Had a relaxing fortnight at this hotel, the reception staff were very helpful when we arrived and made us feel very welcome. We paid the tourist tax of €72 for 2 weeks ( you can pay by cash or card ) We are a couple in our seventies and just wanted a nice place to enjoy this beautiful island, we were not disappointed. The hotel is in a great location, just a 10 minute walk to the beach and loads of shops , bars and restaurants on your doorstep. We were Half Board which suits us perfectly. The food was good, plenty of choices for breakfast and dinner, always found something we liked so never went hungry. We paid for all our drinks at dinner including bottled water ( you have the option to charge this to your room and pay at the end of your stay) we found this was usually the case in other hotels previously as well. We had a lovely room overlooking the pool, the bed was very comfy and the bathroom was quite big and spotlessly clean . There was no kettle in the room but I had brought my own, there is a small fridge but no freezer compartment but that was ok. We hired the safe for our stay, €10 returnable deposit. The housekeeping staff were lovely, changed towels every day and bed linen when required. The pool area was great and kept clean regularly, no problems with sunbeds, always plenty available all day. Didn’t watch much of the hotel entertainment as we preferred to visit the local pubs where there was live music most nights. All in all we had a lovely holiday and wouldn’t hesitate to return to this lovely hotel. Thank you Marfil Playa.

I really enjoyed my stay at Marfil Playa, room was comfy (if a little small for the three of us and the bathroom was a bit dated/needed some tlc), but the food was all really tasty with lots of options and there was never an issue getting a space near the pool so I could keep an eye on my children.
The hotel is in a great location near the beach and all the shops.
Our room overlooked the pool with a sea view which was nice but did mean it was noisy until the entertainment stopped at about 11pm. We tended to stay up and watch the entertainment so was only really an issue on the first night when we were tired from travelling.
Only reason why I didn’t score 5/5 was because I found the behaviour of the guy who runs the fitness centre inappropriate. I booked in for a massage hoping it would help my tight back. Stated that I didn’t want my front doing and yet he still felt it appropriate to put his hands under the towel and touch my breasts (he had already said that he wouldn’t do my front). I could put this discomfort down to me being an ‘uptight Brit’ however my daughters also informed me that he had been asking them where their dad was and if I was divorced…
Also… the massage wasn’t even that great, didn’t sort out the knots in my back and actually made my hips hurt from the pressure he applied to them- big shame but could have enjoyed the relaxing element of some time out regardless of the above hadn’t happened.
As a solo female traveller with two young daughters this is not behaviour I expected from someone who I thought was a professional and it left me feeling uncomfortable for the rest of my stay. I felt equally uncomfortable about raising a complaint whilst I was there as it was his word against mine… joys of being a girl hey.
All other staff were really friendly and professional, bar staff were great and the waitresses were all lovely to my children too which made them feel special.
Unfortunately, based purely on my experience with the massage, I do not feel I could stay here again but other than that would recommend.

Dear Glouisel, Thank you for taking the time to provide your detailed feedback on your recent stay at Marfil Playa. We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed the comfortable room, tasty food options, and convenient poolside experience. We strive to make every guest's stay enjoyable and memorable. However, we deeply regret the discomfort you experienced during the massage and will take immediate action to ensure that it does not happen again. While we would have preferred that you had informed us about the issue during your stay so we could have addressed it right away. During your time with us, nothing was mentioned that indicated you felt unsafe, and we take such concerns very seriously, as the safety and comfort of our guests are our top priorities. We sincerely hope that you will reconsider staying with us in the future, as we are committed to delivering exceptional service and ensuring that all guests feel valued and respected during their time at our hotel. Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention, and we extend our apologies once again for the disappointment you experienced. Dominique P. Guest Service

This hotel allowed us to experience a dream trip to Mallorca because it is in a great location and has a lot of quality services. We ate well, slept well, relaxed and enjoyed a breathtaking sea view from the balcony of our room. We were able to play sports by playing tennis and beach volleyball, do our routine in the gym and spend some time in the sauna. One evening we were tired and didn't want to go out, so we stayed at the hotel bar to drink a cocktail. There really is everything and it is suitable for everyone. Super varied breakfast in a huge room that can accommodate up to 400 people. We couldn't ask for more from the restaurant either, which delighted us. The outdoor pool is very very nice. I would also add that the presence of private parking is very welcome.

