We have been to this hotel at least 7 times. We are always completely satisfied, we have never encountered any problem. The gym included in the price is more than sufficient and the beach, which is right next to the hotel, is almost empty outside of weekends. The entire hotel, including the swimming pools, is guarded and can be entered with a card. It is more of a hotel for the elderly, you will not meet very "screaming" children. The best are restaurants and bars near the hotel, as well as clothing stores.

Anfi Emerald is an excellent resort for a relaxing break. We stayed in apartment 302, a spacious 2-bed apartment overlooking the golf course. The apartments are nicely furnished with almost all amenities you could need (no oven). The balconies are huge & well furnished. The apartment was spotless, bins emptied & cleaned every day. The resort is a little isolated, you need a car to explore, shop & eat out. However, Porto Rico is only a 10 minute drive away, where there are ample supermarkets, restaurants & shops. We arrived after 9.30pm & during check in discovered the restaurant closes at 10pm & the on-site Spar at 8pm. Wi-Fi is 15 euro per week & works well. The car park was free due to the barrier being broken, but ordinarily there is normally a charge.

We had a brilliant time at anfi as usual. We stayed in the penthouse this time and it exceeded all our expectations. The one bedroom apartment was huge with an extra sofa bed in the living area and a jacuzzi in the bedroom! A very well equipped kitchen caters for all your needs complete with dishwasher and washer dryer. The outside area of the penthouse which gets the sun all day is completely private with large areas for dining outside, a jacuzzi and 4 loungers and a seated area. All the staff are very pleasant and helpful. The restaurant serves very reasonable breakfasts and meals and a happy hour every day. Anna and her team really made our holiday - the lady herself keeps the party atmosphere going- we had great craic and chats with her and she goes the extra mile to ensure everyone has a good time. Looking forward to our next visit!!

Absolutely horrible experience. Attending to go to the driving range and then a dip in the pool, security guard told us to go to reception, then we were told we cannot swim here but can spend our money. Very rude receptionist, unwelcoming and snooty atmosphere. 0/5

Our room on the 5th floor (room 503) was fabulous. The balcony was huge, with 2 sunbeds (could easily fit a couple more) and a table for four, it was private and perfect for relaxing and sunbathing. Anfi Emerald is quiet, not like Anfi del Mar, so don’t expect entertainment and shops etc (although there’s a Spar on site for food & drink) it was perfect for time to chill and relax. A spa bath in our bedroom was a blast & a huge shower in the bathroom a real bonus. Good kitchen facilities, good television (BBC and ITV) and excellent WiFi. Not much in the area so again don’t come here expecting to be entertained (apart from the golf course, which is huge - if you’re into that). Fabulous pools and a decent restaurant. Would return again tomorrow!

The place and the people working at the facilities is just amazing. The time share apartments are great.

On the other hand after spending 15+ years with no challenges we just got one of out two weeks because of the terrible lack of service from Vacation Club. They don't answer emails for months and after 30 min waiting on calls you get a voicemail. In addition they mess up your Vacation weeks putting all responsibility to you, and do not take action on their own lack of proceeding requests from their guest. I have two weeks and been a long time satisfied customer but will after this Vacation not recommend to buy a week from Anfi.

I absolutely loved my stay here. The view from the balcony was amazing. The staff in la cascada were friendly and made us feel welcome. Will hopefully come back again and for longer than a week. Food and drink was well priced. And the shop spa was very handy for the english tea bags.

Hi

We have just returned from a week atAnfi Emerald and as promised here is what we thought: 25th of April

We absolutely loved this resort. It was quieter than some of the other resorts but thats how we like it. We stayed in a 2 bedroomed apartment (104) and it was absolutely spotless. TVs in all the rooms, a master bedroom with an ensuite and a jacuzzi in the bedroom itself.

The apartment was fully equipped with a kitchenette, microwave, electric hob, dishwasher, fridge, microwave/vector oven and all plates etc etc.

The apartment was kept spotless all week by the staff who were also friendly an unintrusive.

As for the resort itself it was spotless, no litter no rubbish lying around, in fact we were up in the morning watching the staff carrying out their work around the resort.

There are 3 pools and a jacuzzi and plenty of sunbeds at all the pools for everyone. As parents of young children we stayed by the baby pool most of the week and we made full use of the kids club as did my brothers 3 daughters. The staff were absolutely brilliant from the receptionist, to the restaurant staff, to the kids club, to the chamber maids.

My brother a veteran of Gran Canaria holidays said we would not need a car but we still hired one. However there were always taxis outside reception and for the trips we did it would have been cheaper to take taxis everywhere, rather than have a car. There is also a supermarket on site and one at the bottom of the hill about 5 minutes walk away, which is cheaper.

There are plenty of activities on offer at the Emerald Club from Golf to Archery and shooting.

The only negatives about the resort are that even as residents there is a 6 euro a night charge to use the car park, although we parked for free just past reception at the top of the hill. The restaurant was also pricey on the themed nights ie the barbecue night was 22.00 euros per head and 11.50 for children which I thought was pricey. However the restaurant staff were superb and really welcoming whenever we we went. And we went quite a lot especially in the afternoon.

We would definitely stay here again and hope we can return next year.

We would like to say a big 'Thank You' to all the staff at Anfi Emerald for a wonderful holiday and would definitely recommend this resort to families with children

Jaani

We've just returned from our first week at Anfi Emerald Club and loved it. Much higher occupancy than we'd seen on an inspection visit last Easter but still plenty of sunbeds and chilling space. We soon got used to the late morning sun arrival poolside and made the most of the late evening sun (could still sunbathe at 8pm).
Apartments are gorgeous, contemporary, stylish and well equipped.
Yoga and Pilates classes outdoors in the chill-out gardens (four poster sunbeds, trickling fountains & piped spa music!). Mountain biking, climbing - all free to guests. Staff were very helpful. This resort is immaculate and the views over the stunning golf course and sea are lovely. Needless to say, golfers are very well catered for.
Yes, this new Anfi resort is still in early stages of development but the developers clearly take care to ensure work in progress causes minimal disruption. No building at present but we understand it resumes in the Autumn. The current views of rock/cliffs in the background should then start to change. Not much evening entertainment currently but kids/teens have pool tables, ping pong, archery etc. and you can always schlep down to the plaza at Anfi del Mar (7 mins drive by car).
Short drive into Mogan, Maspalomas, Amadores beach area (our little car with A/C cost less for a week at Easter than a transfer from airport and back).
Daily shuttle bus operates between Anfi Emerald Club and Anfi del Mar (with stops at Amadores & Puerto Rico). These start at around 10.00am and finish around 5.15pm and go every hour or so (free and reliable).
Our young teens still prefer the liveliness of Anfi del Mar but towards the end of the week, even they felt so chilled they had begun to really appreciate the peace of Emerald Club. We have already booked another week next Easter!

Parking is about £7 per day. The beds in the two beds can be put together, ask Anfi before you go, and they will set up as you choose. Enjoy it!
