Our family of two adults, a 7.5 year old and a 5 year old stayed in a swim up room on a self catering basis during the first two weeks of August.

We previously stayed at the hotel in May 2019. Back then, we chose a roof terrace room with a jacuzzi which was perfect for the cooler evening temperatures in May so we used the jacuzzi every evening. We went for a swim up room in August so we could go in and out of pool right outside our room helping us to keep cool during the wall to wall sunshine and heat during the height of the Spanish summer.

The swim up room was great for the age of our kids. It meant they could go in and out of the pool to the room for snacks, drinks, toys, toilet etc. My wife and I wouldn't be far away as our deck outside the room had 2 sun beds, a table and 3 outdoor chairs plus a hammock to relax in so we could keep an eye on them from the deck if we weren't in the water with them. (Tip: remember sandals or sand shoes as the deck is roasting on bare feet during direct sunshine.)

The room had a kitchenette with kettle, toaster, coffee maker, microwave, fridge with small freezer box, a hob with two rings, plenty of crockery/cutlery/utensils/glasses/pots & pans etc. There's a small table in the living area for 3 chairs around it or 4 people can eat outside at the table on the deck. We managed to cook pasta for our dinner on a few nights as well as making our breakfast and lunch no problem. The hotel shop has a good selection and fair prices compared to the Mercadona along the road (5 min walk). We used the shop for our milk, water, bread etc (tip: the cheaper 6L bottles of water at 1.95 euros is at the back of the shop) whilst the Mercadona was good for bulk purchases (e.g. sun tan lotion much cheaper than hotel shop with a 400ml bottle of Garnier costing 10 euros).

Rooms are of a good standard although not a modern finish. Flat screen TVs in living area and bedroom with UK channels like CBEEBIES, BBC and ITV. Our room was cleaned daily and sheets changed every few days. Air con worked no problem for us and we didn't experience any power cuts. Beds were comfy. It was a sofa bed with another pull out bed underneath and they were good sized comfortable single mattresses for the age of our children. If you need to use the safe inside the wardrobe, you need to pay for this and get a key from reception.

Large bathroom with both a bath that had a shower head for washing the kids and a shower cubicle with rain shower and shower head for adults. There is a hairdryer in the room. There is a laundry room downstairs below reception if needed where you can also find an iron and iron board.

WiFi was pretty good where we were except some patchy coverage out on the deck at night when there was high usage by everyone no doubt and we were further away from the routers inside.

Pools are great for kids our age. In the mornings, we mainly went to the splash pool by the pirate ship or to the main pool with the wet bar. Or we went to the beach (10 minutes away - see separate review). The Mini Club Activity Centre is next to the splash pool by the pirate ship in case you want to base yourself close to it when kids are at Mini Club.

Room 3007 that we were in gets the shade in the morning so we went back to the room and used the swim up pool area in the afternoon sun. Back in May 2019, we also used their indoor heated pool (downstairs below reception next to the gym) but not needed on this visit!

It was inflatable central when we were here! But great to see many people leave all their plastics behind so others could re-use them. We did the occasional check by the entrances of accommodation blocks and picked up a parasol and kid's body board which we used on the three times we visited the beach. (Tip: the hotel shop has a machine for blowing up inflatables where you can also top up air if needed.) At the end of our holiday, instead of leaving them for other hotel guests, we took our inflatables to reception as they put them in their luggage room for the local kids - we figured most hotel guests can afford theirs whereas we wanted to donate them locally if we could.

Towels did go down on sun beds around 07:30 (when breakfast buffet starts) which is expected during the summer. Pools vary from 1m, 1.2m to 1.5m deep. Our 5 year old didn't enjoy the deeper pools as much as he was a little bit short to touch the bottom of the pool so had to tread water a lot. He did like the wet bubble and went jumping on there. Though it was a bit kamikaze at times and he went under and had his goggles forced off his head when a teenager landed on him! Lifeguards at each swim area which is good.

Slides on the pirate ship were pretty good for the age of our children. Bigger kids and adults can try the 'pendulum' next to the pirate ship which is only open 2 hours a day - it's okay but would be better if they had some larger water slides and/or lazy river for the big kids. I doubt we'd choose this hotel once our kids are teenagers due to lack of activities for them (plus the bed set up).

They have mini golf, some trampolines, football Astro pitch, pony rides, small cinema room and the entertainment team organise pool activities which all ages can enjoy. There's a couple of pool tables and arcade type machines.

Our kids went to Mini Club crafts a few times which they enjoyed and the staff are excellent. They also did the Medal game so they could get their Yzzy medal.