We had very good contact with the receptionists both upon our arrival and upon our departure. We would like to highlight their efforts to speak to us in French, which is very rarely the case with the rest of the hotel staff with whom we were in contact.
The hotel is very clean, a good smell emanates as soon as you pass through the front doors. It is very well located which allowed us to visit the north, east and part of the south of the island in five days.
The room is spacious and bright although it is not new, it lived up to our expectations for our stay. The bedding is of good quality. The small balcony with equipment for hanging out beach towels was very practical. However, we have a small downside on its lack of sound insulation. We had a street/sea view with a very noisy karaoke pub below from 9:30 p.m. until around 3 a.m., so it was impossible to sleep without earplugs. The insulation inside the hotel is also poor since we hear the neighbors talking, showering, flushing the toilet...
The hotel facilities are very good with a gym, a bar, a beautiful outdoor swimming pool still a little cool for the season and a small area with a heated indoor pool which is very pleasant at the end of the day. Small problem with the elevators which take a very long time to arrive each time. It's better to be sporty when you're on the fifth floor.
We appreciated our half-board option which allowed us to visit the island all day since we were not dependent on lunchtimes for meals. The breakfast buffet and evening meals are very varied, the evening buffet has different dishes every day. We were able to discover different very good flavors. Be careful with half board, drinks are not included, not even water. The service would however need to be reviewed because in our case on the second evening no one took our drink order, on the fourth the order was taken but not served and on the fifth no order was taken either.
In short, we had a very good stay despite some negative points.

We booked this through easyJet. The hotel is a bit dated and stuck in the 80s but very well maintained and clean. The daily cleaning service for the room was excellent.
We paid to have breakfast included when we checked in. For pool towels you need to pay €15 euro per towel deposit. Safe is a further €10 deposit for the key all in cash. Personally prefer the keypad safes as I find it annoying having to keep the key safe, safe all week.
Breakfast was very good, fresh pancakes and omelettes cooked to your order. Waiting staff stocked up and cleaned plates efficiently.
We had lunch in the hotel a couple of times at terrace by the pool. Bar staff were a bit hit or miss. Not sure whether it’s just easier for them serving the all inclusive guests rather than us. Last day we asked 3 times to order food to be ignored so we gave up after 30mins and went outside the hotel for lunch.
It says you get a free game of tennis per stay but a grumpy man on reception informed us that as we booked through easyJet we had to pay €13 which was a shame as the tennis court remained unused throughout our stay and would have been nice for kids to use.
Evenjng entertainment was convenient. Animacion staff were friendly but didn’t follow the activities itinerary so our little girl was disappointed not to get her face painted as shown on the agenda and we asked a few times if she could have it done.
On the plus side the pool is lovely and generally a quieter hotel so always sun loungers and no queue for breakfast.
Wouldn’t return mainly due to being outdated and having a few incidences where we were left disappointed.

Dear Pazza, Thank you for your detailed review. We are pleased to hear that you found the hotel clean and well maintained, and that you enjoyed the excellent daily housekeeping service and breakfast, especially the fresh pancakes and omelettes. We are sorry to hear that you found some of our infrastructure outdated and that you had problems with the towel deposit system and the safe. We have noted your comments about the keypad safes for future improvement. We apologise for the inconvenience caused by the bar service and the problems you experienced when ordering food. We will investigate these incidents to ensure they do not happen again. We also regret the confusion about free access to the tennis court. As far as entertainment is concerned, all activities are carried out according to the weekly schedule. If a guest requests a service outside of the schedule, it will be subject to the availability of the entertainment team at that time. Thank you for your understanding. We value your comments and take them very seriously to improve our service. We are pleased that you enjoyed the tranquillity of the hotel and the pool. We hope to have the opportunity to serve you better in the future. Thank you for choosing us and for your valuable feedback. Kind regards, Welikehotel Marfil Playa

Hotel that has not met expectations. 1.First of all, as a positive point, we would like to highlight the kindness of the hotel for providing us with a room with sea views superior to the one contracted. 2.The buffet hours are very strange, breakfast is too late, they open at 8:00. However, dinner starts at 7:00 p.m.… And it ends at 9:30 p.m. When you get to breakfast, some of the grilled food (eggs, bacon, pancakes...) are not made until 15 minutes after opening the buffet. So if you get up early to have breakfast part of the buffet you don't eat. Highlight the kindness of one of the buffet waiters (Manuel). 3.When we arrived there was 1 broken elevator, we are talking about a hotel with 7 floors... and it turns out that it has been broken for 5 days, but nevertheless one of the days it broke down on the other, leaving the hotel without useful elevators for customers. A shame for a 4-star hotel. (I have a photo I can provide of both elevators out of service) 4.In the hallways from the first floor onwards it is horribly hot and the same in the elevators. Freshness was only noticeable in reception on the 0th floor. 5.The pool hours close at 6:00 p.m. You can bathe afterwards but under your responsibility, but of course at 7:00 p.m. maintenance staff comes to add products to the pool water, so you cannot bathe. I don't think he'll show up at this hotel. There are better options in the area.

