Bring your own soap. Yes, they do not replace it and during a e.g. week-long stay, house call is once. The bigger flat w. two bedrooms is OK, sea view is there but behind palm trees. Soundproofing is not to a level, which would prohibit sleeping after 2½hrs sleep well, when upstairs starts to have noise in the middle of the night. Sauna is there and it is hot enough. Not very big and really not advertised, it is between the locker rooms of the fitness room (no free feights, i.e. not a gym). Both close at 19.00 which means, that e.g. a day trip to Gibraltar would jeopardize a nice sauna moment if one doesn't hurry. Staff was friendly and I was never left hanging in the few occasions when I reached the guest services. Except of course when asking for a soap when the portions provided by the hotel run out on the 4th night and the Supermarket was already closed. Breakfeast menu was not plentifull, a full English breakfast (vegan option provided) was pretty much the same but during our week it maybe was still enough. One can vary and in the end, the service was good and fruits and breads good/very good. We have not had gluten-free bread so good before. The beds were hard and do not correspond to the other level of the facilities. Yes, one could sleep in those, but nowadays normal hotels even have softer beds. February was probably slow, the parking space was waiting for us every time we drove in. That's luxury in the Malaga-Fuengirola region. Mirador is a walking distance (20-30 min?) and everything is there. Not cheap in any way, but also coming with a free parkin space (lux). In the end, would I return to Wyndham's? I came due to their January net-offer (-40%), and would have appreciated purchasing a Half Board, but it was refused to be sold on top of my B&B-reservation. I guess there are no reasons per se to stay out and overall price/quality was OK. + Parking availability in February. + Sam's pizza, not the cheapest, not the most expensive, but excellent and so fast delivery; no extra charge for gluten-free pizza(!!). + Working sauna, hot enough. + Fittness room, no free weights but in the end, you could do something always. + Location is fairly good, next to the beach and highway. - No Half-Board -option for the one's who made a B&B -booking. - No replacements of soaps. - The 5.1 Sony home theatre system was probably 25 years old, probably working but being an analog system (haven't seen those for ages), totally useles. I would have liked to be able to play my music via the already installed speaker system, but it was not possible. Maybe acquire even a cheapest possible DAC & amplifier..? - Heating system was working, but woke us all in 6AM when it started really working. This is probably fault of the user, but good to be aware.

Fabulous views positive and some negatives! Lovely spacious appartment great views positive bit outdated but all good to what needed really lovely. Resort massive and heated pool lovely slightly small but nice to have with lovely views. Reception was pleasant helpful Lori- asked about buses etc helpful. Restaurant, el tajo great staff friendly and good sangria! Sam's pantry lovely bakery reasonably priced as was supermarket on site. Lovely clean surroundings huge resort bit out but we were aware of this - but everything there needed. Negative- floor not cleanest in appartment needs good clean and half packet biscuits in cupboard?? Wanted to charge 30 euros to keep room on for 2 hours even though not very busy and maids knocking on door at 10am on departure day we were ready at the door but felt rushed out because she wanted to get in I understand that need to clean but starring at us whilst we tried to round her. Be better if had luggage storage at guest services Ramada rather than having to go to main reception.

