Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This hotel has a lot going for it. Gorgeous views, great restaurant, and clean. The outside areas provide lots of space to relax. The staff is genuinely friendly and helpful, I can’t say enough about them. My only complaint would be the bed was hard; it seems to be a European thing We had a lovely vacation.

Just back from a terribly disappointing stay at Villa Sirena. All previous reviews were good so I felt safe to book here. What a let-down! Where do I start?? I paid €233 per night for a triple room with Garden View. So three flights of stairs (no lift) to reach a cubicle tiny room that looks at a wall with maids bucket-mop-broom area. No privacy since our small window gave in to the passage to swimming pool. Very depressing. Our half board was a joke. Firstly we were not allowed to eat in the advertised terrace restaurant with view but were confined to eat in a covered yard wit no view. And where do I start with the food??? The worst food I have ever been served in Italy in my 44 years of visiting! Inedible to say the least. I’ve eaten better at my University Canteen. Breakfast was not Buffet as advertised but served from behind Perspex (covid restrictions had been lifted months before) by the grouchy owner . Very inconvenient. No reception/concierge present in all the four days we were there. Only a waiter to help you out with anything. Any carrying luggage three flights of stairs after a vertical hill was the cherry on the cake!!

We chanced our luck trying to get a table for 2 without a booking and they managed to squeeze us in! I’d recommend booking otherwise. The lady who greeted us had near perfect spoken English and talked us through the things on the menu. The food was SO TASTY. I had cod and chips and my fiancè had margarita pizza. The view was gorgeous too. Would definitely recommend this restaurant.

We have just returned from two weeks in Sant' Angelo, Ischia, staying at the Villa Sirena. What a fantastic holiday on this beautiful island, made all the more special by the wonderful staff at the Hotel Villa Sirena. This is a first class hotel with a great restaurant on a terrace with one of the best views on the island. Family run, the enthusiastic and friendly team went out of their way to make our stay special. Lovely cool rooms and a wonderful garden and swimming pool. It is the ideal place to enjoy the views, tastes and sounds of Sant' Angelo. We shall be back! Thank you to everyone at Villa Sirena.

I cannot recommend this hotel enough. It is a family run hotel, much like any other hotel in Italy. Guido and Co are very friendly, warm and welcoming and very helpful if you need help. They gave us advice on how to get around and it’s very simple once you know how. Rooms are clean and are kept clean, me and partner had a beautiful sea view room. The food is delicious from breakfast to dinner. The hotel is not far from the beach/shops/restaurants, it’s a short walk. Sant’Angelo is a quiet peaceful place when you can just relax and unwind. Will be visiting again. Ciao, Grazie :) (Camera 6)

We stayed at Hotel Villa Sirena for 3 days at the end of our visit to Italy. It was the absolutely perfect end to an amazing vacation. We were met with the utmost of professional and welcoming expressions from Guido and his family. The room was clean, the view exceptional, food great, pool clean. I cannot say enough positive. Guido and Jordonna (spelling?), as well as the rest of the family could not have been nicer. They not only took care of us while our stay but made all of our transfers and travel arrangements from Hotel Villa Sirena back to Rome. WOW. We tried to give him cash tips on two occasions for his help and he refused but promised he would accept next time we visited. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts.

We stayed here for 9 days, never having travelled in this part of italy before we wondered what to expect however we need not have worried, this is an excellent, well run family hotel. The rooms are kept clean and tidy and the pool area has one of the nicest surroundings I've encountered anywhere. We found the staff, especially Guido (?) and the lady at breakfast to be very friendly, helpful and patient. The restaurant as someone has already pointed out looks posh but isn't really and the food and wines are superb. Only two suggestions: install a wifi booster on the top floor, the signal up there was poor; and maybe replenish the soap in the rooms more often. All in all, if we're ever back in Ischia we'd have no problems staying here again.

We had a really lovely 8 days in this hotel on half board basis. If I return to Ischia I will definitely stay here. It is the quietest place on the island as there is no traffic allowed. Outside of this little haven is positively manic! Guido’s pizza’s are just amazing! He has a real passion for his craft . The whole family / staff work tirelessly and professionally to ensure a smooth stay. We had a top floor room with a view straight onto the sea, wow! We had a lovely balcony with Jasmine growing up it, the scent was heavenly, and so quiet and peaceful. We were very lazy some days just reading etc then we went down to the restaurant and picked up a takeaway pizza for lunch, we didn’t even leave the hotel! I think that Michele, the father of the family, is responsible for the lovely garden and pool area, it is so pretty ,the pool is not huge but the planting makes for an interesting swim. The swimming pool and garden area has to be one of the prettiest I have ever seen, lots of succulent plants and nice shady areas, nothing like the boring expanses of patio you get in some hotels. Breakfast is substantial and served by the lovely lady Miky.Nothing was too much trouble for her, she looked after us so well even though we speak no Italian we got by, with a few giggles. Our evening waitress Mitzi was also excellent, she never missed a beat, we were never left waiting for anything, so professional. We had a laugh in the morning with Michele, he would encourage us to try fish , but we are not big fish eaters, there were plenty of other excellent options and oh the home made desserts were the best. Everything just works in this hotel and restaurant, nothing is shabby or broken it is a well run place full of people who know how to host, both in the hotel and the restaurant. You can walk to the beach in about 5 minutes or catch a little boat to Maronti beach. The church is about 200 m away or 100m if you take the back gate from the garden. We also stayed in Forio and visited Ischia and Ischia Ponte as well as a few times round the island on the circular bus. Sant Angelo is the only place I would return to and definitely without doubt the Hotel Villa Sirena. If there is no space in the hotel and you visit Sant Angelo , eat in the restaurant at least. It looks rather posh but actually it is a fabulous family run place , as expensive or as inexpensive as you wish it to be. The pizza is heavenly, you will not find better. Also there were musicians on the Saturday night, very Italian , lovely atmosphere. Could not fault the Hotel Villa Sirena and the fabulous staff. Book it, you won't regret it.

I can’t really say enough to recommend this place, attentive staff, amazing location overlooking st Angelo, and the nicest family running it, we didn’t need anything extra, but I imagine if we did, they would provide, the restaurant is the best location in the area, with amazing views, after a few days here we realised we should just eat here, loved it and peaceful!

We stayed here for nine nights and it was absolutely perfect. The view from both the room and the restaurant terrace is breathtaking, the food is fantastic and the family who run it and their staff are so friendly and welcoming (special thanks to the English-speaking short-haired waitress who was just so lovely!). The room was spotless and the shower had great pressure and plenty of hot water. Gorgeous pool and beautiful gardens. Couldn’t fault a thing, thanks so much.
