We stayed at the self catering Villas Yaiza for two weeks having also arranged a Half Board option of having Breakfast and Dinner at the supposedly superb Casona de Yaiza restaurant. The restaurant is however not superb as some describe it! The a la carte menu is very limited, there were few specials and the standard of catering was only...

We stayed here two nights and were very happy with the hotel. It is nice, full of character, and ideal for independent travellers looking for an "hotel de charme" rather than a large resort. We had a room on the first floor who was large, tastefully decorated, with a very big bathroom and a balcony. If we went back I would...

If you want a busy, lively and sociable venue for your holiday then this is not the place for you- head to a coastal resort! We were so surprised by the lack of people everywhere. For Easter we expected crowds and lots of celebration but it was so quiet. The hotel was also quiet even though it was full. The...

We spent ten days here in November, which seems to be a relatively quiet time on Lanzarote (the weather is a little variable.). We were given the option of one of the four villas on the other side of the village, and having seen what was quite a small ground-floor room at the main site, we had no hesitation in...

We had a very pleasant stay at la Casona de Yaiza. Our room was spacious, comfortable and decorated with taste. The common areas are also well maintained and feature a swimming pool (which we could not try) and a rooftop jacuzzi (amazing!). The hotel also benefits from a restaurant, which serves good quality local food at very decent prices. The...

We stayed at La Casona for around a week this September and had a very enjoyable stay - Yaiza is a great base from which to explore all areas of the central and southern parts of the island and is also close by car to great restaurants in Poerto Calero, La Geria and Playa Blanca if you fancy a change...

We spent about a week in this hotel and we're so glad we chose this amazing little gem away from the ugly touristic areas. We upgraded one room to a suite with a little terrace, and this was pure luxury. The restaurant has a short simple menu, but everything is fresh and cooked to perfection. Nicely presented too. It ended...

We stayed in one of he excellent villas rather than the main hotel. I can highly recommend it - electric gates, integrated garage, your own heated swimming pool, fully furnished sun terrace and fully fitted kitchen. Beautiful bathrooms - the master bedroom not only had it's own bathroom, but also had a dressing room, it's own sun terrace and even...

From reviews we expected the Casona to be very nice and so it was: lovely large room, well appointed; good facilities including the pool; great staff. However, we did not expect to find the best restaurant in Lanzarote onsite; far better than L'Era which is mentioned in all the books. Food was varied, always excellent and plentiful - the rabbit...
