Our second holiday at the Zafiro Palmanova and WE WILL be returning in 2025... As others have said, the hotel itself is kept immaculately clean and tidy. The staff are superb, really attentive and friendly. We stayed all inclusive with children aged 15 and 12 and thought that the breakfasts and lunch Bistro 'a la carte' menu were our favourite meals. The evening buffet was well presented with a variety to keep us all happy. It was exceptionally quiet for the first couple of days of our stay and we noticed a difference in the restaurant when the hotel filled up later in the week. Nevertheless, this didn't cause us any issues either in the restaurant, bar or poolside. One of pleasant things about the hotel is that it has a mix of nationalities who holiday here. This is reflected in the culture and atmosphere of the hotel. We were worried that having 15 and 12 year old boys would mean that a single suite would be a bit cramped for us but the sofa and pull out beds suited them with absolutely no issues. The room was tidied every couple of days and new towels provided. Our room was in the 1st block and overlooked the car park and play area with a part sea and pool view. It was great. We heard absolutely no noise and had no disruption from the nearby building works. Work must have been taking place as we could see people on site from around 8am most days during the week but we wouldn't have known! Please don't let the construction work put you off. If you have any concerns perhaps email the hotel beforehand. Location of the hotel is great. A short walk to the beach, restaurant and shops. We booked a padel tennis court which was 5 mins walk away from the hotel. Hire of court, rackets and balls was reasonably priced. Pools were a little on the chilly side but on warm days this was a good thing. It didn't take you long to get used to the cool temparature and the pools were generally always busy. During the week of our stay we had 1 cloudy day and this was the only day we didn't go into the pool so I appreciate it may be weather dependent (particularly in early-season). The evening entertainment was suitable for all. The Kahoot games were good fun. Really enjoyed our second visit to the hotel and looking forward to coming again next year...

Hotel's Favourite
Arrived with my family of 10 adults and 3 children a treat in lieu of my husbands impending 60th birthday. A 5 day all inclusive holiday (2 adults of which had already arrived from Australia as a birthday surprise). Staff at reception went above and beyond in ensuring surprise went to plan. I had booked 1 swim up room and 3 pool view rooms and honestly could not have been allocated better rooms... We had room 1017...enviably the best room in the entire hotel.. Being an ex travel agent even I was super impressed. Next to kids water pool and bar.... this became the family party room. From our swim up pool to kids adventure pool and main pool with water pillow... amaaasing.....Our entire family young and old had an absolute ball. All staff from bar to restaurant to lifeguards to cleaners... Everyone a total credit to zafiro hotels cannot single anyone out. Restaurant and food varied and amazing.. Although we ate ala carte 1 night we were not overwhelmed.. Found it hard to beat main restaurant. Our one and only minor criticism was the nightly entertainment... Not great... Mibi bit of somethn for adults would be appreciated? . Possibly karaoke or somethn? But after an amazing family day at pool this was not a biggie . Zafiro.. Keep doing what you are doing.. Our family have already started a savings account for next years holiday.... (coz were not paying next time 🤣) Most defo be zafiro 👍.... Thank you so much for the amazing memories made......

Stayed here with my husband and daughter a few days ago for 6 nights. We booked a ‘penthouse suite’ which looked nothing like the pictures online, it was small and cramped, there is a double in the bedroom and then what can only be described as a camp bed in the living room, single very uncomfortable. The only heated pool was indoor but we paid for a holiday so tried to brave the outdoor pools, my daughter couldn’t stand how cold the pools were and frankly neither could we. We ate in the restaurant 3 times, breakfast, lunch and dinner and all were terrible. Tasteless, extremely busy and chaotic. We ate every night after this. Found a lovely restaurant called The Grill House. Found the reception staff extremely rude and unhelpful. We weren’t told where anything was or shown anything and they didn’t seem to want to talk or help. 1 lifeguard in particular was amazing, really helpful and friendly. Man with long hair always in a bun, didn’t catch his name. We had hoped this would be our yearly holiday place to return too but after our experience here we won’t be returning or recommending this hotel to anyone.

We booked all inclusive with swim up room and were not disappointed. The hotel and the room are lovely and all the facilities close by. Good quality all inclusive no substitutes , proper drinks and ice cream. Great staff and great service. 5 minute walk to beach and lovely location. Staff excellent and friendly . Buffet food good quality and variety. Only minor complaints restaurant bit hectic at busy time, one toaster at breakfast is ridiculous and needs amending. Room towels poor quality if you have space take your own.

