Tao Caleta Playa apartments features the best location: beach-front with direct access to the beach and amazing views to the isle “Isla de Lobos”. The town center is just 200 meters away with the offer of a wide variety of supermarkets, activities, entertaiment, gastronomy and shopping options. Our proposal is an invitation for you to dream with the sea as the background sound of your holidays and dive your feet in the sand right after waking up. This property has an outdoor swimming pool for adults and a smaller one for children, right in the center of a wide solarium that allows our visitor a relaxing sunbath. The apartments are distributed in three different areas. The first one contains 18 two-level apartments with pool-view. The lower level has a lounge kitchen, a small restroom and a terrace. The upper floor has the bedroom and a complete bathroom. The second area contains five two-level apartments with interior-view in addition to another five two-level apartments with sea views. All have terrace, lounge kitchen, bathroom and a bedroom with balcony. The third area contains nine 2-bedroom apartments and one 3-bedroom apartment in a 2 storey building with 2 units on the ground floor and 8 on the upper floor. Each one offers a lounge kitchen and a bathroom. Some units have a small interior patio, some have a larger terrace, but all of them have an amazing view to the Corralejo Bay with the isle “Isla de Lobos” and Lanzarote as a background. All apartments have been recently renovated (2017). Modern furnitures and decorated walls with large format pictures of images of the island, creates a bright but relaxing atmosphere. Each unit is equiped with a double ceramic hob, microwave, small refrigerator, kettle, dishes, cutlery and further basic appliances an cooking elements. Safe box, hairdryer in the bathroom, ceiling fan, 27” flat TV and free WiFi. The apartment is cleaned every 3 days including the change of bedsheets and towels.

These are lovely apartments over two floors, like your own little house. Your kitchen and living area are downstairs and the bathroom and bedroom are upstairs. There are two balconies as well, one up and one down.
Reception is only open at certain times so if you arrive when its closed your welcome pack at the airport will tell you how to access your keys. It sounds daunting but it really isn't.
Maids keep the apartments and the grounds spotless, cannot fault any of that. Lots of space inside the apartments. Please note that the stairs are steep and angled, the elderly or infirm might struggle and small children would need to be watched. The floors can be very slippy when wet too. These are my only negatives on the apartments.
I have read on here that all apartments have either a pool or sea view, this is incorrect. Numbers 19,20,21,23 and 25 do not have either. These all face reception, however this does mean that you get the sun all day, so worth it really. We had number 21.
The safe and AC is free, the AC is very good and freezing cold, it soon drops the temp in the room, will say that ours only had AC downstairs and the fan in the bedroom was very rickety and wobbled when on.
The beach is just through the complex and is kept relatively clean, very rocky beach though, black lava rocks are everywhere, including in the water so be careful. I did kick a rock one morning and it wasnt nice, it drew blood, and I lost a chunk of skin, and was extremely painful. If you're not keen on fish you wont like the sea, it is full of them, they swim up and down the shoreline all day long, I wasn't keen really, lots of seaweedy stuff in the sea too, some of it is a bit like hair from the plughole at home lol..
There are lots of shops and restaurants within 10 mins walk, Hippo supermarkets are everywhere and have a very good variety of food etc, even fresh baked goods in the morning, donuts and bread are very good...these sell quite fast though.
All in all we had a great time here, I probably wouldnt return simply because of the beach, too many stones in and out of the water, (fishes too) We are not pool people really.
Our little house was great though, and if I could pick it up and move it to a better beach I would.

Having booked prior to researching the reviews on Trip Advisor we were pleasantly surprised by these apartments. Some of the reviews suggested they’d fall short of customer satisfaction, however we were extremely happy with them. Extremely well located near to all shops, bars and eateries. Also rear of apartments had a path leading directly down onto the beach. Front and rear access could bd entered only with access codes so seem very safe as only accessible to people booked in to them. All apartments cleaned alternative days and towels changed.

We did speak to a family of 3 who arrived late and had not been given access codes so were locked out and had to pay €300 to get a room for the night in an alternative hotel.

