We stayed at Il Cannito in early October - and came away feeling a bit mixed about our decision, almost exclusively from a value for money perspective. It is a stunning and beautifully quiet hotel, with great food, in a really interesting and relatively undiscovered area...but having travelled all over Italy for years and stayed in dozens of hotels and...

Great hospitality and we loved learning to cook in the kitchen with the family. Wonderful food and accommodation with picture perfect views. Watching the beautiful sunsets by the pool was another highlight for us each night before a lovely home cooked Italy dinner.

It is about a kilometre down a dirt track road (Via Cannito), located at the bottom of a hill, where on the left are some large gates and no conspicuous hotel sign. On ringing the bell, the gates are opened remotely. The hotel is another kilometre away up another dirt track. The journey is rewarded by arrival at a fabulous...

The two main houses are set on beautiful and perfectly quiet premises with a stunning sunset view over the bay of Paestum. The place is family-run and the 3 siblings are so helpful, kind and full of warmth. Antonella recommended us some options for day trips that were our best experiences in 2 weeks of Italy. Trust her with anything!...

We have been to Il Cannito for one night with some friends. Our expecations where very high since Il Cannito got an excellent review on "SZ - Ein perfektes Wochenende" which we usually follow on our holiday trips. The location is wonderful - a beautiful italian country house, very remotely in the mountains with nice interior. But this is not...

Beautiful retreat hidden high in the hills. Family is warm and generous and nothing is too much. Matriarch 'Anna- Marie' is one of the finest cooks you'll ever come across. Rooms are minimalistic and very clean. Suitable for families, but is remote so you must have a car to explore surrounding areas. Perfect for a couples getaway. At peak seasons...

In the Cilento hills, 1,50 hrs drive South from Naples and 1,30 hours drive from the Amalfi Coast this Villa with four rooms offers a retreat where you are welcomed as part of the family by Anne Marie, Nicola, Antonella and Santa. The food all beautifully home made in the villa is the best we have ever eaten, complimented by...

Such a lovely experience with a very special family. I highly recommend the cooking class - you will be learning directly from a very special, true Italian home cook! The accommodations were excellent, the pool sublime. Not a place to be missed!

When you arrive it is as though you have chanced upon an oasis: located in the countryside & accessed by a rather obscure, unmade up road...it is easy to miss!! It is off the beaten track so you need to have a vehicle to transport you. This is a small family run establishment: the family are caring, friendly and revel...

We were in the middle of fields, surrounded by the tractors of hard-working farmers, hoping that we wouldn't get a flat tire. We followed the directions, as indicated, and after some time driving we arrived at a gate that was very soberly indicating: "Il Cannito". From the moment the gate opened, our 3 days of amazing relaxing experience started. Located...