Hotel rooms very nice. Penthouse aeeet could be a bit bigger, stayed with my 3 children and had 4 suitcases had to move them everyday to put on bed when kids was not on it and then back on floor when they go to bed. My room had a major ANT problem, they was everywhere crawling on bed and kitchen worktop and bathroom woke up and they wa son our covers. Also pools were so cold. The only warm one was the indoor pool which we didn’t not want to sit in there as we wanted sun but kids could not bear the cold pools. Would not be coming back.

Although the hotel's exterior initially left me underwhelmed, our experience inside surpassed all expectations, thanks to exceptional service and amenities. Check-in was a delight, with a warm and cheerful welcome from the staff, who were always ready to assist in perfect English. Our room was impeccably clean, providing a comfortable retreat despite a partial view of a neighbouring construction site it did not bother us at all. The evening sun on the balcony added to the charm, and noise from the nearby hotels entertainment ceased by 10:30 pm. Some rooms faced the pool, some faced the garden and some faced the car park or road. The pool facilities were exceptional, offering something for everyone in the family. We stayed over the April Easter holiday (sun every day 22-25c), so the outdoor heated kids' pool was a hit with my son, keeping him entertained for hours with its pirate ship and slides. While the layout made it easy to keep an eye on him while in the water, accessing the pirate ship required navigating through a less visible area, which could be a concern for some parents. On the other hand, my daughter thoroughly enjoyed the wet bubble pool, spending countless hours bouncing around. The presence of lifeguards at every pool, even during our April visit, provided added peace of mind. Their dedication to cleanliness was evident. Despite the occasional rush to reserve sunbeds in the mornings, we always managed to find a comfortable spot. The hotel provides pool towels. Overall, the pool area was a highlight of our stay, offering both relaxation and excitement for the whole family. Our dining experience was truly outstanding, with food that exceeded all expectations. The interactive cooking sessions, where chefs prepared meals right before our eyes, added an exciting element to our meals. While we primarily dined at the buffet, the option to order a la carte provided even more culinary variety. The dining area was impeccably maintained, with a continuous rotation of fresh and flavorful dishes for lunch and dinner. While breakfast offerings remained consistent, the indulgent pancakes, waffles and churros quickly became a holiday favourite for our children. Additionally, there were ample healthy and cooked options available for those with different preferences. The availability of fresh fruit was always plentiful. The hotel made commendable efforts to accommodate guests with food allergies, with clearly marked signs indicating allergen information available most of the time. However, there were occasional inconsistencies in the quality of signage, with some days showing more clarity than others. The attentive waiting staff deserves special mention for their tireless efforts, efficiently catering to drink orders and clearing plates with a welcoming smile from morning till night. The pool bar and lounge bar provided an extensive selection of premium drinks, including expertly crafted cocktails, served by friendly and accommodating staff who were always eager to engage in conversation and assist with any language barriers, further enhancing our experience. My children loved the self service ice cream machine, used throughout the day. Overall, this was undoubtedly one of the most memorable dining experiences we've had on holiday, thanks to the exceptional food, service, and ambiance. Entertainment - While we didn't partake in the entertainment offerings, they seemed well attended by younger children. However, improvements to the scheduling system could prevent guests from missing out on desired activities, we found the hotel app didn’t accurately reflect the activities available on the day, the app stated bracelet making on that day but it was t-shirt priming that actually occurred. Cleaning Team - The constant upkeep by the cleaning team was commendable, ensuring a pristine environment throughout our stay, the hotel is impeccably kept. Location - The hotel's location near a sandy beach was convenient, offering a sandy spot with clear water. However, clearer signage or instructions on accessing the beach could enhance the guest experience. Would I come back? Without hesitation, 100% yes. Quite likely one of the best holidays we’ve ever had, a hearty thank you Zafiro Palmanova.

The rooms are clearly advertised as having air conditioning and heating. It was abundantly clear on arrival that the cooling element of the air con wasn’t working in our room. It was a shock to discover that the hotel had disabled the whole air con element of the system across the whole hotel which the people on the front desk admitted when we asked to be moved. Despite our complaint, no alternatives or discounts were offered as apparently ‘ all hotels in the chain are doing the same thing.”Apologies not quite true. A massive industrial fan was offered which just blew hot air around the room and was far too noisy to even think about having on at night. It’s clear this is a cost saving exercise but more importantly, it is representation on a massive scale. It was 25-26 degrees whilst we were out there and with three people in a small apartment room, even with the windows open we couldn’t sleep on our 4 night short break. However, that’s not the point. Frankly, if you offer a service option, you cannot then decide whether the customer can have it or not, that’s up to the customer! Zafiro palma nova you advertise as a 4 star hotel. Sort this out!