We went to a few shows during the evening entertainment - Spanish dancers, magician, circus and the Von Bros band which were all really good. There wasn't a children's disco before dinner this summer - that's been moved to 17:00 in the splash pool by the pirate ship which wasn't the best. I agree with a lot of reviews that it's nice to see children up dancing on stage before the evening entertainment to make it a family evening. The children do get to see Yzzy for 10 mins in the evening by the stage so they can get photos with him and parents can buy the merchandise. Then they put out little chairs and the children sit at the front for the adult show. You can imagine the comings and going's all evening with either children getting up or parents going down to check on kids in the dark right in front of the stage so both the performers must get distracted and for us adults watching the show it's distracting.

Drinks service for us was good in the evening and waiters very attentive and speedy so we didn't need to queue at the bar. I'd say you need to be at the outdoor theatre by 19:45 to get a seat or put something down on the chairs to reserve it (like towels on sun beds!) when busy. Which makes it a long time sitting doing nothing as Yzzy doesn't appear until 20:20/30 and the show doesn't start until 21:00 (if on time!). So we brought games like Uno to keep the kids entertained. Bizarrely, they also wait to do kid's face painting at 21:00 when the show starts when they could do this between 20:00 and 21:00. We didn't stay beyond 22:00 but entertainment continued with quizzes etc. (Tip: I would recommend insect repellent in the evenings especially, although I seemed to be unlucky and pick up bites on my body during the day too.)

As we were self catering we had breakfast and lunch on our terrace and mainly ate in Can Picafort walking 10 minutes to the centre or taking the land train to eat at the restaurants near the harbour - see separate reviews. We ate a few times at the a la carte restaurant by the pool and it was okay, standard hotel food at a reasonable price.

The grounds are well maintained and you don't feel like you're in a massive resort or have to walk ages or wait for lifts to get anywhere. It's a great hotel and staff are excellent throughout the hotel, greeting guests and doing their best to make it a wonderful stay.

We booked directly with the hotel on this occasion due to COVID uncertainties so could cancel week/days before if needed. Received a lovely bottle of red wine from the hotel which was a bonus! Booked our flights direct with Jet2 and no problems at all with them - a very pleasant and reliable experience. We booked a taxi from the airport to the hotel (and back) using Solhop which we found on the Palma airport website. 99 euros each way which included booster seats for both kids. It was a plush Mercedes people carrier with aircon so very comfortable door to door. Good communication from Solhop who texted the driver's number a few days before arriving in Palma in case we needed it. Last time, we did the airport transfer bus with Jet2 Holidays and it took forever! 40 minutes transfer time by taxi this time.

I highly recommend this hotel for the beautiful setting, room types, facilities, pool, great staff, good quality food & drink, location within walking distance of Can Picafort, cleanliness and value for money. I hope you have a great stay. Enjoy!

We were so excited when the transfer bus pulled up as it’s about an hour from the airport and we weren’t disappointed. It was bright, clean and beautiful from the moment we stepped into the resort. We stayed for a week and every day there was a team of site staff keeping the place squeaky clean. The pools were really good for my 9 year old and offered lots to keep him busy with a bouncy dome, slides and fun pools. It didn’t feel tacky or over crowded, just calm and well organised. It may have been quiet because of the Covid restrictions (amber when we travelled) but we got sun loungers each day and we felt we had lots of space around us. I hate it when it’s too crowded so we thought it was perfect.

The staff were helpful and the service was good. The eating areas were clean and the decor felt classy and well thought out. The food was nice, as you’d expect for an all inclusive 4* but we loved the table service and cocktails each evening in the entertainment area. There was a show each night that varied in quality but it was punctual and didn’t go on into the night and disturb people. It was between 9-10 so things were nice and quiet on the resort by 11.

We went for a roof room with jacuzzi. To be honest we barely used it as we were out each day, quick shower and tea and then to the entertainment so we would have preferred A swim up ground room as it would have been easier to nip to the room and get stuff. The room was clean if not a little dated. The furnishings were average but the bed was huge and comfortable. There was no lock to the roof door and patio which concerned me as staff have access to the roof areas to service the jacuzzis so in theory they have access to your room. I just didn’t like that with a child sleeping in it so we propped a chair against the door.

There isn’t much out and about to do. The local town is a bit grubby and the beaches are so crowded. Lovely clear seas and white sand but if you like a bit of space around you it is not for you! We went early and were quickly surrounded by people. People were putting towels down between sun beds so you had to literally step over people to get anywhere. There are also a lot of topless people if that bothers you. It is about 13 euros for a bed on the beach but it does have a useful lock box so you can all head off into the sea.