TIP #1 - make sure you’re given access codes before you leave the airport!!

Also whilst we were there several families locked their keys in their apartments, if you leave the keys inside and close the doors you lock yourself out.

TIP #2 never leave the keys inside even if you’re only sat around the pool pop them into the lock on the OUTSIDE of the door so you’ll be able to get in when needed.

The apartment is set over 2 floors accessed via a steep concrete tiled stair, in our apartment the top of the stairs were directly as you entered the front door.

TIP #3 leave the light on at night so that when you come back you will notice the stairs as soon as you open the door.

The set up of these apartments may also be a barrier for older people, people with mobility difficulties and young children as the stairs would pose access restrictions and/or fall hazard!

All said we had a lovely stay and I’d go back.
Very relaxing, friendly and peaceful 🩷

Negative: We booked a 2 bed seaview apartment seaview for us and our family… a week before arriving they canceled our 2 bed due to overbookings and offered us a 1 bed seaview and a 1 bed pool view…. Luckily our kids are 16&17 so was not an issue. I asked for the rooms to be close to each other and they were with 2 sets of keys in each apartment we were able to have a key set for each apartment it was just like having 2 different close together hotel rooms.
Positive: Apartment’s are clean well equipped and the sea view is spectacular. The pool view apartments are bigger than the seaview and are less susceptible to the wind in the evenings. Note the bathroom in one bed seaview have a tight squeeze in but not an issue.
The complex is small and quiet at least when we were there. The day before we left the pool started to get loud and busier but peak season. Cleaners are in every 2 days they are constantly cleaning…. Towels changed when they pop in. To get to the town or beach is a short stroll. Overall happy with our stay they don’t cost an arm and leg and are well worth what we paid for the 2 week period.
We will stay here again if in the region. I almost let the bad reviews here make me book a different complex am glad I didn’t.

Unusually for us we booked a package holiday with Jet2 and my husband and I and our 12 year old son stayed at these apartments. Unfortunately, they did not live up to expectations at all. Certainly the pictures on the jet2 website showed modern, clean and well maintained accommodation. In fact the opposite was true.
Out apartment was generally shabby with a poor standard of upkeep. For instance electrical sockets came out of the wall, the bedside reading lamps were broken, the toilet seat was loose, there was no plug for the kitchen sink and some of the kitchen cupboards were stained/dirty.
We had arrived late on the Saturday night and let ourselves in with a key code (reception was closed) so we had no choice but to address the issues the following morning.
We saw our jet2 rep who agreed that the standard of our apartment was not good. However, she couldn't do anything about moving us until the next day as it was Sunday and the reception was closed.
The next day another rep came to see us and tried to convince us not to move. He was very dismissive about our complaints and implied that's what we should have expected. We were extremely unhappy and insisted we move apartments. He eventually and reluctantly agreed and we moved to a slightly better apartment, although it was still rather shabby and in dire need of updating. We had no choice but to accept this as we were tired of our dealings with the unhelpful rep and were desperate to unpack and get on with our holiday.
We would not stay here again and certainly would think twice about booking a package holiday with Jet2. The very basic level of accommodation regardless of the other issues was very disappointing. For example, there were no shelves in the bathroom or shower to store a few toiletries, no proper bath sized towels, the bed sheets didn't fit the beds and beds had plastic mattress covers. The tea towel in the kitchen wasn't changed the whole holiday. Also the attitude of the second jet2 rep was frankly lousy.
The saving grace of Tao Caleta Playa was the excellent location with direct access to the beach and only a 5 minute walk to the centre.

