Cristiana was great! Very friendly and helpful hostess that I have ever met! She extended her assistance in calling a local car rental company for our booking that made us stress free before heading to Italy. Our stay in a Trullo which was an amazing place, clean, tidy and in a great location. Highly recommend for a stay in Truillmania B&B

Excellent place to stay and live the experience of sleeping in Trulli. It is well located, it is not the main area where most of the trulli are but it is very close walking distance to that area. Very friendly and helpful owners of the site, 100% recommended.

Our Trullo had everything we needed for our short break and is in a central location. We loved breakfast provided at the local cafe. Flavio is a fantastic host, with great recommendations, speaks excellent English and generous with his time to welcome us to Alberobello. Thank you!

What a pleasure it has been to visit this special town - and what a perfect host we found in Flavio the owner of Trulli Mania. Having emailed him prior to our arrival it was arranged for us to be collected from the airport as out flight was arriving in late. His partner met us at the airport and safely deposited us at the main church where we met Flavio for the first time. He helped us with cases to the Trulli about 100 metres away. The Trulli we stayed in had a double bedroom a living area with fold down sofa bed, toilet with shower and a garden which was to be our home for the next 7 days. We had great free WIFI whilst in the Trulli and enjoyed the voucher system operated with a local restaurant for breakfast every morning - delicious hot croissants and great cappuccino - fresh fruit and cold cuts with bread - it set us up for the day
Flavio ensured we had bottled water in the fridge on arrival and left some of his hand picked organic cherries from his garden for us to sample - they were delicious . As it was late Flavio suggested he would take us on an orientation tour the following morning. As promised he returned and took us on a tour of Alberabello, pointing out places of interest including local banks to get cash and showing us his town. It is self evident this man is very proud of this magical kingdom with its hobbit style Trulli houses. He shared with us the making of a Trulli - the design and craft of the build. He walked us through the old part of town, where it was not commercial - for us to really appreciate how special the buildings are. Whilst on our walk he pointed out things of interest from the wild capers that were growing beside a wall to the blue berries growing wild.He took us to shops that he recommended for provisions including am amazing cheese shop where we sampled different types of local cheese. We asked if we could have an iron - and he immediatly offered to have the ironing done for us. We declined and a few hours later an iron and ironing board appeared. He helped book us into an amazing restaurant at short notice -that is normally impossible to get a booking in and also helped us arrange transport to and from Matera through his friend. We had decided to rely on public transport initially but realised sometimes this was quite challenging as trains were few and far between - with not the best connection times. Flavio was like our own personal Genie - your wish is my command - he made things happen, Without pushing or making you feel akward - but as he is very good at listening to what you say - and picks up on things you need and hey presto - they are fixed as if by magic .I have never met anyone quite so willing to make your stay so memorable and special as Flavio. He certainly made our stay in this region one neither of us will forget . He even dropped us off at the rail station for our onward journey to Lecce. Flavio you are a gem and we both hope to come visit you in your new "village " soon.

We stayed at Trullimania for only one night, on our way down to Lecce.

Great central location, within easy walking distance to bars, restaurants and the main attraction of Alberobello, the two trulli quarters of Rione Monti and Rione Aia Piccola.

As instructed in the booking email we took ourselves to Piazza Antonio Curri and gave Flavio, the owner of Trullimania, a call. A few minutes later he met us there and walked us to the property - it's not even 100 metres from the square, but a bit hard to find in the small alleys.

Our room was wonderful, spotlessly clean, white linen and towels. Beautiful bathroom, with a part of the original outer wall integrated into the shower, plenty of hot water. The room also had a small pantry which we did not use. I really liked the reduced interior in connection with the beautifully restored old building.

After check-in we got lucky and Flavio gave us a brief tour of Alberobello. He showed us to the less commercial trulli quarter and told us some interesting facts about the construction of the trulli houses. He also had some great tips on restaurants.

Breakfast is taken in a nice bar / café just around the corner, for which we received a voucher. It's the typical italian breakfast, consisting of coffee and pastry.

We felt sorry that we had only planned for one night in Alberobello. We would have loved to stay at least another night, and also hang out with Flavio a bit more!

Tip 1: parking directly at Trullimania is not possible. However, there is paid parking available on the streets around the square, marked by blue lines on the street. With a bit of searching and a few hundred metres from the property you can possibly also find free parking, marked by white lines.

Tip 2: Trullimania does not advertise wifi, due to the thickness of the walls of the trulli house - the wifi signal just doesn't get through. However, I caught a signal just in front of the house, and Flavio let me use it to check some emails. So you're not completely cut off :-)

I had such a great time in Alberobello! To start with the fact that when I called Manuella(Flavio's assistant) to ask how to get there, she came to the station to pick me up in her car. Then she showed me the room -fine,clean,spacius and well planned. The kitchenette was a nice surprise.Later she took me for a tour of the town and its shops(chocolate, cheese embroideery -you name it).We also went to dinner at Fidelio and I got to taste the famous dishes of the region. It was relaxing and I reccomend it very much

Flavio is the reason why they invented the high score rating system.

we had booked through booking.com into a cummersa ( a traditional house with a sloping roof) but we wanted to stay in a trullo and we requested Falvio who was happy to upgrade us to a trullo since one was available.
he took us on a short guided tour of alberobello, fed us local delicacies.

the trullo is very comfortable, the bed huge and extremely comfortable. we have never slept better. whenever we wanted a restaurant recommendation he was there, when we needed transport he was there . the breakfast vouchers at a local restaurant was excellent too.
he took us to a local Gelateria, a cheese place and another local store selling taralle a local snack. it felt like a vacation with a friend. He also took us to visit a countryside resort where Trulli are being restored and it was a unique experience that I dont think many other traveller have the opportunity to experience.

Flavio speaks excellent english and it was very easy for my first visit to italy.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay in the lovely B&B. It is well situated in the centre of town close to restaurants. The owner was very friendly and helpful and found us a place to park nearby. He generously took us for a walk and told us lots of interesting information about the town and trullis. We called into a cheese shop where we were given samples, including the most delicious mozzarella I have ever tasted.

Breakfast was at a nearby cafe with an organic vegetable garden at the back. The owner gave us restaurant recommendations and told us about places of interest in the area.

Great service and value for money!
