The Protur Biomar Sensatori Resort is often lauded for its friendly staff and wide array of amenities, including clean, modern rooms, multiple pools, and engaging entertainment that contribute to a luxurious stay. However, while the location is convenient for beach-goers and shoppers, some guests have found the vibrant atmosphere and nightly activities to lead to noise issues.
Despite the overall praise for cleanliness, there are occasional remarks about the need for better maintenance in the pool area. Additionally, the value proposition of the resort has been questioned by travelers who feel the cost does not always align with their experience.

My girlfriend and I stayed at the round Adult Only Hotel from 15.08.24-18.08.24 We absolutely loved this place! Everything incredibly clean, modern and new. All very friendly and helpful, especially the people in service and the cleaner.
What surprised me most was the food and drinks. The food was incredibly good and everything very fresh. I would not have expected this in an all inclusive hotel. Only that there was no salmon for breakfast amazed me.
So are the drinks. All alcohols were originals and are all freshly prepared in the accompanying glasses (not just everything in long drink or plastic glasses) also with the amount of alcohol in the cocktails was not saved, this also surprised me very much. The drinks menu was huge, it just has everything! Absolutely top Even the coffee machine is a strainer carrier machine as I have seen. And everything is served to the table/lounge.
There's 24 hours of food! A small restaurant in the family area (you can use the family area) offers a small buffet from 23.00-07.00, or you can also have something fresh cooked from a menu.
There is free bike rental. Parking for cars is also free.
Rooms are very modern and clean and what I love so much is when it smells good in the rooms or generally in the hotel and this was the case. We had booked 2 pool rooms in the round main building. All lights, air conditioning and the fan above the bed can be controlled electronically. From the bed, or to the right of the bathroom. Complimentary drinks in the minibar are replenished every day. Only one box of disposable paper towels was missing in the bathroom and a hoe for the towel by the sink.
If you are a Proturhotel Club member, you can check out later, depending on availability, until 2pm, or for 27€ until 6pm.
The guests themselves were very pleasant. No crowding at the buffet, no sun loungers which were reserved early in the morning with towels and of course for peace seekers no children ;) What struck me a little was that many guests ordered drinks and left them partly full or half full. In the sense of, we can order for free again. I think it's a real shame.
Every evening someone or a group played live music outside where there is lounge furniture. Right next to the bar. For a bit more "action" there was also in the family area music, quize etc. Evening entertainment on the main stage. The singers there were incredibly talented. The hotel did not skimp on evening entertainments and hired great people.
The whole hotel complex was very clean and well maintained and very green. Many beautiful and well-kept plants and trees. We can recommend this place 100%. The price - performance - ratio is outstanding!

Good food There is plenty of choice in the buffet restaurants (adults and family) for all mealtimes. Green and Grill serves food pretty much all day long. Adults only also has a poolside menu which I haven’t tried but have heard it’s very good. The a la carte restaurants which are bookable are also very good. When it comes to the buffet restaurant it is the guests who spoil it by using their fingers to take food utensils are provided. Children who aren’t supervised and run around an accident waiting to happen.
Cleanliness The hotel is kept very clean both inside and out. The cleaners do a great job in every area of the hotel. The main pools and swim up pools regularly have the water checked and the area around the main pools is hosed down daily. Even the water outside the family buffet restaurant is cleared of debris daily and also has cleaning solutions put in on a regular basis.
Staff The staff are hard working cheerful and always happy to help. If you’ve been to the hotel before they welcome you back. How they remember with the number of guests they must see over the season is amazing. There are also the staff that work away in the background like the gardeners who keep the grounds looking so nice, maintenance who are there when something needs fixing and other staff who we may never see.
Entertainment There are daytime activities in the family pool which was for both children and adults. I didn’t go to the adult section in the daytime so can’t comment on that side. The evening entertainment was good both adult only and family side. There were some outside acts on the adult only side which were very good. Tui provided the family side entertainment which was also good especially Audrey the piano player what a talent.
Whilst not everyone likes the same thing I believe this hotel provides something for everyone. Should you find something that you’re not entirely happy with speak to the General Manager Chej he is approachable and will do his utmost to resolve any issues.

