The rooms in the hotel, in our wing at least, have been renovated and not that long ago. Our room was nonsmoking. The rooms looked better than the other travellers' pictures. The hotel rooms look like budget hotel rooms and don't have log walls. The walls had some scuffs, but the paint isn't old, the tiles in the hall and...

This center was open during the Soviet times just before the 1980 Olympics, held in Moscow, to put up foreigners visiting the Russian capital and the so-called 'Golden Ring' towns. Then it looked like a modern Russian "terem" (a fairy-tale palace or mansion) and it also became the site of numerous movies set there in the Soviet times. But the...

Nicely located hotel with nice open grounds and a river to explore along with a bridge and path to a nearby Monastery which has been converted into a museum. The hotel restaurant provides good but basic food and is one of the few air conditioned areas of the hotel which gives a nice break from the heat. The room I...

The room had no air conditioning installed at all, and the window would only tilt in slightly, maybe because we were on the ground floor. The heated towel rack put out a lot of heat. It was a hot, unpleasant night. If we had been there during cool weather, I would still only give it a 3, or average rating....

Stayed there for 3 days while attending a conference which was taking place at the same place. It was in May, the weather was very hot. I am usually objective with my reviews but this stay was really terrible. So, the rooms are old typical old, soviet rooms. Bathroom always smelled, and changing the room did not help. No Internet...

Stayed at motel for two nights ... This place will always be full of surprises !!!! One year it is awfull the next it is the best. This year was the "next" ... Yes, we really loved it. The motels were well renovated with a small but clean and well maintained bathroom (shower) on the ground floor and two rooms...

Large complex, with main building of immense size. What can I say - for high price (by Russian countryside measures) the doubtful comfort. Units of bed design (room updatirs and sanitary units downstairs). Restaurants in the main building. Bad quality food, with the bed arrangement of tables. Overall - bad experience. But no doubt - location and surroundings will attract...

What a throw back to the Brezhnev era. The hotel is a sprawling complex used in Soviet times for conferences (it's only about 35 yrs old tho). Took about 8 minutes just to walk to the restaurant. Front desk staff are rude- not just the typical Russian cold, but rude. Laughed at my halting Russian, but refused to speak English...

The hotel feels like a Soviet hotel where families would come for a week or weekend to chill out and have their holiday. The hotel is very big, has spacious rooms, all very clean, a huge breakfast room, welcoming reception staff, a bank on site. And is also only a 15-20min walk to the main street. The location itself feels...