If you're going by Bus, continue along the walkway beside the Dual Carriageway, DON'T GO UP THE SLOPE or up the side of the BP filling station. Fabulous apartment, lovely views (we paid a little extra for a sea view), comfy bed. TV with USB Socket, DVD Player and a Stereo also. When we had difficulty with an appliance the Maintenance man was there in minutes, he was helpful, spoke reasonable English and had it sorted quickly. Fancy Induction Hob had a very strange single 'Touch Control' panel and 'Locked Itself' for safety and there was a weird Switch On process which I never quite got the knack of (we used it three times). Could've done with instructions or in an ideal world, proper knobs for each 'Ring' My partner was quite upset by the check in experience, the Check In area appeared to be under-manned, even on a Monday afternoon in January, the Check In process was slow and the surly, perhaps stressed Check In person (initials AD) both ignored my questions as if having not heard me, and gave his attention unmprompted to the other staff member who was dealing with a complaint and appeared to be perfectly capable. We were fortunate in that we had quite a short wait, but by the time he had finished checking us in, the queue behind us was at least 3 sets of holiday persons. We also went to the 'Wrong' Reception, but that was our fault, where we felt that the single person there should've at least 'acknowledged' our presence with a nod or a simple "I'll be With you as soon as I can" being busy with someone else at the time Website states Beach is 8mins walk, but we found it to be less, easily done in 6mins at a normal 50-something pace. Photos show The correct reception The BP filling station at which to get off the Bus ("El Castillo") Spacious lounge / dining area (whole apt very spacious) Our Balcony with view

We booked this about 3 weeks before going .we arrived Xmas eve and left 5th January it a gorgeous place very big complex apartments are fully equipped even include a washing machine . We had a few towel changes but in the 12 days there we didn’t get the apartment cleaned once but we found cleaning products and brooms etc so did it ourselves which wasn’t ideal but we got on with it ! Food & drinks are available from the many restaurants & bars and there’s also a delivery service with a small charge …a little expensive but handy if you can’t or don’t want to venture out . There is also a little shop across the road that sells all sorts (bit expensive but lovely fresh produce) There is a little train that goes all around the complex free of charge but we couldn’t seem to catch it in time . There are plenty of pools in different areas 1 heated and a small jacuzzi . Downside it’s far away from fuengarola 10 minutes in a car but about an hours walk , local buses (bus stops about 10 minutes walk away but we didn’t use them as we weren’t sure where they were going etc ) taxis are reasonable reception will call you one …we found it was around £5-£6 There is a huge indoor shopping center with all different shops cafes & restaurants there’s even a Burger King & primark . The Carrefor hyper market is huge and great for buying all your foods and toiletries and is at the back of the shopping center there’s also a taxi rank outside to take you back or anywhere else you wish to go . All in all we had a lovely time we didn’t use the bars as we aren’t drinkers so I can’t comment on them . The staff we came across were generally helpful & friendly and we were left alone pretty much the whole time we were there . I found it hard in some areas as I’am disabled and use a crutch .we had stairs to get up to our apartment which wasn’t ideal but we managed! Our apartment looked out to the sea which was lovely . I wouldn’t recommend it to wheelchair users as it would be hard to get around. If I had to score out of ten I’d say 8/10 well worth a visit !

I saw some pictures of nice fresh apartments on the website, and thought I have been in the area, did not connect to the huge colossal resort area I have passed on my way to Marbella. This place is huge and probably does have the nice modern apartments somewhere, but the ones we ended up were a bit too realistic flash back to family trips back in the 90's. The "private whirlpool" was an absolute joke, breakfast worse than at Ibis, the pool was slimy and our sea view also included a sand pit and a highway in the between . We left early and changed to another hotel.

Dear Guest We are very sorry to hear that your experience did not live up to expectations or to our usual high standards. As you stated, we are a large resort and we offer over 40 different accommodation choices to suit all tastes and budgets. When booking your stay you should have seen images of the accommodation type you selected and our website also includes a section showing all of the available room types and areas available. The hot tub suites are very popular with guests and I cannot understand your comment that the hot tub was a joke. All pools are regularly cleaned and maintained and breakfast at Safari is of a high standard with an extensive continental buffet and freshly cooked hot options to order. Kind regards

I booked this getaway to Wyndham San Diego Suites, through Interval International and wasn't expecting much, but boy was I pleasantly surprised. The apartment was perfect with wonderful views down to the ocean. A large kitchen area with everything you could need and a good size dining/living area with a comfortable sofa bed (which needed to be used a couple of times because of snoring)! The only negative I would say was that the cleaning staff didn't visit very often (only once in the week we were there) but we're not very messy so it didn't bother us. There are plenty of pools to sit around and good places to eat - Safari was our favourite. There is also a supermarket on site which has everything you could wish for. Its also close enough to the beach for a little stroll and there is a fantastic restaurant right there which is open for lunch and dinner and serves fantastic food. All in all a brilliant week's holiday and I can thoroughly recommend this wonderful resort.

