The people here are lovely, always about to help and advise without being in your face. The hotel is very clean and quiet, good bar and restaurant. Breakfast was perfect for us as we like good cereals and lovely fresh breads, and some very tasty cheese if you like cheese at breakfast. Boiled eggs also available freshly cooked to order.

We stayed here for a week and had a lovely time. The hotel facilities are fairly basic but it is clean and well managed. Very friendly and helpful staff and a lovely continental breakfast each morning. The building itself is steeped in history - if you eat here, try and reserve a table in the older restaurant room as it's... More

If you are travelling up the Albula Pass by road or by rail then spend at least a night here. My all time favourite Swiss hotel with lovely owners in charge and some very nice international staff. It is a well renovated old farmhouse style building set in the village centre: there is nothing special about the rooms but they... More

We stayed for one night on a trip over the Swiss alpine passes. The reception was very welcoming and we very much liked the receptionist, Stefan, and the owner, Thomas! All the staff was very friendly and caring. The hotel is a very old place, however it has been carefully refurbished and offers a nice interior and warm atmosphere. Imagine,... More

We stayed four nights in the Weisses Kreuz apartments right next door to the hotel. The apartment had one bedroom and a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom/standup shower and pull out sleeper futon. The decor was simple and modern, and the bed was so comfortable - the down pillows and duvets and mattress were just great. We slept so well. The... More

The rooms are simple - but very clean. And the heating is good, which is important in the Swiss mountains. I liked the good water pressure in the shower. There is TV and a safe and ok beds. What more do you need? The crew is very friendly and the hotel is good for families with kids. Breakfast and the... More

Stopped off for an early evening meal in the Restaurant. Although it does not look too hopeful as you enter the hotel, the restaurant is really nice. Busy even at 6pm, I had a simple and well cooked Pesto Spaghetti. Recommended

I have stayed here for a few days in the first week of four of the past five Decembers - the snow never fails to arrive just in time. The village and hotel are very peaceful at this time: the bedrooms are warm and cosy, the food is just great and the ambience is superb: the owners and their staff... More