There is a much nicer beach in Alcudia near the port side that is great for families with shalllow seas and more space. We took a boat trip out from the port and that was a lovely day! Take a trip to old alcudia too as it is so quaint and has lovely tapas places down the quieter side streets.

All in all a great resort and the weather was gorgeous. I wouldn’t go again as 7 days was enough to see all the area had to offer but I’d highly recommend as a nice place to stay if you’ve not done this area before.

We spent the last week of October here and admittedly it has been one of the top 3 hotels we've ever stayed at.

We stayed in a "standard" room, which was a 1 bedroom apartment, it came with its own basic kitchen which has a microwave, 2 burner hob and a fridge. The room was rather big in size and has a sofa bed in the living room. There is also a separate shower and bath.

The room was everything we needed, however, I don't think it's worth the extra to upgrade to a "swim up" room as the swim up pool was freezing cold and anyone could use it anyway.

There is a pool bar serving food and drinks during the day and they have a bar menu for food, this menu is free if your all inclusive and is much better quality food than the buffet restaurant.

The alcoholic drinks are branded so if your staying all inclusive, your guaranteed your favourite drink. The lager on draught is Estrella. The cocktails are also pretty amazing, however they are very sweet and full of sugar, drink them in moderation.

The buffet restaurant was pretty much standard for all inclusive, although the choice shortened throughout the week as less and less people were at the hotel, the staff that work in there were amazing and friendly and worked really hard to keep the place clean.

We arrived at the end of October for Half Term and I did find this to be the worst time to arrive for a holiday, as the week went on, the hotel was physically closing around us. The swim up bar was closed all week, and midway through the week, the buffet restaurant closed for lunch, forcing you to use the pool bar for food. The onsite Cinema was never open whilst we stayed and the shop next door barely had anything worth opening for.

The facilities of the hotel are amazing for families, the splash pool will keep the little ones busy all day, whilst there are things for teenagers to do poolside too with the big boomerang slide and inflatable bubble pool.

All in all, it's a great hotel, however, I wouldn't recommend visiting the last week in October, if you can, spend that little bit extra and come in the summer months, where the pools will feel less like ice, and all the features of the hotel will actually be available.

Getting away in a pandemic we knew it may be a bit different to usual trips but the issues with this hotel are no doubt to be blamed on Covid but really more long-standing than that and made for a disappointing 2 weeks given the high cost of the holiday.

Our royal terrace room had a hot tub without lid and an unlock-able and non closing door out to the terrace, meaning our young children could access the hot tub from their sleeping area (the living room) without hinderance, this is an accident waiting to happen. Complained to reception and Tui to be told they only had 1 key to the door and it took 3 days to find it.

The restaurant, bar and bistro staff weren’t particularly friendly and seem to go out of their way avoid eye contact, meaning ordering can take a long time. Once ordered the lunch Bistro food or bar drinks arrived swiftly and are good quality but ordering was a frustrating process daily.

The buffet has no Covid safety other than approx 5 hand sanitizer stations, we didn’t see any additional cleaning or utensils being changed more frequently than usual. Food at the buffet was repetitive and unimaginative but fine. Something to note was that tableware was often badly washed and dirty.

The pool bubble was particularly badly managed often with drunk adults or overcrowded meaning it was unsafe for young children who constantly got wiped out, little was done to manage this. Our 5 & 3 yr old barely used the inflatable bubble due to this. Good to see towels on reserved sun loungers being cleared if not in use after 40 mins but this was inconsistent so some days getting a lounger was a struggle after 9am.

Kids club was unavailable except for 1 hour a day, no explanation for this was given but unacceptable if this is covid related given they are happy to pack large groups of kids in for 1 hour but not smaller groups for longer.

The hotel is average and we won’t be rushing back here but on the whole had an positive holiday in the sun and a smooth time through airports both UK and Mallorca.

We had not booked here but with TUI cancelling the original holiday we had booked we transferred here with just over a week to go.

From the moment we arrived in reception we were greeted with amazing service from reception clearly explaining opening times and explaining where to go for a very late lunch. They phoned us as soon as our room was ready too.

Arriving 20/7 it was noticeably quieter the 1st week but has since got busier. However, all the staff from the cleaners to waiters/waitresses and the bar staff all away hola and work tirelessly to keep the place spotless and deliver amazing customer service.

We booked a Premium 1 Bedroom Apartment with Balcony or Terrace and it was spacious, had a separate bathroom and living room and well equipped kitchenette area with fridge (with mini freezer), 2 electric rings, microwave and cooking utensils. We didn’t need this all inclusive but it was nice to have.