Two positives about these apartments - the location and cleanliness. Not a cheap holiday so expected better. We had a dismal dark duplex. Only lighting was bright spots on the ceiling that added to the stark unwelcoming apartment. I believe some bathrooms have been given a complete makeover. Ours looked like it had had a bath taken out in favour of a walk in shower. The shower tray encroached in front of the toilet and a mismatch of tiles had been put where the bath had been. There was a view of a high wall a few feet from out bedroom window. The pool area is sheltered but small and the perspex fencing around the pool is scratched/marked/cloudy and looks so uninviting. This is definitely not a place to take youngsters, We spent most of our time away from this place.

it smells like the drains are blocked, it's in a good location but it's not the cleanest, average at best. The pool is grubby and the vent at the bottom was blocked by a couple of plasters all week. The cleaners are quite happy just to swap your towels until you check out, our room was only cleaned the day before we left to give them a head start on change over day. It's cheap though so you get what you pay for

We arrived at 2.45pm after being delayed at the airport. Reception was locked and the only people there were the cleaners who showed us to an apartment which was nothing like what we booked. We were put in apartment number 10 which was next to the Toro Beach restaurant and BEHIND their outside patio area where people were eating their lunch! No privacy whatsoever other than a picket fence! Then things got worse...we noticed a very bad smell coming from around the area. I had read some reviews on here that mentioned drains etc. but it's true! Then our toilet stopped working so that when you flushed all the dirty water leaked from under the toilet and came up through the shower tray drain. We could use our toilet at all and had to use the one in the restaurant until they closed at 11pm. After that we had no choice but to use it but not flush it! First thing Monday morning we went to reception at 9am to demand that we change to another room. They agreed to move us to apartment 28 once it had been cleaned so we could move in after 1pm. Things dramatically improved after that and the new apartment was much more in line with what we had expected from the photos on the website. When we returned home I wrote an email to the management asking if they could give us a discount for the inconvenience of being left with out a toilet or shower for 2 nights and am still waiting for a reply 2 weeks later. We said we would be happy to book again the following year on the condition that we could have a similar apartment to the one we eventually got. Nothing! They don't even want to acknowledge that we had a problem and have ignored us, so we've booked elsewhere for next year. Very disappointed with the management. The cleaning staff were very good and the location is excellent which was why we booked in the first place but I'm afraid there is a lot of truth in the bad reviews on here.
Also, there were other people that arrived on Sunday that we had to help find their apartment because there were no staff there on Sunday. We eventually found the door to their apartment in the middle of the restaurant.

Had a few reservations on seeing recent reviews but we had room 26 with ocean view. Had sun from early morning until around 2pm on upstairs balcony only. Cant fault location, loads of bars & restaurants nearby & you can get access to beach from rooms. Arrived Sat afternoon & no one there but were given code for key so no issues. Rooms were nicely decorated, kitchen had every thing needed for breakfast but we didnt cook. Bedding felt damp, had to sleep on blanket but this was fine. Clothes in wardrobe felt damp too but just left doors open to let air in & it was ok. Bathroom had a good shower. Not sure i would return but it was good for a weeks break.

Would have been more a bargin for what we got if the hotel price was cheaper. A couple paid £600 each for 2 weeks as we paid just over £500 each for the week. It's a little expensive for what you get.
Clean buy tired. Maid went in twice in the week we were there. Reception seems to be closed more than open. And it's not overly helpful if you ask a question. Especially asking to stay in the room longer for a later flight home. There is no shower room or anywhere to change or freshen up on the complex. Jet2 give you a helpline number if you can not get the help you require.
You are given a code at the airport for the keylock to get into your apartment. Smell of drains at different parts of the day. Very uncomfortable sofa bed. One lady put a mattress on top for comfort.
No atmosphere by the pool, so take some music with you. But don't play it too loud as others won't appreciate it. Some did.
On the plus side, minutes from the beach. Short walk to the many shops and restaurants. The apartments are out of the way of noisy bars. Saying that not many of those in the area anyway. Would recommend the area for the island.

Myself and my wife stayed herd for 9 nights in March. We had an apartment with sea view.
The complex is quite and at night no noise except the sound of the waves on the beach. We have booked to come back again next year. The receptionist left us have a late check out at 3pm as apartment wasn’t booked for that night. Pool is very quite and is a good size.
There is a back gate that leads on to the beach and there are plenty of restaurants within a 1 minute walk.
Don’t be put off by negative reviews as we nearly changed our minds when we booked reading some reviews. If you want basic accommodation that’s clean this is your spot.