2nd visit to this lovely hotel. I only stayed for 3 nights last year and wanted a longer holiday this time so as I knew the hotel I decided this would be the perfect place. As a solo traveller I cannot fault the hotel itself and most of the team that work there. Although I was all inclusive sometime you do want a bit of a change especially if you are there a while and I think it is great that they give you a discount on non inclusive drinks and have the prices on the menu. I ordered some lunches at the bar and paid for them as I didn’t want to eat in the restaurant for every meal especially on days when the weather was so nice. This was not a problem until the last day when one of the bar staff was very rude to me and said you have food in the restaurant! I explained to him that I was aware however I wanted to purchase something from the snack menu and not eat in the restaurant. He begrudgingly took my order and then told me to wait a minute while he went off somewhere. I was made to feel like I was an inconvenience even though they were not that busy. Saying that everyone else were so accommodating and made me feel very comfortable and welcome. If I came back to this area again in the future this hotel would defiantly be my 1st choice

Dear Dkarenw, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience from your recent stay at our hotel. We truly appreciate your loyalty, having chosen to return for a longer holiday after your previous visit. We are delighted to hear that you found the hotel and most of our team accommodating and welcoming, especially as a solo traveler. It is great to know that the all-inclusive offering met your needs, and that you appreciated the option to enjoy meals outside the restaurant on sunny days. However, we sincerely regret to learn about the impression with one of our staff on your last day. Please accept our apologies, we can guarantee that it is never our intention to make you feel like that, this is certainly not reflective of our service standards. Your feedback is invaluable, and we will address this situation with our team to ensure that all guests feel welcomed and valued. We look forward to welcoming you back in the future, and we are committed to making your next stay even more enjoyable. Thank you once again for your thoughtful comments. Dominique P Guest Service

Great location near to beach walking and cycling trails .easy to get about We had a room in front of the hotel which made sleeping difficult due to noise from the surrounding bars until after midnight Beds are fairly comfortable but pillows are of poor quality.
Most 4 star hotels provide tea tray but not this one . One small bottle of water on arrival that's it ! Every thing has a price attached Deposit required for safe key (who uses a key these days) Deposit for pool towels Deposit for kettle if requested Day beds around pool needed to be hired for a high price, such a shame as none where used in the whole week we were there.
Very little information in the hotel re surrounding area or hotel facilities . Food very German based salad for breakfast...really?Felt that a lot of the food was recycled from meal to meal.
The hotel pool was cold ,but the sea was warmer .
The entertainment team tried hard but thought they were hiding for nothing as the average age was over 50 in September . Most of the day time activities felt they were for a younger age group Overall a great location in a lovely resort but not back to this hotel for us .

We stayed here for our daughter’s 21st birthday, and found the hotel perfect, the staff were all very friendly and welcoming, the rooms were very fresh modern and clean, we booked a family room which was actually two double rooms with an adjoining door Fantastic! On the morning of her birthday the hotel staff presented her with a card and a bottle of wine, ( we hadn’t even told them it was her birthday) over and above 👍 The all inclusive meals were very good and there is a great selection of food and drinks, We never had to have the same thing twice! The bar served a good selection of beer wine spirits and cocktails within the all inclusive, if you wish to pay you can also get premium brands. The hotel had a big pool outside and a smaller indoor pool and a spa, sauna which we payed 10 euros to rent for the hour and were given a key so we had exclusive access (No one else could enter) privacy great 👍 Location is fairly quiet there are several gift shops, restaurants, and couple of bars (one opposite) supermarkets and the beach is pretty close too.
We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely visit again and would definitely recommend.
Thanks guys

Having stayed in four of the Hipotels group in Sa Coma over the years Marfil Playa is by far the best. Modern rooms with comfy beds, plenty of storage space and cleaned daily by friendly hard working maids who keep the hotel spotlessly clean throughout.Reception guys always helpful, happy to give info on events happening in surrounding areas. In the restaurant there is plenty of choice and the food is cooked perfectly and again from kitchen to waiting staff, smiling always. Plenty of sun beds and parasols around the pool with a life guard on duty. The bar area is relaxing with again lovely happy staff. As you can see we loved this hotel, did not find any faults, had a perfectly relaxing week and will be returning.