We got 2 a la carte dinners included in all inclusive but the others were a well stocked serve yourself restaurant. You need to wear masks in reception and while in the dining area fetching your food. The vegetarian choice was very restrictive but ok if you are pescatarian. There is a beautiful pool bar for lunches in the shade too.

As usual the pool areas get busy so you need to put towels out. For kids the children’s sport and fun team led by Estevan is exceptional. They will love nightly shows, activities plus a daily pirate disco in a beautiful splash area.

Lovely, albeit skinny, beach 15mins walk and supermarket 5min walk.

We have been very disappointed booking with TUI with so little comms, no hotel specific information from a Covid restriction point of view and a horrific 2.5hr bus transfer (this hotel is 50mins from the airport) but this is no reflection on this amazing hotel.

Just got back from a holiday in the middle of May we were really looking forward to our stay after looking at the great reviews but was a little disappointed. Check in was easy and the room was nice with a large balcony we had a 1 year old and the travel cot provided was immaculate for 4 euros a night so we couldn't complain however aircon in the room was non existant. After speaking to other families it seemed theirs was the same we asked at the hotel reception why it wasn't on and they said they only have the heating on this time of year bearing in mind it was around 29 degrees during the day! After our first night we were told the aircon would now be switched on which lasted for a day then went back to being warm so we resorted to leaving the balcony doors open as it was cooler outside than in! Breakfast was great something for everyone it's nice that they have plastic cutlery for children. The children's pool looked fantastic but was absolutely baltic! My child cried everytime we went in it as it was too cold which was a real shame the main pool isn't warm but definitely wasn't as cold. The room looked clean but after my child had been crawling around on the floor he was covered in dust and bits there was a sweeping brush in the room but the last thing you want to do whilst on holiday is clean. The bed sheets were made every other day but were never changed which was annoying as there was sand in it. Also after we used the sink in the kitchen there was an unpleasant smell coming from it. We couldn't use all of the plug sockets in the room as some were old and plugs would hang out. Evening entertainment was good and went on until late the beach is just a ten minute straight walk from the hotel no taxi needed and the is also a lidl a few minutes taxi ride away. Overall a decent hotel but more suited for 4 years plus children.

We are a family of four, 2 adults, 2 children who were 7 and 4

This is a difficult review, as we did really enjoy the holiday, in some areas it was let let down, meaning it wouldn’t be my first choice to stay here again …

Positives
Super child friendly
Good Buffet choices
Cocktail/bar choices are excellent for an all exclusive. The bar staff were highly attentive and couldn’t fault them.
Pool bar was excellent for a lunch option. Proper meals to choose from, table service. We chose tho eat here for lunch most days.
Pools were plentiful and catered for all. Our kids 7& 4 loved the chill out pool (and so did we) because it was warm and shallow enough for them to play in. The kids pool with all the slides etc was cold and our kids had no desire to play in it !

Negatives
Housekeeping - we only had two visits from housekeeping in our 7 day visit. Despite being out all day. No towel change. No linen changes. Our room was in need of a clean by the end of our stay! We didn’t inform reception because we had hoped that the housekeeping would attend…
Kids entertainment - kids disco has been moved to 5 pm IN the kids pool, which is far too early and not an appropriate place (literally in the pool!) for a kids mini disco. Our children are slightly older, 7 & 4 so it wasn’t an issue for them to stay up till 830 when a small amount of kids entertainment came on ( saying hello to Yzzy) but most didn’t start until 10pm + which was disappointing as our kids love a mini disco and generally makes their holiday
Rooms desperately need an update, even just a lick of paint! Within out sink area plaster had crumbled off and onto the floor because we had no housekeeping it wasn’t cleaned up for days I ended up cleaning it up myself.
Those bloody sugar straws!!!!!! Yes, I get it, they’re completely environmentally friendly but they attracted the wasps!! We ended up not ordering sugary cocktails or drinks to avoid having a sugar straw!

Overall, the hotel was nice, and we had a lovely holiday and the kids absolutely loved it! But for as as parent, paying for it… it’s not good value for money. It was a lovely break, but it wasn’t anything stand out amazing about it, that would make us go back again. We have stayed in similar star hotels before that were worth every star.

Thank you for a lovely break and I hope that the list raised above are taken onboard.

We have just returned from a week in Can Picafort. Fortunately we chose to get a taxi from the airport (€85) as we had read that the Tui coach transfer can take so long. So glad we did this.

