The Wheatsheaf is a delightful 17th-century coaching inn with a lively and vibrant traditional bar and dining areas. We serve the best of local seasonal produce and our menu has a great range of traditional pub favourites and a lot more. Great range of beers, real ales, wines and cocktails too. All rooms are en-suite and are cosy and comfortable. The Wheatsheaf has recently undergone a 'mini' facelift and received some much needed 'tlc'.

We had heard that the service here was hit and miss with the bar staff being generally distracted by their mobile phones or leaving the bar unattended whilst outside smoking. However, upon trying this pub tonight (New years Eve) we found to our bitter disappointment,...More

Visited lunch on a Saturday. I was served last nights reheated beef burger, dry as hell In a flat bun. The wife’s crusty bread with her vegetable stew was a standard ten bob sliced loaf. So disappointing.

We visited The Wheatsheaf for lunch recently. It was a cold, windy day and the lovely log fire created a cosy ambience in this character establishment. The main lunch menu was reasonably priced at £10 for the main course. We chose fish, chips and peas,...More

We run alongside the Carvery our normal menu. It's probably a good idea to book.
