My husband and I visited Alberobello the very first few days of July and had the loveliest time staying with Trullidea for 3 nights. We booked room “TRISTIDDE 41” which featured a private outdoor space to relax in and could not have been happier. Trullidea has a bunch of “spread out” trulli so it is not a typical hotel/accommodation with a main reception and all rooms in one “building” This is very clear on the website, but thought I should emphasize this anyhow. This makes for a very unique, intimate experience — as if you are living in the town! The location of this accommodation is prime since the reception office is located on one of the main streets within the Rione Monti district and so are their Trulli. Our trullo was located in a quieter part of the town (as described on the website) and this was wonderful because we wanted to be close to everything but prefer quiet & private accommodation. This allowed us to get the best of both! Just walk one minute and you’re in all the action! The trullo itself was very comfortable with different places to sit and relax and we appreciated that breakfast could be sent directly to the room every morning. No issues with staying cool even in the heat of the summer since the architecture of a trullo makes it cool inside by default but the AC functioned perfectly as well. Staff were very kind and we were given great restaurant recommendations and even a great recommendation for a local tour guide. Most people only take a day trip to Alberobello but you only get to “trulli” experience this place by staying at least an extra day and do not pass the opportunity to stay in a trullo like this one!

Having cycled about 60km, and the latter part in the rain, we turned up soaked and dripping. The receptionist was on the phone, so we stood for a good 5 mins or so waiting for her to finish her call. We were wet through and asked if there was somewhere we could dry our clothes. She hesitated outside a room beside reception where we could clearly hear a tumble dryer, but she then said that there wasn't anywhere to dry them (we were literally dripping). Our room was supposed to be 'superior', but it was frankly depressing and dingy. We could appreciate that the nature of a trullo is to have little or no windows/ light but the furnishings in the room were outdated and very basic. It cost an extra 10 euros to use the hob! The hot water ran out after my friend had her shower, so I was left to have a cold one. Not great, especially after a day cycling in the rain. Cereals were provided in the room, yet no milk. There was a kettle, (a welcome addition, as not all hotels in Italy have them) and teabags etc., but without any milk we had to make do with black tea. On the upside the beds were comfortable and the rooms clean. Breakfast was provided in a nearby cafe and was rather chaotic as there were limited seats and tables and a lot of guests being catered for. Not the nicest of breakfasts. Would not rate this hotel as 4* and dread to think what a standard room would have been like!

Our stay at Trullidea totally lived up to our expectations and more. The reception is very conveniently located just off the main road. We were greeted enthusiastically by a really lovely receptionist who was so helpful and took us the short walk to our Trulli, number 21. It was absolutely beautiful with a large very comfortable bed, perfect sized dining table, well equipped kitchen, lovely bathroom (wish I'd read their information about hot water --my fault entirely!) and cute niche with comfy settee. There were so many small, considerate and decorative details that enhanced the whole experience. Breakfast was at a small cafe, perfect for us as it was quite light. We would definitely stay at Trullidea again and I would request number 21.

Once again Trullidea hit the target. 3 room Trulli with our daughter right next door in her own. The family has been renting 25 trullis for about 25 years. Well kept with a/c. We were here in early august and there were crowds but not a problem. City was alive with families every night. Family had numbers 25- 27

Let’s just agree from the start that trullis have got to be the most adorable houses out there, and actually staying in one is a great experience. But, this was the one hotel on our 8-day bike trip that we spent more than one night in, and I wish it had been any other from a comfort standpoint, which was a high priority after a full day’s cycling. The furnishings were pretty spartan, the shower was tiny (even by European standards) and the beds were merely adequate. I believe all the trullis here are slightly different (ours included a kitchen and dining room neither of which we ever used), and it may be that some are more luxe than others, but come here for the atmosphere and experience rather than comfort.

Cool to stay in a Trulli house. We have slept in all sorts of unique places( yurts, girs, caves and a wine cellar) and this was every bit as unique. Location was perfect right in the center of town ( we were in unit 31), but very quiet as the walls are thick. Very nicely furnished - they make the most of every square inch)but a little tricky for my husband as he is tall. Bathroom is quite modern and very functional. In hindsight we would have preferred one night for a couple of reasons. There was a heat wave while we were there and the A/C worked for the living area but it did not cool the bedroom. Also, again because of the heat we could not open the windows and so there is no natural light which freaks me out a little. Manager is nice and breakfast was good though they did not tell me I could get a capicino or espresso which I quickly ordered after someone else. Otherwise, they have Nescafé as American coffee but it was not hot. One other point- when you get to town park your car and walk to the reception. My GPS messed up and it took us on a street too narrow for our comfort and we walked forever to find the check in as the sign is hard to see.

My wife had always wanted to stay in a trulli house and here we had the chance to make this happen. We stayed in one for two nights and it was very relaxing (provided you remembered to duck occasionally due to the low ceiling in the small kitchen area). Breakfast was served in the main reception and was a good continental style eat as much as you want buffet. Parking for bikes was provided, there were several cyclists staying here, probably doing the same round trip as we were. It certainly was different, but enjoyable.

Extremely unusual "hotel" consisting of different Trulli buildings on streets around the Reception (another Trulli). So, not a tradition hotel-with-rooms, more a collection of different addresses. Each Trulli unique, so they all vary. Mine was lovely, three rooms, incl kettle/kitchenette, lounge area, bedroom, lovely bathroom with good powerful shower. I also had an area with sun loungers out the back! Breakfast good, served in Reception Trulli. Lots of fresh fruit, cereals, breads, cheese, cold meat, hard-boiled eggs, yogurt, walnuts. Might feel a bit lonely if you are on your own a way from Reception. Quite a lot of sightseers looking in your window at times!!!

We loved Alberobello and staying in a Trulli. It was more spacious than we imagined and very comfortable right in the heart of the historic town. Lovely breakfast provided. Recommended! Staff helped us with bags to our room. No parking on site. Good wifi. Very professional