The rooms are very average and basic. Ours was clean and quiet but I had heard from others that their rooms were very dirty and they had to be moved. Luckily the beds were comfy. Our room was cleaned 5 days out of the 7 we were there.

The buffet restaurant had a good choice of food and it was usually hot. I believe that the hotel was full and there were a number of occasions where the queues were long and food had run out. You help yourself to drinks but it’s hit or miss if you will find a coffee machine or soft drink machine that was working. Breakfast was our favourite meal with so much choice.

The bar/entertainment area in the evening was a joke. 2 members of staff taking drink orders of several 100s of people. If you did manage to order it was unlikely you would end up with incorrect drinks. You could queue at the bar but it could take over 30mins to be served. The terrible evening entertainment started at 9pm but if you were not seated by 8.15pm you could not get a seat.

As an all inclusive guess we had dinner in the pool bar one evening. We enjoyed this and had a lovely meal however others had long waits and the food was often frozen.

The wet bar was ok but had long queues for drinks. The soft drinks were from a tap and were often very sweet or lacking fizz!

The pool areas were lovely with plenty of sun beds. Pool towels are provided but can only be changed on a Monday, Wednesday or Friday.

We did not think much of the area. The beach was busy and there seemed to be a problem with seaweed. The sea water was brown and it was smelly.

All in all we enjoyed our trip however we would not return. I felt I spent the majority of the holiday queuing for drinks, food and pool towels.

We stayed here in Mid October 2021 (2 adults, 1 child aged 10). We booked self-catering and an apartment with a private terrace which includes a jacuzzi. When we first arrived it took a long time to check in as it was a very slow process which wasn't ideal after a long journey but they were friendly enough. The apartment itself was clean and tidy and we were delighted with the living area, master bedroom, balcony and terrace. The downsides of the apartment were the kitchenette which was tiny and didn't really give you the opportunity to cater for yourself with only 2 rings and no grill or cooker. The bathroom was nice and we loved the shower but the shower door did nothing to prevent water coming out from under it and daily soaking the whole floor. These however were minor inconveniences and didn't affect my rating of this hotel/ complex. The other slight fly in the ointment so to speak was the fact we were all covered in bites every morning. I couldn't find the culprits but they must have been in the rooms. My son slept on the pull out in the living room but as there was no door between this area and the sink area this meant going to the bathroom in the night was difficult without light and noise pouring into his sleeping area and you couldn't use the kitchenette for the same reason. It would be improved by adding a door between the living area and the sink and bedroom/bathroom access areas, and having a dividing wall so you could access kitchen without disturbing anyone sleeping in the living area on the pull out bed. We did consider switching but it would have been difficult for 2 adults to sleep comfortably on the sofa bed.

There were several pools which were very nice to look at and an ideal depth for my child as it was the same depth for the whole pool. There was a deeper pool for adults and a more shallow pool for toddlers. It was reassuring to know my child couldn't wander off into the 'deep end'. The main child's pool had a large inflatable bubble which was a big hit and provided hours of fun. However, neither of us adults were able to bring ourselves to use any of the pools as they were absolutely freezing 🥶 like someone had been tipping bags of ice in them. There was plenty of available seating around the pool and shade was also available. It was a nice environment to sit around in.

Although self-catering so we were mostly eating out at the beach front we did make use occasionally of the restaurants on site and they were reasonable. The food selection was limited for the poolside restaurant but the buffet had a great array of different foods and options which were mainly nice although the food all required a great deal more seasoning.

The guests were largely from Germany and this was true across the whole resort. This was clearly the main nationality of tourists and much of the food and information catered to this. The only problem this presented was for my Son who wasn't able to make any friends around the pool as a none German speaker, and in hindsight I wish I had factored this in to my decision making.

It was a 10 minute walk to the beach which was beautiful and the resort had plenty to offer.

This hotel is pleasant and good for children and families, however the rooms are very dated and I found ours unclean even after the maids had been in. Towels were only changed on our last day (a 10 day holiday) and sheets were only changed once.
The food was ok, however once night we were served raw chicken which in fairness was dealt with quickly. The al La carte restaurant is basically the pool bar with table cloths on and serving frozen food.
The staff were pleasant but some restaurant staff were quite rude. For some ridiculous reason nowhere inside was air conditioned, surely this isn’t sanitary and not fair to expect people to eat while sitting in their own sweat.

I can’t see how this hotel was awarded 4 stars I’d give it a 3 star rating as apart from the facilities there’s nothing above average about it. Also half the facilities weren’t open. The drinks are watered down and it’s really frustrating that you are only allowed a glass in the bar at night everywhere else is paper cups.