We opted for the family with shared rooftop pool and it was perfect Amazing views of the resort and often had it to ourselves which was lovely to avoid the hustle and bustle of the main pools on an afternoon
The rooms were spotless and cleaned daily /fridge filled daily with various fizzy drinks and water
The food was always amazing and the different theme nights were fab always plenty of choice for fussy eaters Desserts we're our favourite 😍
The piano bar on an evening was brilliant , my son loved the mocktails and the jukebox bingo!
We didn't meet a single member of staff who wasn't absolutely lovely, always helpful and courteous
The pool areas were brilliant, plenty of sunbeds and no war at 7am for a bed!! Activity pool often got more busy but was never overly crowded or "hectic" like many hotels we've visited
We ventured upto another protur hotel nearby to play the mini golf which was free- just grab a ticket from the reception, it was a fun hour out and nice to see the other local hotels in the chain!
Close enough to sa coma beach and a nice evening walk upto cala miller, however we rarely ventured off as we enjoyed the resort and all it had to offer
we had an amazing holiday and loved this place so much we are booking again for next year!

I don't think I've ever left a review before, good or bad, but feel the need to do so now. We stayed in this hotel last year and it was amazing, we couldn't fault it and so booked again for this year. I don't know what has happened, but even before the illness there were so many things that weren't up to the standard of last year, it certainly isn't what I would class as a 5* hotel anymore. The public areas were dirty - the lift was horrendous and the poolside/tables/loungers etc weren't cleaned over night. Our rooms weren't always cleaned and when they were it wasn't to a great standard. The aircon was broken in one of our rooms and we had no bathroom door. Plates and bowls were never properly clean at the buffet restaurant. We ate at The Green and Grill one night, our main courses were cold and when it came to ordering desert we were told we couldn't have any. We assume this was due to the altercation we had witnessed during our meal where someone from management appeared to 'have words' with the staff in the restaurant and the 2 chefs left/walked out! There were quite a few other things that were disappointing, but in themselves they weren't enough to completely ruin the holiday. Our holiday was completely ruined however when 4 out of 5 of us came down with a really horrendous D & V bug. We reported our illness to both reception and the Tui reps but they couldn't have been less concerned. I know bugs happen and they do spread, but the hotel did absolutely nothing to help prevent the spread, in fact the opposite, they helped to spread it. They used the same cleaning equipment to go in and out of bedrooms, they didn't clean communal areas, they didn't clean up vomit in public spaces quick enough, there were no extra measures put in place at the buffet/restaurants (other than the odd hand sanitiser after a few days and these weren't enforced) and the main thing is they totally denied that there was any sort of problem even going on. Everyday they would tell new people who were falling ill that there were fewer cases being reported and that the bug had all but gone, but the pinboard on the app showed dozens and dozens of newly unwell people each day. When they shut the pool in the family area to clean it because someone had been sick in it on our last day they even told people they could use the adults only area pool, therefore encouraging the spread of germs further! There was no signs of those handling food wearing gloves, no masks, nothing. It's not been long since covid, I would have thought it would be quite easy to reintroduce some of the necessary measures. This is a really powerful bug and many people were hospitalized with it and Tui just continue to deny there is a problem. We paid an awful lot of money for this holiday and looked forward to it so much after our great experience last year. We feel very let down.

Response from Bettina Protur, Atención al cliente/recepción at Protur Biomar Sensatori Resort

We are sorry that you were disappointed with your stay this year, particularly due to the virus. Both Tui and hotel management have dealt with the situation in a controlled and transparent manner and the intention has always been to allow guests to enjoy their holiday while adhering to health & hygiene protocols. Please rest assured that neither TUI nor Protur Hotels would do anything to put guests’ health at risk.

Firstly, the hotels facilities and grounds are lovely especially the Adults only building and Thea’s Coffee shop which is a nice touch. What we didn’t know when arriving is that the Adults only building has entertainment every night downstairs in the open area until around 11pm which can be heard in most rooms, by the time the other guests went to bed and noise died down it was always around 1 am. If you want a rest, which most people do on holiday and sleep the adults building might not be for you. We had to move rooms as when we arrived around 930 pm on a Saturday evening exhausted, we were allocated room 250 near the lift despite me emailing well in advance asking to not be near the lift as they are the noisiest rooms. The room also stunk of smoke which was disgusting, we were moved to another room on the third floor but were kept awake all night by loud banging/footsteps above, this room was nice however but the noise wasn’t. The premium rooms on the fourth floor are probably the best if you want some kind of sleep and have their own terrace/pool which is nice if you want to relax there. The food at the hotel is amazing, wasn’t very clear what was gluten free for myself however the desserts were 10/10 every night. Overall our experience was sadly ruined by the moving rooms aspect, we found certain reception staff lacking in decent pleasant customer skills, especially from Shannon and another lady who works Saturdays only with her. They both didn’t apologise and were both very abrupt and standoffish when we went to speak to them and ask for help, which was very off putting I didn’t expect this from the Protor hotel chain to be honest. The waiting staff every day in the adults only restaurant, bar staff and cleaners however were lovely and respectful and couldn’t do enough for you and also the Thea’s coffee shop staff who also remembered our drinks every day - which was a nice touch. I think the customer service within the reception area needs improving, especially as it makes a massive difference to somebody’s experience when arriving in another Country. Sofia at reception however was a brilliant example of how staff should be at a respected hotel and she was very helpful.