Was given a studio bedroom in San Diego Suites (don't get fooled by the label, they are not deluxe). However, mine was nicely decorated but with no sun at all. I was there for work, and there was heating, so other than the fact that the clothing required much longer to dry, I didn't mind. The wifi works well, other than sometimes in the evening when most guests are using it. The bathroom had a very foul smell, probably from pipes, which might need to be addressed. I was lucky, as other rooms did not have the same style of decoration (outdated furnishings and some other rooms have too many pieces of furniture for the small studio... loose the grid, pal, follow that advice!) There is a lovely breakfast in another building nearby and a bar onsite. One heated pool in the nearby building and another pool onsite. There is also a gym, which closes perhaps a bit too early (7pm - I would say, keep it open until 9 or 10pm, the staff can clean it the next day easily).

Our stay was ok, our room was decoratively very good, but the furniture and appliances need updating, it was like a walk back in time. The restuarants and shop on site are quite over priced. Not great menus, very short. The train that takes you around the site is poor, it breaks down regularly and can leave you stranded, it's not ideal, it stops operating at certain times throughout the day which is ridiculous, they need another train and driver to make it work. Staff were lovely, pool was lovely but needed repairs within it and around the sun bed areas , not major, just not what a 4 star resort should be like. Awkward to book in and out due to lack of information supplied where to get you cab to take you or pick you up, need clear addresses for the cab firms. Hot tub on our balcony was tested every day a lovely and clean. Wild boars roam the site at night so be careful of those. The location of the complex is a bit far out from the facilities external to the site and you'll need to walk for a fair while or get a cab to get to bars and restaurants off site. The local beach is not what we would like, by a main road and huge walls with graffiti on again you'd need to walk a fair way to get to feungirrola beaches where you can hire a sunbed. Hope this helps

Dear Guest Thank you for taking the time to share a review. Your feedback has been noted and will be addressed. Our maintenance team are constantly working to maintain the high standards our guests expect but we have a large complex and certain works can only be completed at off peak times of the year to ensure minimal disturbance to guests. Our Main Reception address is included on all confirmation emails and we have made local taxi drivers aware of the Reception location for check-in. We apologise if this was not the case for your driver; the new Main Reception has only been operational this year so it is taking some getting used to. We hope to see you again soon. Kind regards

What's happened to Wyndhams Residence on Costa del Sol. Been using this resort for years - Club La Costa in it's previous life. Always first class accommodation and great customer service. OK we book via Interval International as a Getaway break, but the quality of the apartments were always good. The latest stay was disappointing to say the least. Tiny two bedroomed apartment - damaged furniture, limited kitchen facilities and constant noise from builders store below. The decor is the same as it was 10 years ago. Believe Wyndhams are placing timeshare clients in the older, inferior units that are awaiting refurbishment. Totally unacceptable - when complaints made, no response. In the scheme of things they won't be bothered if we do not return, but feel the need to report this shabby outfit

Amazing hotel - pool area is clean and gets the sun all day, huge resort with multiple restaurants and pools onsite. Gets the sun all day and the staff are lovely. The accommodation is spacious and clean, an ideal stay for comfort. Arrived in the afternoon greeted by a porter to carry our bags straight to our doorstep. There is a train on site that does a circuit of the resort every 45 mins to get the guests around for free as it’s so big. Only downside is the location as it’s quite a walk from fuerngirola town and not near much, but a lot onsite that you won’t need to venture out if you don’t need to. Highly recommend this hotel and defintely will be returning!
