We stayed at this beautiful hotel just on the outskirts of Alberobello for 2 weeks at the end of July. The suite we were in was amazing with 2 balconies and access to a small vineyard and garden from the back balcony. Our front balcony overlooked the main garden area and each day we had fantastic views of the resident birds of prey (the hotel also has a small animal zoo attached with horses, camels, wolves and tortoises all of which appeared extremely well looked after and happy). The breakfast was plentiful and, due to COVID, was served in our room daily by the very helpful staff (who couldn’t have been more attentive). We walked into town in the evenings for our evening meal - just 10mins to the centre of Alberobello which was fantastic. We felt that it would have been nice if we could have set the air con in the room lower on some of the very hot days but we didn’t actually ask Stella or Francesco (the owners) about this so it may have been possible. The hotel now also has a lovely pool (opened on the 2nd day we arrived) which was amazing and shows that the owners are investing in improving the hotel and facilities even in the current COVID driven economic environment. Thank you for making us welcome.

I cannot think of a place which better deserves a five star review. This is quite possibly the nicest place I have stayed! I could not recommend it more highly (although I worry that by saying so it might be full next time I book). The trulli were beautifully furnished and had everything you could possibly need (although the round bath tubs take a bit of getting used to!). The animals are very well looked after and clearly well loved too - it was a pleasure to see them. Pool is a little chilly - but it is June and it was a great place to sit and relax. Walk into town takes about 8 mins. First little bit (2 mins) is on a main road but after it is lovely to be in among the trulli. Staff are fantastic and really helpful.

A beautiful hotel, with large grounds, a swimming pool and small zoo.

Located around a 10 minute walk from the Trulli zone. Uphill on the way back and there is a section with no path. We walked it in the daytime but in the evening took a taxi for €5 each way.

The hotel arranged early check-in, and were very welcoming on arrival. Our room was upgraded, which was nice. It was a spacious room with tons of character. Lots of beautiful stone work. A small fridge and kitchen area too.

Breakfast was also lovely. Fresh croissants and good coffee.

Booking was easy, and staff very friendly and helpful.

We booked because of the pool but sadly didn't get the weather to use it.

This is a fabulous place. Beautiful setting and the rooms are clean. The owner keeps all sorts of animals and an amazing selection of birds, which are often on site e.g. bald eagle. The staff are very helpful and friendly and the service is great. What ever you ask for is executed quickly. We had a spa in our room, which was tricky to get into, but only because we are a little older. Also it is only heated in the evenings. There is a nice little kitchen area if you wished to cook, we did not , too many great restaurants close by. Beautiful views. Lovely pool. All in all a great start to our holiday.

OMG!
Where to start .
My wife and I have stayed at maybe 300 hotels in our life.
This was without doubt the greatest experience we have ever had at a hotel.
The photos on the website do not do it justice, but I didn’t book the Hotel because of them.
I booked because of the reviews.
And now I’m writing this!
It is incredible!
The owners become your friends!
Nothing is a problem.
The rooms are like nothing you have ever stayed in.
Traditional Trulli style.
There is a Zoo on the property and it is the shortest walk in to the main town.
It is stunning!
The pool is crazy good!
I have written many reviews about Hotels over the years, but please,do your self a favour, and stay at this magnificent property!
You will then be the next one writing a review like this!
John from Australia!

Absolutely beautiful place to stay to end our honeymoon! We stayed in the luxury suite with the aquarium over the bed, it was a stunning room. Very quiet and relaxing, we had a car so it was a very quick drive into town. It would be difficult to walk in.

Incredibly Gorgeous - the most beautiful stone work ever! The owner Stella was delightful and upgraded our reservation without us requesting it. A must for your travels when visiting alberobello! Stellar and magical in structure, grounds, hospitality and interior design. Very cool vibe with keeping the integrity of the rich history and the owner’s passion for Falconry!

Our tour company moved us to this hotel without consultation and we would much have preferred to be in the centre of Alberobello - to walk there on an unlit road at night was dangerous so we had to hire taxis. While many seem to like having birds and animals close by, we do not approve of keeping them in cages - and in the warm weather they attract flies which got into our room (when we complained we were asked if the door was opened - well yes, to get in and out and the staff to clean rooms!). Breakfast was good, but no other meals available so would not call this a resort hotel.

Dear Marilyn this is our Resort and our beautiful life. Nothing is hidden. Everything is known on our web site. Our birds, our different animals, our position in relation to the center and the fact that we not have a resaurant. We are sorry to read your review beacuse we love our animals and every creature here, with us. We work a lot of time in order to take care about them, everyday. You deal with this creature with love and respect. We are sorry for your resentment. This is the world that we love and that with sacrifice and love we feed in all its forms. We are sorry that for a mistake of your agency you write to us a bed review. Best regards

Whilst the place itself was lovely, we found the service and attention to detail to be terribly lacking. After we were settled in we noticed we had only ONE bath towel and no hand towels. No water or milk. ONE ordinary tea bag and two herbal. NO coffee. After finally getting an answer from reception after several tries, the woman said she would come to our room. Nobody arrived so I called again and tried to explain what we wanted. She raised her voice and said, ‘you come meet me in reception’. I tried to say it was raining and it was a fair walk to reception when she practically shouted ‘you meet me in reception!’ and hung up on me. My partner headed down and in the time it took him to get there she rang back shouting ‘where are you, I’m waiting in reception!’. As I was replying, she hung up on me again! She eventually came to the room with water and tea bags and said they don’t provide coffee. We asked again for towels. ‘Well how many towels do you want?!’ was her reply! Seriously? Her rudeness and the lack of attention to detail was appalling. Nice surroundings or not, this is one place to which we would not return. Having read the other negative reviews, I will now wait for the expected rude response from management. PS. We have been in Italy 4 weeks and stayed at some wonderful places that we have given excellent reviews. We are not difficult customers.