Dear Nicola, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We are truly sorry to hear about the inconvenience you experienced with the air conditioning system. As we have informed you, our air conditioning system is centralized and works from the day we open the hotel untill the day we close. However, depending on the wheather conditions the system is blowing warm air or cold air. When we change from warm to cold air is normally decided by our guests who indicate us what they want. Although day temperatures have been very nice over the last week, in the night the temperature still dropped under 15 degrees celcius, and that is why most people still preffered the warm air. Normally we change during the month of april, but the date is different every year, depending on the temperatures and what the majority of our guests want. . Of course we understand that this is not the same for all our guests. I do want to make clear that this is certainly not a cost saving exersice, since the cost for heating is much higher than the cost for cooling the hotel. We understand that comfort is paramount, especially in the unique climate of our region, and we apologize for any discomfort you felt. Our aim is to provide a serene environment, and we are disheartened to learn that this was not the case for you. Please rest assured that we take all feedback seriously and continually seek ways to enhance our guest experience. Our staff is dedicated to providing friendly and accommodating service, and we hope that we were able to demonstrate this in other aspects of your stay. We truly value our guests and are committed to ensuring they feel supported throughout their visit. Please accept our apologies for not having lived up to your expectations and we hope to see you again for an improved experience. Best regards, Marco Heitinga Zafiro Palmanova, General Manager

Came here for all Inclusive seven day trip with my family, upon arrival we were told we had to book dinner reservations in the restaurants ahead of time. There was only one restaurant out of the 5 thatnwas open per night whilst we were there. However the first night we arrived the only restaurant that is available is fully booked so we offered a buffet. Staying at five star restaurant I don’t class buffet as five star service, we had lunch in the buffet and it was mediocre. Any other five star all inclusive resort I’ve stayed at there are people around the pool areas taking your orders for drinks and snacks. The idea of five star luxury is you are pampered and don’t have to get up and go wandering around looking for the bar areas.

Please be aware there is major building work going on immediately behind this hotel. It began Jan 24 and will continue until Nov 25. It is a significant development and our experience is tour operators are not being honest about the scale of the impact on holiday makers and the hotel themselves are completely silent on the issue. We booked through Jet2 who have been of little to no help in understanding what is going on or arranging alternative accommodation. The hotel have also not responded to our emails asking for further detail. The customer service from both parties has been terrible. Thankfully a quick web search reveals all. One of our group has a disability which means they struggle around loud noises. We have therefore been left with no option but to cancel our visit 7 weeks out and lose hundreds of pounds in the process. Terrible experience all round.

Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to share your concerns with us. We are genuinely disheartened to hear of the concern the nearby construction work has caused you. The visual impact is indeed present for a small percentage of our rooms, but we have taken measures to ensure our guests' comfort remains our top priority. While we have no control over external developments, we understand the importance of a serene environment, particularly for those with sensitivity to noise. We are keen to emphasize that strict local regulations are in place to minimize any disturbance, and we have been fortunate that, to date, our guests in-house have not reported discomfort due to noise. Our team is committed to providing transparent communication and we regret that you felt this was not reflected in your interaction with us. Please rest assured that we value our guests' experiences and the opportunity to address any issues they may encounter. Please accept our apologies for not having lived up to your expectations and we hope to see you again for an improved experience. Best regards, Marco Heitinga Zafiro Palmanova, General Manager

We had a fantastic 10-day trip to Palmanova during Easter 2024. Initially, we booked a ground-floor 2-bedroom room. We really liked the room, as it had two large bedrooms and a spacious and lovely patio with evening sun. However, after two days, we encountered significant issues with the AC, which meant we couldn't stay in the room any longer. The staff reacted quickly and were very helpful in washing all our clothes, upgrading us to two nice rooms, and providing all-inclusive services for the whole family. We were extremely grateful for this, so a big thank you to the lady at reception and the hotel manager. Overall, I would say the hotel is very clean and well-maintained, and the staff are very service-oriented and friendly. Everyone smiles and greets you when they see you. Our rooms were cleaned daily, and the cleaning staff were super sweet and friendly. We arrived on the day the hotel opened, and for the first few days, there were very few people at the hotel, which we really enjoyed. The food was very good, both breakfast, lunch, and dinner. However, we only had dinner once during these days, as we didn't quite like the atmosphere in the restaurant in the evening. It could have been cozier if they had dimmed the lights inside the restaurant and maybe played some music. If we were to mention a downside, it would have to be the temperature and cleanliness of the pool. All the pools were ice-cold, so none of us, adults or children, could swim in any of them. They claimed that the indoor pool was heated, and it might have been, but it was still very cold. This was a big disappointment for our daughter, who had been looking forward to swimming a lot. But apart from this, I would say we had a truly fantastic Easter holiday, thanks in part to the staff at the hotel.
