If on the Camino and you must stop for the night, then Los Templarios might fit the bill. It is a small family run hotel with clean, quiet rooms for a reasonable price. While looking on line, the prices rans in the low fifties, when I arrived, it was to be had for around 35€ a night...more than reasonable. Plenty... More

My husband and I have been walking the Camino de Santiago in segments. We started where we left off in Ponferrada in October 2015 to continue the final segment to Santiago this past May. Our first stay here last fall was pleasant enough so I decided to stay here again. The room we got this time was at the corner... More

I booked a 2 night stay at this hotel for the fall segment of our 800km journey to Santiago. We had a corner room in an upper floor with a great view of the Torre del Reloj. The room was not large but it was clean. So was the bathroom with shower. It was quiet surprisingly because, in most Spanish... More

Decided to try the dinner for perigrinos our night in Ponferrada for 10 £. They were out of many items on their menu... I wasn't sure if the stew was truly gluten free, so after several bites I exchanged my husbands salad for the stew. The food was good! A 1/2 liter of wine and desert was included. The waiter... The location of this motel style hotel is its best point. Right on the Camino path and in the centre of the city, it is a short walk away from restaurants, museums and the Templar Castle. Unfortunately, the mediocre service and motel style room appointments let it down. None of the staff on duty spoke English but this was not... More

The room is very comfortable, the host is nice but he doesn't speak english. The hotel is very close to the center, in a small alley. The price (35€ for a single room) was a bit expensive for me thought (pilgrims usually sleep for less than 10€ a night).

I had two beds, bathroom, big closet, table and chair - you don't need more actually. Good location - Camino path out from Ponferrada starts right next to it. Castle is near. Altough people have mentioned noise, my room (during my one-day-stay in June) was very quiet. Morning when I checked out, there was one very nice lady who gave... More

I visited Ponferrada while doing the Camino to Santiago in April. I found the hotel to be clean and convenient but totally soulless. Also, very noisy! There was a private party on the ground floor that started around 11 pm and made it impossible to sleep. I wouldn't recommend staying here, however if there are few alternatives, request an upstairs... More

We stopped here for a night while walking the Camino. The room was very small but clean and comfortable. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The hotel was a bit difficult to find, as on a side street, but well located to all the sights. We thought we got good value for the price we paid.

I stayed here while passing thru on the Camino. I thought I would treat myself to a hotel while in the city. This was not the hotel to get rest in! The noise from the bar below me, I was on the third floor, was overwhelming! I had earplugs in and the pillow wrapped around my head until 2:45 in... More
