I would certainly stay again.

Decent enough hotel for a night over but don't expect to get too much peace as its very very noisy. All i could hear was people talking and doors opening and closing.
All along the corridor of where my room was there was just trays left outside to be picked up by housekeeping, including right outside my room from the previous guests. Nobody bothered to collect all these trays (approx 10 outside different rooms) until around 11pm causing even more noise.

Its nice overall but it depends where your room is situated I suppose.

I checked into the red cow this evening 23rd of Feb. The reception staff where friendly and efficient. Bit strange to be charged €10 per night for parking as most hotels don't but my fault for not investigating. Room was pleasant and clean. I am travelling for work so decided to order room service. I tried countless times to ring room service but the phone was never answered. I eventually got reception to put me through and placed my order. I waited for over 2 hours and then started to try to ring again to see where my dinner was, same problem phone kept being answered and then hung up I contacted reception and they told me I had given the wrong room number I didn't. A manager apologised and said he would send a sandwich up and a voucher for a meal the next night at the same time. The sandwich came the voucher didn't not surprised really. Lets see what tomorrow brings very disappointed so far.

I have stayed here a number of times previously but this is my last. While the hotel is conveniently positioned and some parts of the hotel are new,

On the plus side, the breakfast room is well laid out and service is good with a good variety of offering.

On the downside, if you are not lucky enough to be appointed a new room, the experience can be woeful.

I booked and pre paid for B&B (junior suite) with parking paid, what I received was a family room that was dirty. The jacuzzi bath didn’t work, there was mould all around the bath, the bins had rubbish from the previous nights guests, the hot water in the shower did not work, the bath plug didn’t work, the window leaked and on departure I was asked and had to pay for the parking again.

I would also be unhappy that there is no room service after 9.30pm and this should have been pointed out on check in or at least on the menu in the room and the bar closes at 10pm with no further services available to guests.

Appreciate hospitality got a raw deal during Covid and it is possibly difficult getting staff retrained but there is no excuse for dirt or un emptied bins or asking guests to pay twice for parking.

I afforded the hotel the right to reply 2 days ago snd still await an answer as I’d like my parking money back.

The room was lovely and the hotel looks lovely but the service and staff let it down. My daughter asked about vegan options at (the 15 euro) breakfast and the staff didn’t know. The receptionist was uninterested when we complained about this and tried to add an 8 euro charge for parking. I told her that we had specifically been told on check on that we had parking included and she was visibly disgusted. Rude, just rude.
Both check in and breakfast were chaos. No staff came to ask if we wanted tea or coffee because it was mayhem and they were snapping at each other.
The price is okay, but the Green Isle down the road offer the same price without the chaos and parking fee.

Booked a pay on arrival room, rang twice to confirm that i could pay with One4All voucher when i arrived yet they took they money off my card 3 hours before i checked in. Smallest room iv ever been in couldnt even stand up in most of the room as it was a corner attick room 358, in the old building even though they advertised the new building (which i thought i was booking). No hot water, had the coldest shower of my life! Nail sticking up from the carpet as u walk out of the bathroom and i caught my foot on it twice! The room hair dryer over heated after 30 seconds and it had the smallest window so the room was in darkness even during the day. The book in the room says theres room service between 10pm and 7am with a charge of €8 per tray which is fine... so when we were to order it we were told no they dont do room service. To top it off after paying €140 for 1 night in this bad hotel i had to pay €10 parking. Iv spent the last week since my stay trying to talk to a manager and no one answers the phone and when they email me back saying theyll contact me, they still havent!! Never again!

Stayed in the new part of the hotel and was charged only €93 for a triple room !! This hotel is fabulous and luxurious. Rooms are finished to such a high standard and spotless ! The duty manger Darren is a credit to the hotel, couldnt do enough for us on check in and when we saw him the next morning and asked how the concert we attended went - Now that is paying attention to your customer when they are checking in and taking an interest in their visit !! The Breakfast was a high standard and the food was of excellent quality. Resturant staff were really friendly too. Will be making a return visit soon !

When we arrived, we got greeted by a receptionist that was not pleasant at all. Any question we had was returned with a short answer. when i asked about the car park she replied 10Euro and the ticket machine is over there. I asked her does residents not get free parking she said no. This is not what is on your website. The staff in the restaurant are lovely and very helpful. the menu is very poor pasta / pizza or steak with a 10Euro supplement. Another way to get as much money out of us as possible. i got a pasta dish that i didn't eat as it had no taste. My wife got a pizza and she said it was very poor too. the rooms are lovely but there is a wind noise that goes through the hotel at night sounds like the banshee and we couldn't sleep. Breakfast this morning was ok nothing special but the staff are lovely. Checked out early as we had enough and couldn't wait to leave. I asked again at check out about the parking and was told it be 10Euro, I asked again about the parking for residents and he said no its on our website. When i looked on the website it says FREE PARKING and it seemed liked another way to get more money from us. I have done CPC courses in the hotel and never had to pay for parking. I certainly won't be returning. We are encouraged to have a staycation but in your case its try get as much money off people as passable. In these hard times not everyone has it. Very poor experience.

Stayed for 2 nights. Room was located in the new part. Room looked modern and comfortable. And that the best part!

There was no air conditioning for the new rooms. Like a sweat box. Window barely opened. Asked for a fan and one was provided but barely done anything to change the temperature.

No fan in the bathroom so when you close the door you over heat. Have to leave the door open and this adds to the already roasting room!

The staff do not advise when arriving need ticket for car park. We pressed button and the reception staff opened the gate for us and nothing advised about card needed to leave. On checking out it was then told and that we would have to pay additional €20 for card for the 2 nights. We have no issue with paying it, but should have been told at start.

The older part of hotel has inbuilt air conditioning in the bedrooms.

There was not enforcing of the COVID-19 rules