This is my first experience of an all inclusive but it is certainly not my first experience of a five star hotel. We stayed for 5 nights in October which I know is outside of the summer season, so of course it would have been quieter, but I genuinely would not come back here in season either.
The main reason we wouldn't come back is because we felt this hotel catered to either families or elderly couples and was not suitable for us as a young, childless couple.
Pros: - Adults only area is spotlessly clean, everything is nice and modern. - The people who work at the bars/restaurants are very attentive, checking if you need anything to drink. - Buffet has a selection to suit everyone.
Cons: - The place lacks any authenticity, personality or culture. It felt like a retirement village. Everything from the layout of the seating the the adults lobby area, to the decor which was lovely and modern but felt clinical and tacky. - We came for our honeymoon and my 30th, which we advised TUI - and expected something to be done, e.g. bottle in our room or something to say congratulations! Nothing was done about this. To put it into perspective, we stayed at a 5 star hotel in London a few days earlier and on arrival was asked of the occasion. That evening I received a desert and handwritten note to our room - small touches like this is what makes a place 5 star! - We stayed for 5 nights, so was allowed to eat in an a la carte one night only. The other nights were buffet. As mentioned, the buffet has a good variety but the actual food wasn't amazing, not was the a la carte we tried. - The pool areas and evening bar area are boring, with no music from this century played. I asked for some current music at the pool bar and instead they turned it off all together. - Kids activity pool plays better music but it's filthy around there so we didn't stay. - Ice creams available were the cheapest ice creams ever, pound shop quality, and there is absolutely NO snacks available like crisps or nuts for your drinks at night. - You can basically only eat when the restaurants are open. Suggestions: - A wider variety of music would be good and maybe in the bars you could decorate this with some culture and personality that is fitting to Spain/Majorca
This was a one time thing for us, we wanted a cheapish week away where we could simply relax - which we did. We enjoyed chilling in the day but the evening entertainment was yawn worthy and repetitive. If you want an easy holiday doing absolutely nothing, it's great, but 4 days is enough.

My husband and I stayed Protur Biomar as a package deal with TUI, we opted to book a taxi from the airport to the hotel & back again at the end of the holiday. We had read that the transfer bus can take up to 2 hours and didn't fancy it after an early flight. Taxi service was excellent (also booked through TUI) both drivers were kind, friendly and crucially on time. At Palma airport, the taxi transfer is out of the baggage doors, to the right and quite far along with the office on the right, it's not very easy to find.
The hotel was absolutely beautiful, we stayed in the adults only section and although we arrived earlier than check in, our room was ready and we were able to check in. The room was always spotless and the daily refill of the mini bar was a great touch and very welcome after being in the sun for the day.
The food was excellent, there was such a huge selection of fresh, nutritious and delicious food at every meal, rather than the standard mountains of beige.
All the hotel staff were chatty, helpful and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble.
Would absolutely recommend this hotel to couples and families and would definitely return.

We travelled for a week in mid/late August as 2 families. Based on our experience we felt this was the best all inclusive experience we've had to date. There had been a sickness bug before we travelled but when we arrived there were cleaners in the reception area and throughout our stay the level of cleanliness throughout was very high. Hand-washing facilities before dinner were in place and this actually makes sense for any hotel with so many people passing through.
We had 2 x Junior suites in Block A. They are very spacious with a separate area for children with the option of a sliding door. There were 2 balcony areas in each room which provided some early evening sunshine. The minibar is re-stocked every night if needed with water and soft drinks. Overall we found the rooms clean and comfortable. We asked for quiet rooms which we received (308/309) so very little noise from outside.
Food in the buffet was good and theme nights most evenings provided variety. We tried the Italian a la carte and also the Green & Grill for dinner. They were decent but not a significant step up from the buffet. If we were picky the deserts lacked a bit of variety but overall for all inclusive no issues.
Drinks.....best selection at all inclusive we've experienced. A wide range of cocktails and mocktails as well as spirits, wine, beer. It wasn't just local spirits on AI either. We loved the coffee shop Thea's and they had a good selection.
Entertainment isn't really our thing so can't comment on that but we had after dinner drinks in the Piano Bar most nights and that was pleasant (some better than others, Bethany was excellent!).
One of the highlights for us was the complete absence of sunbed wars. Clearly the hotel was nowhere near full as people had presumably cancelled due to the previous issue. There are 2 pools for families, we used the main family pool and there was plenty of shade options too.
My wife and I both had a spa treatment that was to a high standard. We also made use of the spa pools which were good.
The staff were a highlight, they all worked very hard and were incredibly friendly from cleaners, bar staff to those in the restaurant.
Overall, for what we paid this was a great 5 star experience and we would definitely consider returning one day. For those yet to travel, do not worry just enjoy the experience when you're there.
One thing to note, beware of hungry mosquitoes. They are rampant!
Thanks to everyone at the Biomar for a great holiday.

We have just come back from the Biomar and really enjoyed our stay but…… I’m sorry it does not qualify as a 5 star a very good 4 star but not a 5 based on we always book 5 star hotels This is an honest review about the adult part of the hotel and I’ll start with the good points The room was amazing definitely 5 star it was spacious very clean and well laid out although the bathroom situation was a bit weird but we liked it comfy beds and pillows and the cleaning staff were very friendly and nice a credit to them The food was very nice and tasty and varied every night the chefs were very informative about allergies in the buffet no need to go to the other restaurants in the hotel we looked forward to our evening meal breakfast was good but not as good as was lunch just good The pool was very nice and you never had to worry about getting a sunbed they were plentiful most evening entertainment was ok with the odd exceptional one like the Welsh comedian he was hilarious Now the not so good There was only the choice of house red, house white, or house blush for wines so if you like a specific wine type like Malbec or Shiraz you’ve had it no choice, also you can only order wine or beer at dinner if you want another type of drink you have to go get from the bar yourself?! Also if you order 2 glasses of wine one will come just over quarter full the other will be over half full? When you order a Bacardi from the bar make sure it is and not a cheaper rum they also tried that There was no consistency with the alcohol and was terrible experience trying to order what you wanted just another instance the barman held 2 wine glasses in one hand over the sink poured wine all over them put them on the bar with wine all over them making them all sticky so we left them too it was a unprofessional experience….. no poolside service you had to go get your own drinks just ridiculous so this was not even 3 star Most of the staff were very pleasant and if you phoned down to reception the responded immediately Sa coma and the sea 10 min away and such a pleasant walk in the mornings along the beach such a clean lovely sea front So would we return?? Probably we did despite the drink niggles really have a nice time and the adult side is a lovely hotel but they will have to sort out that bar tender senario you can’t scrimp on that side of it if you want to be a 5 star !!!!!

Just returned from 9 nights in the adult's only section of the Biomar. Our tick list for a great holiday is....... Peace & quiet Large comfortable/clean room Good air-conditioning Comfortable large bed, relaxed dining, good food, clean pool, available sunbeds. All of the above were met! The room was very quiet with no banging doors and no noise from adjoining rooms. Lovely balcony with comfortable, modern furniture. The pool area is well kept with plenty of loungers available, although there were the odd selfish few who thought it was ok to reserve "their" sunbeds! The pool was cold, but once in was a delight! The staff here are all so friendly and helpful and are all very hardworking, even though it is almost the end of the season! The General Manager Is visible throughout the hotel and clearly passionate about his hotel. The dining experience for us was very good, the food in the buffet is alongside the best we have had, such a fantastic choice & always replenished. I like that a dedicated staff member is there to clear up the "slops" that come with a buffet. The food was very tasy and plentiful, hat's off to the chef's. I liked that you could choose to sit wherever you wanted, inside or out. I didn't however care for the wine 🙈 Red, white or Rose but I guess that's all inclusive for you. We wandered through the family area a few time's and it was busy with children having great fun, walking back to the adult's section was like being in a different resort, but a nice mix if that's what you want from a holiday. This for us was definitely a relaxing chilled holiday. Many couple's, with a few larger groups of adult's and I was surprised just how busy it got the last week in October as we were leaving! Would I return? 100% yes 2hrs 30 from home and actually for us, Palma airport was very well organised.
Thanks again Chej and all your hard working staff for a lovely relaxing holiday.
